Smackdown Women’s title match moved to the PPV card

The Smackdown Women’s title match has been moved from the Kickoff show to the pay-per-view card.

Fans did complain online about the placement of the title match and Becky Lynch acknowledged those complaints by tweeting, “You spoke up. You’re awesome. Thank you. #WrestleMania” Putting the Smackdown Women’s title match on the Kickoff show was seen as treating the title less important than the Raw Women’s title which was always slated for the PPV card.

Alexa Bliss will be defending the title against all of the available Smackdown women roster in a six-pack challenge. Becky Lynch, Naomi, Carmella, Mickie James, and Natalya are the opponents.

The Kickoff show now has two matches so far, the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal and the Cruiserweight title match between Austin Aries and Neville.
