Smackdown moving back to 3 hours in January 2026

The @WrestleVotes X account is reporting that Smackdown is moving back to three hours starting from the first episode of 2026.

The move to three hours, which was very unpopular when it was done earlier this year, ended in July when USA Network added a new show in the 10PM time slot.

In a recent talk, Paul “Triple H” Levesque described as Smackdown being two hours for half of the year and three hours for the other half of the year, and while people thought he meant that for this year, it looks like it will be a yearly thing.

The show has suffered greatly in quality over the past few months, many attributing the decline to head writer Brian “Road Dogg” James, who is now leading the show.
