Matt Cardona has signed a merchandise contract with WWE, allowing the company to promote and market apparel under the Zack Ryder name.

Cardona however has not signed a deal with WWE to return to the company, and continues to do his own thing on the independent scene.

Zack Ryder merchandise popped up on WWE Shop immediately following his Smackdown appearance where he lost to LA Knight in The Last Time Is Now tournament. It was his first time as Zack Ryder in a WWE ring since 2020.

“This might be a one time shot, I might get the call tomorrow, but it doesn’t matter because I’m Zack Ryder and I’m always ready,” Cardona said in a post-match interview published on WWE’s YouTube. “And I guess I can say this: Woo woo woo, you know it.”
