Former WWE champion Seth Rollins will be returning on television on next week’s New Year’s Day episode of Friday Night Smackdown on FOX.

Rollins has been off television for just over a month, taking some time off to spend time with his wife and newborn. His last appearance was at the Survivor Series pay-per-view where he was the first one eliminated from Team Smackdown, sacrificing himself for a Brogue Kick without having one offensive move.

Before that, he lost twice cleanly to Rey Mysterio and Murphy on Smackdown.

Rollins and Becky Lynch announced that they welcomed their first child on December 7. Lynch was last seen on the Raw after the Money In The Bank pay-per-view where she surrendered the Raw Women’s title.
