Sasha Banks confirms concussion received from referee blow

During her Q&A panel at Wizard World Philadelphia two days ago, Sasha Banks confirmed that she has been out of action due to a concussion she suffered a few weeks ago at a non-televised live event.

“I got kneed in the head by a referee,” Banks said, adding that for the past few weeks she’s been sitting in the back waiting to get the all clear to return. Banks said that she was a bit surprised at what happened as she definitely wasn’t waiting for it (it was an accident) but now she’s been cleared by the WWE medical team to return and already had her first match.

She returned on the June 1 episode of Main Event where she wrestled Summer Rae, a match which she won.
