Rey and Dominik Mysterio reveal COVID-19 diagnosis from December

Rey and Dominik Mysterio revealed that the two had coronavirus in December and that’s why they were missing from television that month.

Appearing on the Start Today Podcast, Rey said he was diagnosed with COVID-19 on December 11, which was his birthday. Mysterio spoke how the whole family got the virus except for his daughter and it all started with his parents, who then infected their housekeeper, who then infected his wife, and eventually infected him and his son too.

Rey said that he traveled to Smackdown and informed WWE about the housekeeper’s infection before he went to the ThunderDome despite testing negative the day before. Rey and Dominik actually never made it to the building as another test brought up a positive result for both of them, with the father and son team both having symptoms.

Describing the symptoms, Rey said he had big headaches and body aches and was really tired while Dominik had the same as well night sweats and chills.

WWE never announced that the Mysterios had COVID-19 despite being off television for a month.
