PROGRESS Wrestling to host 2 qualifiers from WWE Global Cruiserweight Series

PROGRESS Wrestling in the United Kingdom announced today that they will be hosting two qualifiers of the WWE Global Cruiserweight Series which will start airing on the WWE Network in July.

The two qualifiers will be held at their Chapter 29 event on April 24 which will take place at the Electric Ballroom in Camden, London. Tickets for the show go on sale on April 4.

WWE is looking at several independent wrestling organizations to host their qualifying matches and have already tapped EVOLVE to host the U.S. part of the qualifiers. Cruiserweights from all over the world will participate in this show and ultimately 32 will move on.

The series will see the remaining 32 of the greatest in-ring competitors under 205lbs who will spend 10 weeks in Orlando, Florida, competing against each other at Full Sail University to earn the right to be called “the best cruiserweight in the world.”
