New Smackdown Tag Team champions crowned

New tag team champions were crowned on Smackdown as The New Day became five-times Smackdown Tag Team title holders, defeating The Bludgeon Brothers.

The no disqualification match featured Kofi and Woods as representatives of The New Day and they won the match after Woods delivered a flying elbow on Luke Harper through a table.

It’s good to note that Erick Rowan tore his biceps during their SummerSlam match according to PWInsider.com so that might be one of the reasons for the title switch. Rowan was given the day off last night from the non-televised live event in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
