John Cena suffering from eye injury

John Cena’s real eye injury was played into last night’s angle with Rusev as it’s pretty impossible not to notice the bruising.

According to WWE physician Dr. Chris Amann, Cena suffered a corneal abrasion during one of last weekend’s non-televised live event matches, although he did not specify when or how it happened.

“As mentioned [on commentary], those injuries were a scratched cornea and a ruptured blood vessel,” Amann told WWE.COM. He then went into work mode and said that the injury was “exacerbated” by Rusev during their angle.
