John Cena possibly injured during non-televised live event in Hampton

The number one contender for the United States title John Cena was injured at last night’s non-televised live WWE event in Hampton, Virginia, in his match against Kevin Owens.

Cena went for a variation of a sunset flip move but landed on his head. He immediately dropped to his back with his arms spread as Kevin Owens went for the pin. According to eye witness reports, the referee threw up the X hand signal and the match was stopped as the WWE medical team rushed to check on the former champion.

The match was then restarted and Cena went through a table before the planned finish with Cena going over. After the match Cena did not celebrate and headed straight to the back.
