Intercontinental title match may not happen at Extreme Rules

The Intercontinental title match at Extreme Rules featuring the champ Daniel Byran taking on Wade Barrett may not take place after all due to Daniel Byran’s ongoing health issues.

During the rundown of matches on Raw last night, it was noted that the match will only take place “Daniel Bryan’s health permitting.” The announcers did not elaborate on the statement and quickly moved to the other matches on the card.

Bryan last wrestled at the Smackdown tapings in London in a tag team match and took only one bump. He was sent home immediately after the event and did not participate in any of the remaining non-televised events throughout Europe.

The Intercontinental champion is back to where he was last year after WrestleMania, injured after winning the title.
