Gunther wins WWE World Heavyweight champion on Raw

Gunther became a two-time WWE World Heavyweight champion last night after he defeated Jey Uso fair and square in the middle of the ring on Raw.

Uso went to sleep as The Ring General locked in his sleeper hold after Jey had managed to escape the hold just moments earlier. But the second time proved a bit too much for Uso and fans gasped as Jey’s hand failed to respond to the referee’s touch.

And just like that, his reign as World Heavyweight champion came to an end after just 51 days. He won it from Gunther with the same move at WrestleMania 41, ending Gunther’s 258-day reign as champ back then.

There were no hints of any cash-in from Seth Rollins any time during the broadcast.
