Graves to do play-by-play on Smackdown with Barrett on color commentary

PWInsider.com is reporting that Corey Graves has been promoted to lead play-by-play of Friday Night Smackdown starting from this week.

Graves will replace Kevin Patrick in the role and marks the first time that he will be the lead commentator for a show, having previously been doing color commentary. Doing play-by-play is considerably harder than commentary as the lead will call the bulk of the matches.

Wade Barrett, who was doing color commentary with Michael Cole on Monday Night Raw, will move back to Smackdown to do help Graves with color commentary.

This is the latest shakeup in the announce teams after Pat McAfee returned full-time, at least for now, with Cole on Raw.
