The next number one contender for the NXT title will be decided next week as General Manager William Regal announced during a WWE.COM video that a battle royal will take place to see who will face Finn Balor.

The NXT title took a backseat over the past few weeks as the focus was on the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament and Balor – tag teaming with Samoa Joe – were in the tournament and eventually winning it as well.

Balor defended the title last at the NXT Takeover: Brooklyn event in a ladder match against Kevin Owens.

Also on next week’s show Nia Jax, who is the real-life cousin of former WWE champion The Rock, will be making her NXT television debut.

Four weeks worth of NXT shows are being taped tonight at Full Sail University.
