Eric Bischoff with first public comments since his removal as Smackdown Executive Director

Former Smackdown Executive Producer Eric Bischoff gave his first public comments on Twitter after he was removed from his role just four months following his appointment.

Bischoff was replaced by Bruce Prichard yesterday, a decision which caught many by surprise but a decision which a few inside the company were expecting due to the way things were being handled.

“Bruce is a great producer, good friend and I am certain he is going to thrive in his position,” Bischoff wrote. “He’s going to be working with a great team of the most dedicated and hard working people I have had the pleasure of working with and getting to know.”

The former WCW President had just relocated to Stamford in July for his full-time gig with WWE.
