The Rated-R Superstar Edge has returned for the first time on television since the main event of WrestleMania 37.

Edge attacked Roman Reigns during last night’s Smackdown while Reigns was having his the “State of the Universal title address” segment. Jimmy Uso also received a spear through the security barricade for his trouble.

The Royal Rumble winner was already advertised for the July 16 Smackdown but his return came a few weeks earlier.

Edge is expected to be part of the SummerSlam build-up as WWE goes all hands on deck for this important pay-per-view in Las Vegas.

The last time Edge was in a WWE ring, Reigns stacked him on top of Daniel Bryan and pinned them both much to the surprise of the Tampa crowd.
