Dwayne Johnson confirms leading role in The Fall Guy for WWE Studios

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has confirmed on Twitter that he will be playing the lead man in the upcoming movie The Fall Guy which will be co-financed by Hyde Park Entertainment and WWE Studios.

“The unknown stuntman who moonlights as a bounty hunter.. Fired up to play the role. Cool, bad ass & fun,” Johnson tweeted today.

The Fall Guy is a 1980s television show which centered around a Hollywood stunt man who earned extra money by working as a bounty hunter. Lee Majors played the role of The Fall Guy in the television show and Nicolas Cage was attached to do the movie before Johnson stepped in.

This will be Johnson’s first feature film for WWE Studios with McG taking over as director.
