Charlotte gets Smackdown Women’s title shot at HIAC

WWE Superstar Charlotte made her first appearance on television in over a month last night on Smackdown and got herself a title shot at Hell In A Cell.

Charlotte beat Tamina, Becky Lynch, and Naomi in a fatal 4-way match to become the new number one contender for the Smackdown Women’s title. Last year, Charlotte main evented Hell In A Cell with Sasha Banks as the two wrestled in the first-ever women’s HIAC match.

“Felt so good to lace up my boots tonight,” Charlotte said in a tweet, before thanking her opponents in different tweets.

The former WWE Divas and Women’s champion took some time off to stay by her father’s side who was hospitalized on August 12. She returned touring with Smackdown in late August and has been backstage at television shows for the past three weeks but has not been used.
