Braun Strowman undergoes cervical fusion surgery, out for several months

WWE Superstar Braun Strowman announced on social media that he had a level one fusion on his C4/C5 vertebrae, explaining why he has not been on WWE television lately.

The surgery was performed by Dr. Andrew M. Cordover, of Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, Alabama.

“Thank you to WWE for always taking the upmost care of us,” Strowman wrote, adding that it was very scary to find out that he has to undergo the procedure.

“They were there every step of the way reassuring that I was going to have the best care possible,” he added. “This will take a little bit of time to heal from.”

Strowman assured fans that he will be back and thanked everyone for the well wishes.

Recovery from cervical fusion surgery usually takes up to six months.
