The Money In The Bank cash-in saga is finally over, ending in an uninspiring way for Austin Theory as he failed to cash in…on the United States title.

The whole ordeal came after Lashley and Rollins were supposed to have a match in the main event of Raw but the match never got underway as Lashley attacked him before the bell rang. After WWE officials managed to get Lashley away from Rollins, Theory’s music hit and he came down with the briefcase and cashed in.

Lashley, still pissed off about losing to Brock at Crown Jewel, attacked him too and left him laid out. Rollins then hit the stomp on him and pinned him to successfully retain the United States title.

Theory won the MITB briefcase in Las Vegas and failed multiple times to cash in since July. He becomes the fifth WWE star to unsuccessfully win a title after cashing in.
