Asuka gets Raw Women’s title shot at Hell In A Cell 2022

The recently-returned Asuka became the number one contender for the Raw Women’s title after last night she beat Becky Lynch in the main event of Monday Night Raw.

During the match, Becky threw Asuka on Bianca Belair who was sitting at ringside and Belair returned the favor when she went up on the apron and distracted the referee, enabling Asuka to spit green mist to the face of Becky Lynch. A roundhouse kick and a three-count later and Asuka was declared the winner.

Asuka and Becky were not even supposed to be wrestling each other last night as both were part of the planned six pack challenge. According to Fightful Wrestling, Naomi was the planned winner of the match but both she and Sasha Banks walked out of Raw, leaving the main event to be re-written.

Asuka will now face Bianca Belair on the Hell In A Cell premium live event on June 5.
