Al Roker to be guest ring announcer for mixed tag match at WrestleMania

During his hosting duties on NBC’s TODAY show this morning, John Cena invited co-anchor Al Roker to be a guest ring announcer at WrestleMania.

“I have a special surprise for you,” Cena told Roker, who was at the University of Oklahoma for his 2017 Roker-thon. The 16-time World champ said that he knows that Roker will be at WrestleMania, but he needs someone to stand in the middle of the ring and do the announcing for his match in front of 70,000 fans. Cena then asked Roker if he accepts the gig, and a surprised Roker replied with “Yes! Yes! Yes!” as students from the University presented him with a replica WWE title.

Roker will be taking over the introductions for the mixed tag team match featuring Cena himself and his girlfriend Nikki taking on The Miz and his wife Maryse.
