Scott Steiner still in hospital but expected to make full recovery

Scott Steiner is expected to make a full recovery and is responding well while at a hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

The former champion collapsed backstage at Impact tapings and was rushed to the hospital after EMTs managed to get him up following a suspected heart attack.

PWInsider.com reports that Steiner is lucky to have been close to paramedics when he collapsed as with any cardiac issues, quick action is paramount to survival. Steiner underwent surgery yesterday.

Steiner’s wife thanked Impact Wrestling for taking care of her husband, mentioning Scott D’Amore, Tommy Dreamer, Johnny Swinger, and Joey Ryan who stayed with him. She also thanked the Cobb County EMTs for keeping him alive. “We appreciate all the well wishes, thoughts & prayers. He will make a 100% recovery,” she wrote.
