Santino Marella has signed a deal with Impact Wrestling so his appearance as the new Director of Authority at Hard To Kill is not a short-term angle.

Impact announced the signing yesterday in a message on social media, simply writing, “Santino Marella has signed with Impact Wrestling!”

The former WWE Superstar is familiar with the promotion and last Friday’s appearance was not his first one for the company. He worked for Impact in 2017 and did occasional commentary for them a year later as well.

Marella returned at Hard To Kill as the new boss in town as Scott D’Amore is out after he was attacked by Bully Ray.

Impact applied to trademark the name of Santino Marella last month with the USPTO after WWE let it expire.
