Santino Marella to wrestle for NXT North American title next week

TNA’s Director of Authority Santino Marella is stepping back inside a WWE ring and will be wrestling Ethan Page on next week’s episode of NXT for the NXT North American title.

Page unveiled an updated version of the title with the Canadian flag on the strap and put over Canada while thrash talking the United States.

Marella, who is also Canadian, interrupted the champion who was singing the Canadian national anthem, and told him that he should be ashamed of himself. Marella called Page a “bumhole boy” while Page told him he should go back to TNA.

Marella added that someone with dignity and honor should hold the North American title and issued a challenge to Page for next week. Page tried to one-up Marella but the cobra was waiting for him as he turned around, bailing out before anything could happen.

This will be Santino’s first time wrestling in a WWE ring since the 2020 Royal Rumble.
