Josh Alexander makes surprise quick return at Slammiversary

Just four months after surrendering the Impact world title due to a triceps tear and subsequent surgery, Josh Alexander returned at Slammiversary last night.

The former champion appeared at the end of the pay-per-view after Alex Shelley successfully defended his title against Nick Aldis in the main event of the show. As Shelley celebrated, Alexander’s music hit the speakers and he came out to the ring for a face-to-face with Shelley.

Alexander grabbed a microphone and said, “I’m back” to a very unimpressed Shelley.

A triceps tear usually take much longer to heal so it will be interesting to see if Alexander gets physically involved this early following surgery.

Impact holds their next TV tapings today in the same location of last night’s pay-per-view.
