Johnny Impact and LAX wrap up their Impact Wrestling contracts

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that former Impact Tag Team champions LAX and former Impact World champion Johnny Impact had their last matches with the promotion on Sunday at Slammiversary XVII.

Johnny Impact is a free agent after he finished up his final date at the pay-per-view. The popular 39-year-old has also wrestled for WWE, Lucha Underground, and Lucha Libre AAA prior to joining Impact Wrestling. The 17-year in-ring veteran has won titles everywhere he wrestled and is surely on the radar of both WWE and AEW.

The Latin American Xchange team of Santana and Ortiz are former four-time Impact Tag Team champions. Both have been members of the LAX faction since March 2017 and along with Konnan are the only remaining members of the group. Since the group’s inception in December 2005, LAX has seen a total of 12 members. Santana and Ortiz have offers from both AEW and WWE although at this point it’s unclear where they will be ending up.
