Impact World champion Josh Alexander injured, surrenders title

Impact World champion Josh Alexander is surrendering the title after he suffered a triceps tear, an injury that will keep him out of action for several months.

Alexander is going under the knife today at the Celebration Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Institute in Florida with Dr Brad M. Homan performing the surgery.

The two-time Impact World champion won the belt at the 2022 Rebellion pay-per-view and is the longest-reigning Impact World champion in company history.

With Alexander out, Steve Maclin will replace him and team with Rich Swann and Frankie Kazarian tonight at the Sacrifice event in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, against Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin and KUSHIDA.
