The WWE live event set for December 30 in Laval, Quebec, has been postponed and is now rescheduled for March 6, 2022. The Place Bell website already lists the event under the new date.
The government of Quebec issued several restrictions due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and restricted sports and concert venues to operate without any fans. With no fans in the building, there was no way the event was going to proceed. Tickets already purchased will remain valid for the new date.
As reported yesterday, the December 29 show from Toronto will continue as advertised with a 50% capacity.

The AEW World title rematch between champion Hangman Page and challenger Bryan Danielson will take place on the January 5 debut episode of Dynamite on TBS.
Their first encounter at the Winter is Coming Dynamite ended in a 60-minute draw, making it the second draw for Danielson in AEW after he went to a 30-minute draw against Kenny Omega back in September.
This match will have a winner though as the stipulation calls for judges during the match who will determine who wins in case this goes to another time-limit draw. It was Danielson who came up with the idea and Page said that he will win the match in under the stipulated time.
Once Dynamite moves permanently to TBS, the West Coast will once again get the show on prime time at 8PM PT rather than 5PM like now which has affected the viewership since the switch.

Three of the four members of The Undisputed Era are now wrestling in All Elite Wrestling as Kyle O’Reilly became the latest star to sign with the promotion, making his debut during the Holiday Bash themed episode of Dynamite yesterday.
O’Reilly made his presence felt when he interfered in the match between Adam Cole and Orange Cassidy, with O’Reilly attacking Cassidy from behind, helping Cole win the match. Bobby Fish also appeared at ringside and was the one who distracted Cassidy, allowing O’Reilly to sneak up from behind.
The former NXT Tag Team champion, who just left WWE after his contract expired two weeks ago, will be reuniting with Cole and Fish in the ring next week as they take on Best Friends and Orange Cassidy in a six-man tag match.
NXT on USA Network, with an appearance by AJ Styles, drew 591,000 viewers, up 30,000 viewers from last week’s show. In the 18-49 demo, NXT drew just 0.11, down 0.03 from last week and ended in #46 in the top 50 cable chart. The night was dominated by NFL on FOX which drew 14.9 million viewers. The Holiday Bash themed episode of Dynamite starts tonight on TNT at 8PM ET and continues this Friday on Rampage.
Headlining the show is a six-man tag team match featuring CM Punk teaming up with Sting and Darby Allin to take on MJF and FTR of The Pinnacle. Also tonight is Orange Cassidy vs Adam Cole, Malakai Black vs Griff Garrison, Ruby Soho vs Nyla Rose in the TBS tournament semi final match, and Tony Schiavone and Britt Baker host the AEW Christmas party!
The show is taking place from the Greensboro Coliseum Complex in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The subtle art of grappling has been a mainstay in all kinds of MMA fighting, not least the UFC brand, and there is a benefit to watching a good wrestler do his thing in the octagon.
And wrestlers have a long recent history of dominating the sport thanks to mastering their one particular discipline to overpower their opponents.
In previous years the likes of Dan Severn, Mark Coleman, Josh Koscheck and Matt Hughes showed that their experience in training in the one discipline from a young age could win out over their opponents.
A lot of other fighters would only have learnt the wrestling aspect of MMA in older years, having trained in one or two combat disciplines such as kick-boxing, jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai prior to that.
However, with the fast-paced growth of the sport in the past decade attracting fighters from all kinds of training backgrounds there is now a far more varied output to MMA. This has leveled the playing field across the various inter-disciplines and made for real entertaining fights to watch and bet on.
Due to the now more even contests, thanks to fighters learning many of the 15 disciplines involved, you can sometimes find it tough to bet on MMA as the fights can be very close to call.
But you will be able to find the best UFC fight odds to help you decide on a fight winner, or even an overall winner, with the likelihood that they will have come from a strong wrestling background. Of the 83 champions crowned by the UFC to date, well over half came from a background in grappling.
And most of that half will have taken up wrestling as their dominant martial art before moving into MMA – a higher proportion than any other discipline to find success in the sport. Even the second-best provider of UFC champions is the other main grappling discipline – Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
When you consider that there have been only five UFC title winners with a background in boxing, despite this being the biggest most popular combat sport in the world it shows just how crucial wrestling is.
Both Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling are excellent wrestling styles for UFC, especially as freestyle takedowns transition so well, whilst the clinching element from the Greco-Roman style is also hugely beneficial.
In the crazy, chaotic world of MMA the ability to grapple and grapple well cannot go unnoticed – you simply cannot compete in battle if you do not possess wrestling skills, especially defensive ones. And it works the other way too, with UFC fighters making moves into pro wrestling to some success.
Let us now take a look at just some of those specific skills and techniques that make wrestling such a successful method of winning in UFC…
Double-leg takedown
This is the first takedown you’ll learn and is the simplest and most effective. It is the standard bearer of every UFC fighter who wants to take the fight to the ground. Former UFC Welterweight World Champion Georges St-Pierre has one of the most effective double leg takedowns in MMA history, even using it against more accomplished wrestlers such as the aforementioned All-American Josh Koscheck.
If done properly this technique uses the opponent’s momentum against them, and it can be very hard to defend against.
To execute the move you would lower yourself by bending your knees before using your back leg to propel yourself forward. Grab your opponent’s legs around the thighs and squeeze them together. Keep your head tight against your opponent’s body, pull your back leg toward your opponent’s outside leg, and drive your opponent to the ground.
You can also operate the single-leg version if your opponent manages to get one leg away from the above move. To execute a single leg takedown, you should isolate one of your opponent’s legs and pull them towards the leg you are holding.
Body lock takedowns are very common inside the cage as clinching is a big part of UFC. It’s actually easier to clinch with someone than to go for a takedown and is a great defensive technique.
The easiest way to complete a takedown from the body lock is by pulling in your opponent’s lower back while pushing forward with your head on their chest. You can also complete the takedown by lifting your opponent up in the air and throwing them to the ground.
Famously utilized by Dan Henderson, a properly performed body lock will result in your opponent’s feet lifting off the mat and him rotating all the way over to his back.
Snap down
One of the easiest ways to get a fight to the ground is by using the snap down which allows you to use all your body weight and strength to control your opponent as you snap down his head, forcing him over and to the ground.
This takedown is especially effective if you’re already controlling your opponent with a Muay Thai clinch/plum, especially since you have one arm in position on his head already to pull him down into the snap.
As well as the above techniques, the first thing any aspiring wrestler will learn is chokes and joint-locks which transfer well into the cage. It is no wonder why the stats show fighters with a strong grappling game are successful in UFC, and the above techniques are a huge part of that.
In an e-mail sent to ticket holders of the WWE live event in Toronto, the Coca-Cola Coliseum said that the show will go on as planned with 50% reduced capacity and offered fans a refund for those who did not wish to attend.
“The health and safety of you, our fans, is our top priority. If you prefer not to attend the event out of an abundance of caution, we have opened an optional refund window,” reads the e-mail which was forwarded to us by W-O reader Josh Packham.
A refund window is open until tomorrow, Thursday, December 23 at 5PM ET. You can process your refund by logging into your Ticketmaster.ca account and following the refund instructions.
WWE probably did not originally have over 50% of the capacity sold which is why it’s less of a headache to go ahead with the event without much changes. Hall of Famer Trish Stratus will be hosting the show.
More information on the Owen Hart Cup Tournament will be given tonight during the Holiday Bash themed episode of Dynamite.
Last week AEW revealed that there will be two tournaments, one for men and one for women, taking place in May with the finals of both tournaments happening at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view later in the month.
Tonight, AEW is promoting that they will take a special look at the tournament including stars from multiple generations speaking about Owen’s legacy and footage of Owen wrestling in New Japan Pro Wrestling plus private home videos supplied by Dr. Martha Hart, the widow of Owen Hart.
Martha will also be at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view to present the winners with the cup herself.
This is the first time that Owen’s family is involved with something related to professional wrestling since his untimely death in May 1999.
The December 26 WWE non-televised live event is typically the largest one for the company, held at Madison Square Garden in New York and is now an annual tradition.
But this year, the world’s most famous arena will be most largely empty following dismal ticket sales unless there’s a big surge in the final few days, especially walk-ins on the day of the show.
The upper 200 section remains mostly unsold with thousands of tickets remaining while the lower 100 section, although fairing better than the 200 section, still suffers big time. There is also a good number of floor seats which are still available for purchase. The addition of two cage matches to try and spice up the card did not do much, if nothing at all, to move sales.
Tickets for this show start at $31 each but come Boxing Day, this will be a major disappointment for WWE for the inability to move tickets at an arena they have called home for many decades.
Pro wrestling is an industry that consumes vast amounts of talent, and WWE has regularly relied on the presence of some of boxing’s biggest names to legitimize itself as a mainstream form of sports entertainment.
Boxing may be a massively different industry now than it was back in the day. You might watch some of those big, grandiose matches between competitors like Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather and think it’s all not that different from WWE these days. And you’d be right – but boxing is still one of our most historic, legitimate combat sports.
People have been watching it for centuries, and high-profile boxers would typically have more respect than pro wrestlers back then. That’s because they don’t stage fights and people decidedly inflict pain on each other, rather than it happening by chance due to a mishap in the WWE. There’s a lot of cross-over between the two industries, as athletes always tend to go where the most money is.
Boxers have become wrestlers, wrestlers have become boxers – and some athletes have simply appeared on the brand as a novelty attraction in return for massive paychecks. Here’s just six of the biggest boxers who you may have seen on some top sports picks back in the day who’ve made an appearance in WWE.
MIKE TYSON
Iron Mike is synonymous with boxing, one of the sport’s biggest names to this day – and he made his first appearance in WWE in 1998 at Wrestlemania XIV. Tyson was a guest enforcer (and honorary member of D-Generation X) for the main event match between Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold Steve Austin, who was a rising star at the time.
His fee for this small initial series of appearances is estimated at around three million dollars, but the returns for WWE were astonishing. Not only did Tyson’s appearances help bring a significant amount of mainstream sports media coverage to the company, it also increased the purchases of WrestleMania by almost a quarter of million more than the previous installment.
MUHAMMAD ALI
Another one of the greats, Ali appeared in pro wrestling four years after his last fight as a boxer. He actually served as a guest referee/enforcer during the very first WrestleMania, in a stacked tag-team match between Hulk Hogan/Mr. T and “Rowdy” Roddy Piper/Mr. Wonderful.
His boxing days might have been behind him but that didn’t stop Ali from climbing into the ring at one point and taking a few swings at Roddy Piper. Ali’s presence would attract huge amounts of mainstream attention to what was a very young WWF at the time – much like Mike Tyson did a few years later.
Much of Ali’s boxing persona was actually inspired by pro wrestling. In modern times, that aggressive, charismatic bravado seems normal. Mayweather and McGregor are full of attitude, for example – but that all started with Muhammad Ali, inspired by wrestling promos.
FLOYD MAYWEATHER
Love him or hate him, Mayweather is an undefeated champion and a massive draw to any sports events. The methods in which he’s defended that undefeated record is a subject of some controversy, but the man fills seats wherever he goes.
Mayweather – almost the perfect heel – fought The Big Show in a match at WrestleMania 24, and – unsurprisingly – retained that undefeated record.
MR. T
These days, Mr. T just kind of exists as a meme. It’s easy to forget as a result that he was a very successful actor back in the day – with a serious competitive boxing background too.
His boxing prowess was what earned him the role of Clubber Lang in Rocky III, and this combination of sport and charisma made him a natural fit for pro wrestling. He would team up with Hulk Hogan for the main event match against Rowdy Roddy Piper and Mr. Wonderful – the very same one refereed by Muhammad Ali.
TYSON FURY
This one’s fresh (at least compared to some of the other entries on this list). Tyson Fury was embroiled in a feud with one of WWE’s (literally) biggest talents, Braun Strowman. It was a slow build over a few episodes of SmackDown – Strowman taunted Fury, who was sitting at the ringside, eventually hurling Dolph Ziggler at him. Fury jumped the rail and went for Strowman.
Later on, Fury would demand an apology that Strowman refused to give, and another brawl broke out. The two went on to have an official confrontation at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. Fury unsurprisingly won the fight, and pocketed a cool fifteen million dollars for his troubles.
Unlike many of the other Boxers though, Tyson Fury is still going strong in the sport. Most recently he fought and beat Deontay Wilder in their third bout. And whilst many were calling for him to fight Anthony Joshua next, you’ll find him on the top sports picks for his next fight, likely to be against Dillian Whyte instead who is -200 to be his next opponent. The Gypsy King will be favorite for the fight, should it go ahead, but if not, he could be on the books to face either Otto Wallin (+275) or Oleksandr Usyk (+500) after that.
BUTTERBEAN
Compared to some of the other big stars in this article Butterbean might seem like an odd choice. He doesn’t exactly stand alongside the greats like Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson. Butterbean’s story comes with some interesting background, though.
Back in 1998, WWE ran the “Brawl for All” tournament. These were essentially set up as “shoot” matches – real fights to find out who the toughest wrestler in WWE really was.
These fights caused several injuries but one competitor was crowned – Bart Gunn. Gunn got a huge cash prize and found himself matched against Butterbean at Wrestlemania 15.
The problem there was that Butterbean was an actual boxer, and a very good one at that, where Gunn was a pro-wrestler who wanted to be a boxer. Butterbean ended the fight in thirty five seconds – and that’s why he’s on this list.
WWE Hall of Famer Glenn “Kane” Jacobs wrote on social media that he filed the petition sheet for Knox County Mayor this week and urged his supporters to support him to serve as Knox County Mayor again in the 2022 elections.
Jacobs had already indicated earlier this year that he will run in next year’s elections. Jacobs became mayor of Knox County in 2018 after beating the Democratic choice Linda Haney with 66.39% of the votes. During his time as mayor, he limited his WWE appearances and any time he wrestled for the promotion, including trips to Saudi Arabia, his money was donated.
Jacobs touts no tax increases, job growth, three new school buildings, standing up against lockdowns, giving no money to Planned Parenthood and others as his accomplishments so far during his role.
This is definitely a great season for gamers. The arrival of new consoles and amazing graphics capabilities have allowed us to play visually impressive titles telling different stories and starring intriguing characters. The attractive WWE niche that stretches from wrestling video games to online casino slots comes with top wrestling themes we will just show you now. The selection of WWE games and other niches displayed here is brought by PikachuCasinos experts who compiled it based on players’ preferences and interests.
WWF WrestleMania 2000
Built on the WCW/nWo Revenge engine from Nintendo 64, the game lets you visit Raw is War and Sunday Night Heat arenas leading the wrestler to greater glory. The game stars some of the most popular and attractive WWE fighters. You will find The Rock who took the Royal Rumble title the same year standing side by side with Hardcore Holly, Triple H, Road Dogg, Chaz, Thrasher, and the notorious Undertaker.
In total, it is possible to choose between more than 50 male and female professional wrestling champions including Chyna, Debra, and Ivory. Certain characters are unlockable at later stages in the series, so you will get a chance to play with Cactus Jack, Dude Love, and Shawn Michaels. All of them start the Road to Wrestlemania mode.
Unlocking better-paying stages is introduced in the latest slot machines. Naturally, wrestling fans can wager for cash to get the best experience. When doing so, it is also important to choose the most suitable payment method. We suggest you read reviews of reputable casinos where Venus Point is an accepted way to fund your wallet in and out. After learning this important fact, you can pick a game wrestling hero stars in. Our recommendation goes to the all-American (anti) hero Hulk Hogan and his WWE adventures presented in a couple of crossover wrestling games.
Saturday Night Slam Masters
In Japan, the game is known as Muscle Bomber The Body Explosion and offers a cooperative mode for a maximum of 4 gamers. They can fight 1 on 1 or 2 on 2, where this arcade game really starts to impress, given the date of release.
Played like a traditional wrestling game, this arcade relies on a three-button configuration where characters can attack, jump, or grab the opponent. Each pro wrestler has his own moves including two special attacks. Also, it is possible to choose between the Single Match and Team Battle Royale modes.
Just like some other titles in this niche, the game comes with a roster of ten fighters. Their background stories are really interesting. For example, Biff Slamkovich aka Aleksey Zalazof is the protagonist, while Gunlock or Lucky Colt is his eternal nemesis. The Great Oni or Mysterious Budo employs Japanese-styled moves, while Titanic Tim uses his massive appearance to both fight and intimidate opponents. You will also find Jumbo Flapjack, the main antagonist and final boss The Scorpion, merciless Alexander the Grater, and Mike “Macho” Haggar whose lovely daughter enters the court to celebrate father’s victories.
Lucha Libre
Let’s take a break from good wrestling games with one of the most attractive wrestling themed slots you can take for fun or for real money. Set in an imaginary scenery of the Mexican pro wrestling world and packed with iconic hand-drawn characters, the game is produced by RealTime Gaming and offers an array of betting opportunities.
Taco Malo and Guacamole are humorous Wild Wrestlers shaped as grouped Wilds on the third reel. You can use them to complete a winning line especially when one of them covers the entire reel. That’s how they can double the score or jump to the next reel to repeat the routine.
Scatter Pays mode is also exercised and comes with two symbols doing the same job. The Wrestling Ring multiplies the total bet 2x, 10x, or 200x. The Scattered Mask pays back for winners made right from the left during the Mask of Fiery Doom feature where it is possible to take 81x Scatter Wins. The other bonus round is called Time to Rumble and you need to choose 1 out of 3 fighting moves to defeat your opponent. Spanko Especial, Supremo Foot of Fury, and Thunder Clap Bam Bam respectively grant 14, 10, or 6 free spins with up to 2x bonus game triggered within.
Def Jam Vendetta
Developed by AKI Corporation and published by EA Sports, the game combines pro wrestling with hip hop. Owners of both PlayStation 2 and GameCube were and still are entitled to this interesting EA’s trip to the rumbling niche. There is a lengthy story mode where up to four characters can gain extra skills and level up accordingly. The ultimate goal is to become the most famous (or notorious?) star in the urban fighting games league. Eventually, the task implies you defeat D-Mob, an undisputed boss of the underground who doesn’t know for mercy.
There are three ways to complete the mission – a knockout, pin, or submission. The first will be possible whenever your opponent’s health bar is at a lower level. Speaking of characters, there are 46 of them including real-life hip-hoppers such as Def Jam, Christina Milian who played the main song, Dabo, and S-Word.
D-Mob’s Crew includes the likes of Funkmaster Flex, Joe Budden, Redman, Scarface, DMX, Capone, and Ghostface Killah. You’ll start as either Briggs, Proof, Tank, or DJ Spider, but there are no different stories about any of them. During the wrestling video game, you will pass multiple levels and collect improvements. Non-playing characters will show up every now and then including Deja, The Protagonist, Ludacris, and many others. This was more than a blockbusting title amassing more than $30 million and 700K copies sold just in the United States.
Conclusion
Long story short, it’s really not easy to emphasize one title among the best wrestling games of all time. The theme spreads across multiple genres of online entertainment and it seems like every single one of them has a faithful audience. Recently, we found many of them crossing the line and turning into slots or other casino games, which just boosts the base of interested gamers. One more thing before you go: wrestling is also one of the founding games of the Olympic Games, while eSports are announced to be a category in the next iteration of this global challenge. Who knows, maybe playing some of the titles described here will get you an Olympic gold medal.
Former WWE Performance Center coach and tag team champion Scott Garland is returning to the ring for Game Changer Wrestling.
Known better to fans under the name of Scotty 2 Hotty, the 48-year-old resigned from his coaching position with WWE late last month after spending five years as a coach teaching the second of four levels of classes in Orlando.
In a post on Instagram, Garland wrote last month that the black and gold brand was something special for him and he always promised himself that he would never be part of something solely for the paycheck.
“I told myself that I would walk away if I ever got to that point, so that is what I have chosen to do. Coaching and producing the stars of NXT will always be a highlight of my life. I love you all more than you will ever know,” he wrote.
Now, the former Too Cool member is lacing up his wrestling boots one more time and will be facing Joey Janela at the GCW Die 4 This show on Saturday, January 1 at The Showboat in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
When it comes to professional sports, a lot of athletes like to try their hands at more than one, and rightly so. They have many talents so it is only right that they make the most of them. One of the biggest areas for crossover is professional fighting as there are a number of different types. Over the years we have seen many UFC fighters switch professions and become wrestlers. There are a number of reasons why they do this but let us go ahead and take a look at some of the best UFC fighters who have turned to wrestling.
If you could take anyone currently in the UFC and cross them over to wrestling, who would be your top UFC picks? Would you like to see someone like Nate Diaz enter a wrestling ring? What do you think the odds of him winning a wrestling match would be? Maybe you’d prefer to see “The Black Beast” Derrick Lewis take on your favorite wrestler? Either way, there is no doubt that some of these crossover athletes have brought a lot of entertainment to our lives!
Odds are by now most people have heard of an athlete that has made the switch in their careers. One of the other upsides to all of this is that it opens up odds for bettors. Just because you are good at MMA doesn’t always mean that you will be good at wrestling. This is true in a lot of cases as we actually see betting odds placed against numerous fighters in their first wrestling matches. This also means should you have faith in your favorite fighter and that they are the underdog, you could possibly make some good returns if they win their first professional wrestling match.
So with that being said, let’s take a look at some of those over the years who have made the switch.
Tank Abbot – While his wrestling career never really took off in the WCW, he was poised to do amazing things. They had brought him in with the hopes he would be a good contender for the likes of wrestlers like Goldberg, but nothing really ever came of this. Instead, he became more of a joke used for entertainment purposes and eventually was let go.
Ken Shamrock – Depending on how old you are, you may or may not have known that he had an amazing UFC career before he joined up with what was known at the time as the WWF. Shamrock achieved a number of accolades throughout his career in both the UFC and WWF and is even a member of the UFC Hall Of Fame! Alongside the WWF, Shamrock also wrestled for TNA, Japan Pro-Wrestling, and more, just further extending the greatness of his career!
Tito Ortiz – Once known as one of the most marketable bad boys in UFC, Ortiz had a knack for irritating his opponents and getting under their skin. The most memorable was the time when he annoyed Ken Shamrock so much that Ken actually kicked a chair at Ortiz. Of course, Ortiz found this amusing but this was just the type of guy he was. Ortiz made his wrestling debut in 2005 and would make quite a few appearances for TNA over his career.
Ronda Rousey – Probably one of the bigger names to make the crossover of the past few years, Rousey was another that fancied some time outside of the octagon and instead, in the ring. Alongside her career in the UFC which saw her defend her Bantamweight Championship six times, she also won the bronze medal in judo at the 2008 Olympics. Rousey always had her eye on wrestling and after a pair of massive losses to Holm and Nunes, she decided it was time to make the switch. Rousey joined the WWE and has even held the WWE Raw Women’s Championship belt.
Shayna Basler – While she only had a very short-lived UFC career, Shayna was one of the original women to fight MMA and helped pave the way for women’s MMA to be a recognized sport. While she did appear in a season of The Ultimate Fighter, she didn’t manage to get any wins. After this, Basler managed to use her style to get signed by the WWE and even managed to win the NXT Women’s Championship not once, but twice!
Going from the UFC to wrestling seems like a natural fit for some. However, there are just as many wrestlers that make the jump to MMA and the UFC as well. Either way, these athletes must go through extensive training and have an amazingly positive mindset to be able to fight or wrestle in any type of professional setting. Even with the odds stacked against them, fighters from either sport are always ready to go out there and give it their all, if for now other reason than to stick it to their haters. While one would imagine they also want to prove to themselves they can do it, sticking it to a hater must also feel equally as good.
One of the things you can bet on these days is that Covid-19 could play a drastic part in messing up any sporting event. Most recently, the WWE live event in Quebec is having some uncertainty whether or not it will go ahead as the province is being shut down by covid. While the UFC has been a bit luckier if you will, during Covid times and not yet had to shut down because of it, it is still a great possibility that it could happen at any given moment in time. Dana White is proud that the UFC has been able to continue as it means people still have jobs they are getting paid to do which means they have a stable roof over their heads and food on their table during these current times! It’s almost getting to the point where we may have to start betting on whether or not the events will go ahead, instead of betting on who will win!
Three title matches have been announced for the upcoming NXT New Year’s Evil themed episode on USA Network.
Bron Breakker will have another shot at the NXT title after Tommaso Ciampa once again challenged the young rookie for the gold. Breakker pinned Ciampa at the WarGames match earlier this month.
The NXT Women’s title will be on the line as Mandy Rose of Toxic Attraction will defend her title against former champion Raquel Gonzalez and another relatively newcomer, Cora Jade, in a triple threat match. All three were involved in the WarGames match and Jade came out with the victory for her team.
And finally, after rumors that the Cruiserweight championship will be retired, there will be a title unification match with NXT North American champion Carmelo Hayes and Cruiserweight champion Roderick Strong battling to combine the belts.
It can seem next to impossible to get your kid out of the house these days. Between video games, streaming services, and mobile devices, kids are never more than 10 feet away from something that would rather keep them at home. Getting out of the house is good for their health, though — it gives them the chance to play sports and learn valuable life lessons. Here are some tips to make that happen.
Emphasize That It’s Fun
It seems like simple logic, but it’s worth repeating: Kids won’t play sports if they don’t enjoy it. It has to be fun. If it’s not fun, they’ll spend their time doing something else.
And if they do play Kids Sports, they’re likely to play only the game that’s most enjoyable to them. So, make sure that whatever sport you’re playing, it’s fun for kids. Even if you don’t particularly enjoy it, they might.
Get Them Started Young
You know you’re supposed to start them young, but which age is best? Ideally, children should play organized sports at a young age. It’s essential to teach them the fundamentals of the game and make sure they have a good foundation before they take on more complex plays or strategies.
It’s also recommended, though, to start any kids before they’re old enough to train on their own. Then, their parents are in charge of all the instructions, first steps, etc.
Get them involved as soon as possible.
Give Them a Choice
It’s important to let kids — especially young ones — pick what sport they want to play. Sometimes, it can feel like we don’t have a lot of options either, but it’s good that kids feel like they have an active role in the sport they’re playing. If they don’t want to play, they can’t just sit around.
Also, just by forcing them to pick something to do, you’re teaching them the value of hard work and discipline. Giving them a choice gives you the power to choose, but it also helps them make their own decisions.
Have an Open Mind and an Open Heart
Sometimes, our preferences get in the way of letting kids play sports. You might love soccer, but your child may hate it. You might think basketball is boring, but your child thinks it’s the best sport ever. It’s hard sometimes to get behind our kids’ decisions, but sometimes you have to because they’re the ones playing.
Also, remember that pushing your own interests on kids can be harmful. For example, making them play a sport they hate will not do any good, and it will not make them have a better time.
Teach the Importance of Sportsmanship
Sometimes, in sports, you lose. That’s a harsh lesson for kids to learn. You have to teach them that losing is okay and that it’s not the end of the world. It’s essential, though, to teach them good sportsmanship and respect simultaneously.
It’s a good lesson that carries over into everyday life and can help them in their relationships with other people. Teaching kids to lose with grace will make them more likable adults down the line.
Be Friendly and Supportive
Kids often have a hard time being social, but playing sports are a great way to get them out there. Encourage them to make friends with other kids in their league. Be patient and encouraging when they play, and teach them to be welcoming and friendly.
Don’t just talk the talk, though. You have to walk the walk too. So, if your child is playing nicely, encourage that behavior and model it yourself if you can.

It’s going to be a phenomenal NXT tonight as former WWE champion AJ Styles will be making his second appearance ever on the brand and his first since 2019.
The whole thing came about after Grayson Waller posted a video saying that there should be better guests on Miz TV than Styles, even though Styles was his favorite wrestler growing up but now he’s hanging out around a bit too much past his years.
Waller mocked Styles during the video and Styles later replied to the video asking somebody to get “this kid a clue.”
Matches announced for tonight’s show include Pete Dunne vs Tony D’Angelo, The Creed Brothers vs The Grizzled Young Veterans, Dexter Lumis vs Trick Williams, and Raquel Gonzalez vs Dakota Kai in a street fight.
