How does a bong work?

A bong certainly looks as fascinating as it works. Bongs date back thousands of years, with archeological excavations showing that the bongs were used by Iranian-Eurasian tribes about 2,400 years back. They were introduced to China during the late Ming dynasty in the 16th century approximately through Persia and the Silk Road.

With time, bongs underwent many changes with advances in technology and are available in various shapes and sizes today. However, glass pipes are most popular because of durability, easy maintenance, and other factors.

If you come across a bong for sale and decide to purchase it, you must know about its various parts and how it works to get the best experience.

What are the different parts of a bong?

The structure of a bong is more complicated than it seems, and it consists of several parts found in all bongs, regardless of their size and shape. What sets them apart are the chambers that serve the function of filtering and cooling water.

  • Bowl piece

A bowl piece is one of the most vital parts of the bong because that is where you stuff your product after grinding it. Most of them have a hole at the bottom, with most people preferring a smaller one because it stops the product from scattering.

  • Ash catcher

This device catches the ash from the bowl piece when it drops. It is a simple glass attachment that prevents ash from entering your mouth and your bong. Some also have built-in percolators, which filter and cool the smoke thoroughly. Even if you do not clean the bong regularly, it is essential to clean the ash catcher after a few uses to ensure it doesn’t interfere with the tobacco or herb’s flavor.

  • Joint

Joint is referred to as the part of the bong that holds down the stem. Joints are either male or female but suitable for you, depending on what material you smoke. These are usually available in three sizes: 10 millimeters, 14 millimeters, and 18 millimeters.

  • Down stem

The down stem refers to the bridge between the bowl and water placed in the main chamber of the bong. They are available in different styles and serve various functions. However, the most basic of them resembles a glass straw with a hole at the end that causes bubbling. You will also come across more developed stems with in-built percolators to further cool the smoke. When you use a glass bong, it is better to use a plastic clip to keep the stem firmly attached to the bong. You will find the stem and bowl in one piece in some bongs, called slides.

  • Percolator

The job of a percolator is filtering the smoke several times after it passes the water at the stem’s end. Even though there are different percolators, you must pick one based on your requirements. It is better to select ones without too many holes because once the holes are clogged after several uses, it will affect the quality of the smoke.

  • Splash guard

You will find splash guards in bongs with heavy percolation. It is an insert made of quartz which prevents the water from splashing upwards and outside the mouthpiece. They are available in various shapes. Splash guards usually have three spikes of glass whose job is to cool the air before it reaches the top of the bong.

  • Mouthpiece

Although the mouthpiece occupies the last position in this list, it will be the first thing you notice in a bong. It is situated right at the top and is the place from which the smoke enters your lungs. Mouthpieces were exclusively horizontally-shaped until a few years ago but are now angled in a way that prevents you from hunching while taking a drag.

Knowing the parts of a bong will help you the next time you see a bong for sale. It will also help you have a more relaxed, enjoyable, and exciting smoking experience.

Ric Flair calls Becky Lynch just “generic,” Lynch responds in typical fashion

Ric Flair took another shot at Becky Lynch during his podcast this week, calling her just “generic” and criticizing her for calling Ronda Rousey “Ronnie” in her feud.

“She’s not Ronnie. She’s Ronda Rousey. Anybody that’s stupid enough to call her Ronnie and make a joke of her presence and what she brings to the company is out of their mind,” Flair said, mentioning Becky as an example but saying “what is her name now” as a diss.

Flair added, “How about, ‘Thank you, Ronda, for showing up because I’m not The Man anymore. I’m generic. Who am I? Big Time Becks? The Lass Kicker? I don’t know.’”

Ric’s opinion on Lynch made a 180 after she started using The Man, something that WWE owns as a trademark but Flair insists that he still owns it despite selling the trademark a few years ago to the company and the entry of the trademark lists WWE as the owners.

After Ric’s comments, Lynch didn’t hold back and wrote on social media, “Work so hard your heroes become your rivals. Then, become so good, Ric Flair loses his mind every time you breathe.”

Tony Khan admits he had to scramble after “butchering” his definition of Forbidden Door

AEW President Tony Khan admitted that he screwed up his own definition of the Forbidden Door when he sent the tweet last week and had to scramble to secure the services of Jay White.

Khan’s definition of the Forbidden Door is a wrestler who is contracted to another promotion who shows up in AEW as well and his surprise signing, Keith Lee, was a free agent and not tied to WWE or anyone else. That would not have classified Lee as a “forbidden door” arrival.

“I realized after the fact that Friday night I butchered my own definition of Forbidden Door in hyping tonight,” Khan wrote in a tweet. “I heard the fans’ feedback, & wanted to ensure that tonight was a special #AEWDynamite for all. Thank you everyone who watched!”

Last week, Khan claimed that someone is coming in and “slamming the door shut” on his previous employer. The vague wording ended up being nothing however as Lee was a free agent already.

NXT rating for 02/08/2022

It was a rough night for NXT this week as the channel switch and Olympics killed a big portion of the already-small audience. NXT on SyFy pulled in just 400,000 viewers, down 219,000 viewers from the previous week. The show did a 0.07 in the 18-49 demo, down 0.06 as well and finished in #77 on the cable chart for the night. Both numbers were a record low for NXT. (Ratings credit: Showbuzzdaily.com)

Is it better to enter WWE Royal Rumble early or late? Jim Duggan shares his thoughts

The WWE wrestler Hacksaw Jim Duggan, winner of the inaugural Royal Rumble in 1988, explains that it’s all about longevity, and most wrestlers aim straight for the corner.

Hacksaw was placed 13th out of 20 competitors in the ring. After defeating One Man Gang, hacksaw became the first winner of the Royal Rumble, a 450lb, 6flt wrestler. Hacksaw advises rookie wrestlers to be aggressive, strong, and quick based on his experience in the ring.

In an exclusive interview with the Betway Insider, the retired wrestler has some advice for budding wrestlers. “Try to stay away from people. The less time you’re in contact with people, the longer you’re in the ring.”

The WWE Hall of Famer is sharing tips on how to win the Royal Rumble. “The whole thing is about longevity. That’s why when you watch the Royal Rumble, everyone goes straight to the corners. That’s a safe place.”

The Royal Rumble is all about the first place finisher. According to statistics, the majority of the winners entered the ring 30th or higher. Only three wrestlers who started in the first position have won the event thus far.

“Luck of the draw has a lot to do with it as well. It’s always better to come in later. You’re fresher than the guys who’ve been out there longer. For the first five guys, that’s a long time in the ring.”

Hacksaw Jim Duggan went on to describe how this PPV event differs from singles bouts. “Out there, it’s like the Wild West,” he adds.

The Royal Rumble is the most interesting event for wrestling fans because of its immense drama, mayhem, and unpredictability. “You had a unique group of guys back then. I think overall the talent nowadays is much better in terms of athletic ability, but my generation of guys were much more creative, we were much more willing to try something new.”

One of Duggan’s most cherished wrestling achievements is winning the Royal Rumble. “Nobody was more surprised in that whole building than me after I won the thing. I was never world champion, I was never tag team champion, I was never an intercontinental champion, I was lucky to win a match but that was my character.” Duggan recalls of his reaction to his first-ever win.

When asked about his greatest moment in WWE, he considers the 1988 win to be the second-best moment of his career, behind his bout with Andre the Giant.

“Probably number two. The Royal Rumble was obviously the biggest feather [in my cap], but as a kid, I grew up in upstate New York in a small town. I had a loving, supporting family and my dad would bring me to New York City, about 250 miles away, to see the circus at Madison Square Garden. As an adult, you can only imagine the thrill to bring my dad down to New York City, to Madison Square Garden, and see Hacksaw Jim Duggan versus Andre the Giant on the marquee. My dad was my best man at my wedding, the best man I’ve ever met, and that was a thrill that will stay with me to the day I die.”

Duggan admits that a superstar’s stamina will hold up better if they enter the Rumble in the second half of the contest. However, regardless of when you entered or what happened earlier in the day, the adrenaline rush you get when you exit outweighs everything.

The wrestler is not known for putting on attractive displays, but he works hard. Duggan describes himself as a brawler rather than a wrestler.

Duggan has returned to the WWE ring twice since his first victory, in 2009 and 2012. He pitted himself against old foes such as Dusty and even their children.

Duggan was 58 years old when he returned in 2012, when he was beaten by Cody Rhodes. He describes his experience as the oldest wrestler in the ring alongside fighters over 20 years his junior, saying, “Everything about the Royal Rumble in 2012 was harder. I wasn’t in my prime anymore, and I was worried about how I looked physically. It’s a show that millions of people watch, so you have all that anxiety. Multiply that by 10 when they throw you into a pay-per-view and add another five when people know you’re Hacksaw and you won the first one.”

However, none of it matters once you’re in the ring and the adrenaline kicks in.

“Stepping through that curtain, that place was hoo-ing and yo-ing and USA-ing and I could have taken on Andre the Giant again man, I was 10ft tall when I hit that ring,” adds Hacksaw.

The wrestler, who is now 68 years old, is undergoing cancer treatment for the second time. Duggan’s health has put an end any thoughts of his return. However, the Royal Rumble’s ultimate champion, Hacksaw Jim, offers some advice to budding wrestlers and current year participants.

“In a Royal Rumble, anything goes. Anybody has a chance at the Royal Rumble, anybody can win it, and it can change people’s careers like it changed mine. Go in there, stand up, and be counted. Go for it, never give up, never surrender.”

Keith Lee arrives in All Elite Wrestling

Former NXT champion Keith Lee made his AEW debut on Dynamite and was the surprise opponent of Isiah Kassidy in the Face of the Revolution ladder match qualifier.

As soon as “limitless” appeared on the big screen, the New Jersey crowd gave Lee a huge pop and chanted to bask in his glory. Lee absolutely destroyed Kassidy in his match and was booked to look like an absolute monster.

After the match was over, Tony Khan tweeted, “It’s official!!! @RealKeithLee is ALL ELITE!!!”

Lee was released from WWE just over 3 months ago and was free to appear on the show after his 90-day no-compete clause ended. He is the latest former NXT talent who signed with All Elite Wrestling.

The Texas native married Mia Yim this past weekend.

NJPW’s Jay White makes surprise appearance on Dynamite

NJPW’s “Switchblade” Jay White walked through Tony Khan’s forbidden door and made a surprise appearance on Dynamite.

White showed up in a backstage segment as the trio of The Young Bucks and Adam Cole beat up Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta. The leader of the Bullet Club walked into the frame and threw Trent into the production truck before acknowledging the former BC members.

The 29-year-old from New Zealand is under contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling and also appears on Impact Wrestling. He participated in the last television tapings for Impact last month.

Texas death match for AEW World title headlines Dynamite from Atlantic City

Tonight’s Dynamite will take place from the site of WrestleMania IV and V at the Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. While both Manias were marketed as taking place from Trump Plaza, they actually were held at the Boardwalk Hall adjacent to Trump’s property.

The broadcast will be headlined by an AEW World title match featuring Adam Page taking on Lance Archer in a Texas death match. Isiah Kassidy faces a mystery opponent who will enter the forbidden door in a Face of the Revolution ladder match qualifier plus two segments are being promoted, including an Inner Circle team meeting and an MJF interview following his win against CM Punk last week in Chicago.

Apart from the free agent making his way in, there’s also a huge announcement by Tony Khan expected which is not related to that debut.

Who’s walking through the “forbidden door” tonight on Dynamite?

AEW fans are looking forward to see who will be entering through the forbidden door tonight on Dynamite as rumors have been flying high over the past few days on who Tony Khan is referring to.

The most popular among fans picks seem to be Keith Lee and Jeff Hardy. AEW President Tony Khan claimed that whoever is on his way will be “slamming the door shut,” indicating that he won’t be going back to his previous employer and hinting at severing ties completely.

Jeff Hardy would certainly fit that bill as he was recently released, his drug test came back negative, and refused the Hall of Fame invitation. But Hardy is still on the 90-day no-compete clause and has around another month on it. Would Jeff risk the legal battle and appear tonight? Or did Tony Khan buy out the rest of his deal?

Keith Lee, who just got married last weekend, is legally able to appear on the show as his 90 days are up and done. And so are the likes of former NXT champions Karrion Kross and Samoa Joe. Two other men being mentioned are Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman, both of whom would not be able to compete under those names since they’re owned by WWE.

The way the angle is being done, involving Matt Hardy, a qualifier for a ladder match, Matt hinting at his brother returning, and slamming the forbidden door shut are all indications that point to Jeff Hardy but obviously that could be just a tactic to deviate from another name which is not being talked about much.

AEW did something similar when the leader of The Dark Order was introduced and all hints pointed towards Matt Hardy. That ended up being the unveiling of the late Brodie Lee.

And of course, it’s a long shot, a real long shot, but who can forget about Shane McMahon? No, it’s not going to happen, but Shane O’Mac was just released from his WWE duties and legally he can show up wherever he wants to. That is not stopping fans from theorizing – and fantasizing – about Shane showing up tonight in New Jersey!

How to find the best WWE betting sportsbook and win big in February 2022?

If you’re a fan of professional wrestling, you’ve probably heard about how to bet on wrestling matches.

Many people are interested in this subject because they think it’s the best way to make money online. However, the truth is, not everyone is good at it.

In this post, we’ll look at how to find the best sportsbooks to place bets on professional wrestling.

Are you looking to bet on sports? If you’re new to betting, you might not know how to get started. This guide will walk you through the basics, including finding the best place to bet, making deposits, and more.

Finding a place to bet is just the first step in becoming a successful sports bettor.

The next thing you need to do is set up an account, deposit money, and then get started.

Once you’re ready to start placing bets, plenty of options are available. If you’re just getting started, this guide will walk you through the process.

Understand the Game: Why Bets on Wrestling?

If you’re a sports fan, you’ve probably already heard about the “biggest stage” in sports: the WWE. You might even be familiar with some of the stars in the “wrestling industry” like John Cena, The Rock, and the rest of the boys of Monday Night Raw. “If you’re going to compete in the sports industry, you’ve got to understand the game,” says Gildersleeve. There’s no way you can win if you don’t understand the game’s dynamics and how to work the crowd. There are a lot of different elements that go into making a successful wrestling match, and you can’t just look at it from a strictly technical standpoint.

A lot of people think about wrestling when they think about sports betting. They envision some big guy wearing headgear and a pair of shiny boots. But, like most forms of gambling, the game of professional wrestling is more nuanced than that. Sure, there’s the action and the showmanship. But, the sport itself is about psychology. It’s about what you can’t see—and how the mind reacts to what you can’t see. The best professional wrestlers are masters of the “unseen.” And they’ve done their homework on the way the human mind works. They know which moves work and how to get their opponent to follow their lead.

A wrestling bet is different from all other bets because a wrestler will actually risk their body and sometimes even life to win. To make a successful bet, you need to understand the game and the rules. Before placing your bet, you need to decide whether it is legal and worth the risk. The sport has an extensive set of rules, and there are consequences for breaking them. You also need to know how the wrestling match will be decided: by points, a fall, or on the ground. You should research your opponent’s history to understand their strengths and weaknesses. The last thing you want is to put your money down on an opponent who is better than expected, only to lose because you had no idea what to expect.

Compare Different Websites That Offers WWE Betting:

If you’re looking to place a bet on the WWE, you’re probably wondering which websites are the best for betting. You’ve probably heard about sports betting sites like BetOnline, MyBookie, and Betfair. However, if you want to bet on wrestling, you’re going to have to do some digging. You’ll find that there are many different types of sportsbooks, and they’re all offering different kinds of services. You can also visit various sportsbook review sites to get an insight into the types of games that each betting websites provide. I use sitesdeapostas.live, to compare different betting websites available in the marketplace.

Create a Winning Strategy:

When you place a bet on a wrestling match, you have to be prepared to make a lot of moves. The best professional wrestlers have an arsenal of activities that they can use to manipulate their opponent. If you’re betting on a wrestling match, you need to decide which moves are most effective and which ones will be most risky. There’s no reason to place a bet on a game if you’re going to lose, and it’s a matter of doing your research and making the best possible decision.

Placing a bet on a wrestling match is all about making a smart decision, and it’s about having a strategy tailored to your needs and your goals. You probably don’t want to wager much if you’re a casual fan.

Apply Tips for Success.

There are a lot of different factors that go into making a successful wrestling bet. There are psychological elements that you need to consider, and you also need to understand the game and the rules. If you want to be a successful bettor, you need to learn how to apply these different aspects to your betting strategies.

To be a successful professional wrestler, you need to be a master of the “unseen.” You need to know which moves work and get your opponent to follow your lead. If you’re going to bet on wrestling, you need to understand what drives work best, and you need to know how to get your opponent to follow your lead. The best professional wrestlers are masters of the “unseen.” You need to know how to read your opponent and what moves they’re most likely to use.

Conclusion:

Wrestling is a unique sport, and it combines the physical and mental aspects of sports with a strategy game. There are a lot of different factors that you need to consider before placing a bet. If you want to be a successful bettor, you need to apply the various aspects of the sport to your betting strategies.

To make the best possible decision, you need to know the different factors that will impact your wrestling bet. It’s not enough to know the basic moves a wrestler can use in the ring, and you need to know how to apply these moves to your betting strategies. You need to know what types of moves work best and what moves are most likely to be used by the wrestlers. If you’re going to bet on wrestling, you need to have a plan.

NXT UK star Candy Floss leaves, thanks WWE for supporting her

NXT UK wrestler Candy Floss announced on social media that she has departed the promotion after her contract expired and it was not renewed.

The 22-year-old Londoner, whose real name is Amy Samrdzija, explained that in May 2019 she lost her mother to cancer and eight months later she was officially signed to NXT UK. But her dream move didn’t pan out as she expected after she was diagnosed with severe PTSD and anxiety because of the trauma she experienced witnessing her mother fight for her life.

She has not wrestled since August 2019 after she decided to put her mental health first. She did not wrestle again for NXT UK after she was signed to a deal.

“In December 2021 my contract with WWE expired. It is very sad for me as I wish my journey with WWE didn’t have to end like this as I’ve worked so hard to get signed. I just want to say thank you to WWE for dealing with me so well as I know it’s not an easy situation, I’m very grateful for it all,” she said.

Samrdzija said that her dream is not over and hopes that she will be back in the ring one day and acknowledged that she had to endure her biggest fight to date, mental health, but is now doing better.

Men’s 2022 Dusty Tag Team Classic finals set

The 2022 men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic finals have been set and will take place next week on the Vengeance Day themed episode of NXT on SyFy.

The Creed Brothers and last year’s winners MSK won their respective semi final matches on the show last night to advance to the final.

The Diamond Mine members went through Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs in the quarter final and then yesterday beat the Grizzled Young Veterans in the semi final while MSK beat Jacket Time in the quarters and Malik Blade and Edris Enofe in the semis.

The winner of the tournament will receive an NXT Tag Team title shot in the future, with the titles currently held by Imperium.

The women’s Dusty Tag Team Classic is also set to start soon.

Tony Khan hypes tonight’s “huge signing” and “big reveal” on Dynamite

In comments given to Sports Illustrated, AEW President Tony Khan said that tonight’s mystery arrival who will enter the proverbial forbidden door is a “huge signing” for AEW.

“I have created some debate about what it means to open the ‘Forbidden Door,’ and that’s what we are going to do on this show,” Khan said. “The fans are going to get a great night of wrestling, and I hope everyone is surprised and comes back for the matches this sets up.”

Whomever is arriving tonight will also set up this week’s Rampage, whatever that may mean.

“It’s going to be a big reveal on Dynamite. It sets up this week’s Rampage and puts a lot of irons in our fire. We have created an environment in AEW where people routinely expect great wrestling matches, and we have the wrestlers to live up to those high expectations,” Khan continued.

He said that he is continually looking to improve the AEW roster by bringing in new stars and create fresh matches, something that he often criticized WWE for repeating the same matches over and over again.

“We now have such a strong roster of wrestlers under contract that we can put fresh, exciting matches on Dynamite every Wednesday on TBS and Rampage on TNT,” Khan said.

Dolph Ziggler crashes the NXT Championship Summit

One half of the Dirty Dawgs, Dolph Ziggler, made a surprise appearance on NXT last night, crashing the NXT Championship Summit between Bron Breakker and Santos Escobar.

Ziggler’s appearance on NXT came after he said he doesn’t work on Tuesdays during a backstage segment with Robert Roode and LA Knight a few weeks earlier and when Ziggler was eliminated from the Rumble, Breakker quipped that apparently Dolph doesn’t work on Saturdays either.

The former World Heavyweight champion then said during a backstage interview that he might go for Breakker’s NXT title and last night Ziggler crashed the party.

But Ziggler had another opponent who came to confront him, none other than former NXT champion himself Tommaso Ciampa. Ciampa and Ziggler brawled, leaving the ring for Breakker and Escobar, who also did the same.

Baccarat – history, rules, and strategies of this casino game

When James Bond sits in the casino, he usually plays baccarat (except in Casino Royal, where it was poker, of course). In the noble-looking game, knowledge of French helps and those who want to play it in local casinos should know a few fixed rituals. But there are also quite simple variants, which are played in online casinos as a machine or in the live casino. To explore it, look at the live Baccarat – play this game with real dealers. Anyway, to win you will need knowledge about some useful gambling strategies.

THE HISTORY OF BACCARAT

Baccara, however, is said to have originated in a Neapolitan dialect and to mean “zero” – this is the meaning of the word, at least in the otherwise more French-influenced game. There are different statements about the age of the game. Some suspect it to have originated as early as the 16th century, while others see its emergence much later in the 19th century.

RULES OF BACCARAT

Baccarat belongs with games like “Blackjack” or “17 and 4”, “Macao” or “Red Dog” to the simpler card games. There are only a few rules in the basic game and the gambling and betting character is in the foreground. Skill and ability play practically no role in the most widespread variant of baccarat, “Punto Banco”.

The card values are added together in each case. If a so-called hand, i.e., the point value of the player’s or banker’s two cards, exceeds the total of nine, the ones digit counts. So, a seven and a four added together would be eleven, which means the hand counts as one. If two cards add up to ten, such as a six and a four, the hand counts as a zero. This would be a “baccarat”, the lowest possible score.

In the real-money version of “Punto Banco”, which is widely used in online casinos as a live and slot version, there are fixed rules as to when a third card is drawn.

If the player or the banker reaches the point value eight or nine with the first two cards already dealt anyway, the player wins – unless both have the same card value, in which case it’s a draw. This is called a “Natural 8” or “Natural 9”. The Natural 9 is, of course, worth more than the Natural 8. If you want to put it more delicately, you speak of “La Petite” (the eight) or “La Grande” (the nine), as in the original version of the game.

The player must make a third card draw if he only has a score of zero to five in his hand. These are all the rules for the “Punto Banco” variant. The older variants differ in particular in the rules for when a third card is drawn by the player or the banker.

WHAT BETTING STRATEGIES HELP WHEN PLAYING BACCARAT?

Well, a statistician would say “probably none”. However, he would make the same statement for pretty much all other types of gambling. Because the luck or the coincidence determines accordingly in completely predominant measure the exit of the play.

Well, of course you can use betting strategies such as the Martingale strategy or the Fibonacci strategy (we have discussed these in detail here in the context of roulette strategies) or you can bet on the other side each time in turn. The more games you make, the more your losses and profits will balance each other out – if you handle your bets sensibly. Therefore, the most important strategy in this game of chance is to limit your losses.

Anyway, remember, thar the most important thing is to play relaxed and responsibly.

Raw rating for 02/07/2022

With a move to a different channel and facing the Olympics, Monday Night Raw drew its lowest ever audience in its 29-year history. This week’s Raw drew an average of 1,387,000 viewers on SyFy, down 478,000 viewers from last week’s show.

The first hour started with 1,376,000 viewers, then increased to 1,449,000 viewers in the second hour, and dropped again to 1,337,000 viewers in the third and final hour.

All three hours drew a 0.36 rating in the 18-49 demo and Raw was #3, #4, and #5 in the cable chart. The Winter Olympics coverage on USA which bumped Raw was #1 on cable. (Ratings credit: Showbuzzdaily.com)

Commercial-free NXT Women’s title match headlines NXT on SyFy tonight

Just like Monday Night Raw yesterday, NXT tonight will be on SyFy and will be headlined by a commercial-free main event.

The NXT Women’s title will be on the line as the former NXT UK Women’s champion Kay Lee Ray takes on the champion Mandy Rose in the main event.

Other matches announced include LA Knight vs Sanga, Sarray vs Dakota Kai, and Tiffany Stratton vs Wendy Choo. Plus Bron Breakker and Santos Escobar will be in a Championship Summit ahead of their title match at Vengeance Day.

Ronda Rousey talks taking WWE fans’ reaction personally

A few days ago, Dave Meltzer of the Observer noted that WWE officials had to pull Ronda Rousey aside and had a talk with her over the delivery of her promo from last week’s Monday Night Raw, her first one since her return.

Rousey, who apparently took note of the criticism and had a better delivery on Friday Night Smackdown, discussed being somewhat disconnected from WWE fans after they turned on her during her first run with the company.

During a live stream on Facebook when she was playing a video game, Rousey said it was hard for her not take it personally from the fans.

“I don’t go out there as I mean, I do go out there as a character. But I am also actually Ronda Rousey and I don’t play Ronda Rousey on television so sometimes I take it personally from the fans,” Ronda said when answering a question from a fan.

Rousey came with a lot of fanfare three years ago and was highly praised for her debut match with Kurt Angle against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at WrestleMania. But fans did not take long to turn on the former UFC Women’s Bantamweight champion and Rousey was mainly seen as a heel during the rest of her first stint even though she was supposed to be the opposite.

Rampage rating for 02/04/2022

Friday’s Rampage drew 540,000 viewers, down 61,000 viewers from the previous week as the show also felt the wrath of the Olympics coverage. Rampage was #7 on the top 50 cable chart for the night with a 0.20 rating in the 18-49 demo, down 0.05 from the prior week. (Ratings credit: Showbuzzdaily.com)

UFC 271 odds, betting tips & predictions

Live at the Toyota Center in Texas, Israel Adesanya will go against Robert Whittacker to defend his belt for the second time. The middleweight rematch will headline UFC 271 on 12th February 2022, with other matches for the day including Derrick Lewis vs Tai Tuivasa and Derek Brunson vs. Jared Cannonier. Here are the latest odds, betting tips, and early predictions of UFC 271 fights.

Adesanya (-250) vs. Whittaker (+210)

Pick: Fight goes to decision and Whittacker wins

Online sports bookies like Betway are giving Israel Adesanya the clear advantage over his opponent Robert Whittaker for this upcoming match. The style-bender (Adesanya) has been a sublime middleweight fighter, with his slight adventure to the light heavyweight fight creating the only blemish to his nearly perfect MMA record.

Adesanya goes into this title defense but with a 10-0 middleweight record, after eliminating elite 185-pounders like Paulo Costa, Martin Vettori, Yoel Romelo, Derek Brunson, Kelvin Gastelum, and Anderson Silva. However, Whittacker is poised to prove that he’s UFC’s second-best middleweight champion, standing behind the renowned “Spider” Silva.

Whittaker was brutally knocked out by Adesanya in the first fight in front of his Australian fans and he’ll be looking to reclaim his soul against the man who stripped it. Adesanya will be looking for the chance to cement his position as the greatest middleweight fighter of this generation, but he has takedown defense to worry about as exposed by Jan Blachowicz.

All things considered, punters betting on the fight with the Betway app should consider backing Whittacker as the underdog. If Whittacker can land three takedowns, the fight will probably go to a decision and he gets the nod.

Derrick Lewis (-196) vs Tai Tuivasa (+164)

Pick: Tai Tuivasa ML +164

Heading into the fight after his win against Chris Dakaus despite being the pre-match underdog, Derrick Lewis will turn to his hometown (Houston) to fight Tuivasa. Tuivasa is the sizable underdog for this heavyweight fight, which is a little surprising.

Lewis’ victory against Dukaus marked a solid comeback performance for the 36-year-old, who was defeated by Ciryl Gane in the round of UFC 265 through a technical knockout in the previous fight. Lewis has a 26-8 record, with knockout victories against notable fighters like Curtis Blaydes and Alexey Oleynik.

On the other side, Tuivasa is a rising star with a 13-3 career record that includes 12 fights by knockout. His most recent win was against Augusto Sakai in December at UFC 269 and he also won a fight at UFC 264 where he beat former NFL player Greg Hardy. The 28-year-old has a 93% finish rate (Lewis has 85%), which puts him in a great position to win the fight.

Derek Brunson (+142) vs Jared Cannonier (-175)

Pick: Cannonier -175

Jared Cannonier will go against Derek Brunson in what’s probably the best co-main event of the night. Cannonier was a light heavyweight fighter, but he has been quite impressive since joining the middleweight division. In the middleweight division, Cannonier has won four times in his last five fights, including notable victories over Anderson Silva, Jack Hermansson, and Kelvin Gastelum.

Brunson has been a great cash cow for punters as a sizeable underdog to Darren Till and Kevin Holland. The 38-year-old fighter is known for actively chasing takedowns, but only managed to land them while going against fighters with poor takedown defense. As such, Brunson will have a tough time succeeding against Cannonier in this fight.
