Here are the results from last night’s Hell In A Cell premium live event which took place from the sold out Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.
Bianca Belair defeated Asuka and Becky Lynch in a triple threat match to retain the Raw Women’s title; Bobby Lashley defeated Omos and MVP in a two-on-one handicap match; Kevin Owens defeated Ezekiel; Judgment Day defeated AJ Styles, Finn Balor, and Liv Morgan in a six-person mixed tag team match; Madcap Moss defeated Happy Corbin in a no holds barred match; Theory defeated Mustafa Ali to retain the United States title; Cody Rhodes defeated Seth Rollins in a Hell In A Cell match.
Hey everybody! It’s @TheMagnumDA with another installment of the PPV Pick’em report. This time, Colin and I will step into HELL and one of us will walk out with the WOPC Championship. Who will it be? Let’s find out.
ON WITH THE PICKS!!
2-on-1 Handicap Match
Omos and MVP vs. Bobby Lashley
Magnum: I wanted to originally pick Lashley in this match, but where would they go with Omos after this? His back is to the wall, and he can’t lose again…can he? I’m taking Omos and MVP in this one.
Colin: While adding MVP with Omos makes sense…I still don’t want to see him on TV for now! Lashley should be moving away from this and onto something better. Hopefully this will be the one that ends it. Lashley wins.
Ezekiel vs. Kevin Owens
Magnum: I really have to hand it to KO…somehow, he took a ridiculous storyline and he’s kept everyone entertained every step of the way. The inclusion of Otis and Gable made this even better. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Alpha’s try to help KO win…ultimately, I’m going to take Ezekiel here, for the same reasons as Omos…if he loses, all momentum would be lost.
Colin: Looking forward to this actually. Elias…err, Ezekiel has been great and Owens is fantastic in this role. This will probably continue beyond tonight and I’m expecting Ezekiel to pick up the win, although the end result in the future has to be Kevin Owens being proven right.
United States Championship Match
Theory (c) vs. Mustafa Ali
Magnum: This has been an embarrassingly bad storyline. The side players involved in this (Miz, Ciampa) haven’t helped in any way, shape, or form, and frankly it’s been a terrible use of Ciampa’s call-up to the main roster. Why isn’t that dude in Judgment Day yet? Anyways, Theory retains.
Colin: Were you surprised as much as I was when Ali returned? Didn’t think he would return to be honest. Theory as champion has been okay and I don’t expect him to lose the title this quick so Theory wins.
Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match
Finn Balor, AJ Styles, and Liv Morgan vs. The Judgment Day (Edge, Damian Priest, and Rhea Ripley)
Magnum: Judgment Day is going to need to keep the momentum going with a win here. The question becomes…is there anyone on the babyface team that will turn? Could more than one person turn? If Balor AND Liv joined and they all destroyed AJ, that would be incredible. Or maybe this is the moment for Ciampa to join? Either way, I like Judgment Day’s chances of winning and gaining a new member tonight.
Colin: Undecided on this one as it can go two ways in my mind – the faces win, or a new member joins Judgment Day and causes the faces to lose. With Edge continuing to tease that a new member will be added, I am leaning more towards that scenario but the trio of Balor/Styles/Morgan need a win eventually one of these days. But for today, I’m picking Judgment Day.
Triple Threat Match – WWE Raw Women’s Championship
Bianca Belair (c) vs. Asuka vs. Becky Lynch
Magnum: I am happy that Asuka is back, and she’s been a pretty entertaining foil for Big Time Becks. As for tonight, I wouldn’t be surprised if Asuka costs Becky the match somehow…in the end, I’m thinking that Bianca is going to retain tonight.
Colin: So instead of Belair vs Naomi, we get this. Not complaining, to be honest. Belair and Becky have a great chemistry together and Asuka is great so this match should be a good one. But there’s no way that Bianca is losing this one. Noooo waaaay! Bianca wins.
Hell in a Cell
Cody Rhodes vs. Seth “Freakin” Rollins
Magnum: I keep going back to the big M word (momentum). All momentum for Cody would be lost if he didn’t get the win here. I know that he’s going into tonight’s match with a torn pectoral muscle, so depending on the severity of the injury, we’ll have to see what happens. If Cody’s alright, I bet this will be the best and wildest match of the trilogy. As long as he’s healthy, Cody’s onto bigger and better things, like the Money in the Bank briefcase. If all goes to plan, Cody’s journey towards the WWE Undisputed Championship starts tonight – Cody gets the win in a match we’ll remember for some time.
Colin: This must be the end of the feud, right? I mean, what else can they do after this? It’s been enjoyable, but now Cody has to move on and go for the title while still hot. You’d probably think Rollins won’t lose three in a row, right? But that’s what I am predicting. Giving Cody a loss will hurt him right now, and he’s been booked perfectly so far. Let him keep winning and present him as a major contender for the title. Cody wins.
Alright everybody! That’s going to do it for the Pick’em Crew! We hope you enjoy the show tonight, and we’ll see you next time on the PPV Pick’em report – @TheMagnumDA signing off.
Cody Rhodes is injured and is working tonight’s Hell In A Cell match with a possible torn pec according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer.
The injury was sustained during a weightlifting exercise and was not an in-ring injury. Rhodes was scheduled to wrestle Seth Rollins last night at a non-televised live event but he was replaced by Drew McIntyre. After the match was over, Rhodes did appear in front of the live crowd to chase Rollins.
Rhodes hyped his HIAC match for tonight in a tweet earlier today so it looks like the match is still a go, unless WWE’s doctor pulls him.
A torn pec injury is very painful and while a low grade tear takes up to six weeks to heal, a higher grade tear can take up to four months. Surgery is often required to fix a torn pec.
WWE is back on Peacock and WWE Network tonight with the 2022 Hell In A Cell premium live event from the Allstate Arena. Seven matches, all from the Raw brand, are set for tonight’s show and unlike previous years, there’s only one Hell In A Cell match.
Today we will take a look at the updated betting odds for the full card. Remember, odds might change by the time the show goes on air so be careful when placing bets with real money and checkout Mostbet withdrawal for more information
In the main event of the night, Cody Rhodes takes on Seth Rollins for the third consecutive time and this time it is inside Hell In A Cell. Rhodes, already 2-0 up, is favorite with 2/13 odds while Rollins is 7/2 to get one back in this feud.
The Raw Women’s title is up for grabs in a triple threat match as Bianca Belair defends against Asuka and Becky Lynch. The champion is 1/5 and clear favorite to retain the gold tonight with the Empress of Tomorrow at 15/4 and The Man at 13/2 to recapture the title.
The United States title is the second, and last, title on the line today as Mr. McMahon’s favorite, Theory, defends against Chicago’s own Mustafa Ali. Unfortunately for Ali it does not seem like this will be a good homecoming as Theory is 1/8 favorite to retain while Ali is far off with 4/1 odds.
A two-on-one handicap match will see Omos and MVP team up to take on Bobby Lashley. The duo are favorites with odds of 8/13 while the former two-time WWE champion is 23/20 to win.
Kevin Owens continues to try and convince everyone that Ezekiel is indeed Elias, and tonight he will have a chance to at least beat Ezekiel in the ring. But Ezekiel is currently the favorite, with odds of 2/7 while Owens is 9/4.
Madcap Moss will try and get revenge on Baron Corbin for his actions of the last few weeks and Moss is 1/4 favorite to come out on top in this encounter while Corbin has to be happy with the 5/2 odds.
And last but certainly not least, The Judgment Day takes on Styles, Balor, and Morgan in a six-person mixed tag team match. It’s Edge, Damain Priest, and Rhea Ripley who are favorites again tonight, with the heels having a 2/13 odds while the faces have 7/2 odds.
The Great American Bash is returning as an NXT special on Tuesday, July 5 as part of the Independence Day celebrations.
The popular WCW pay-per-view was brought back to life in 2004 by WWE as the July pay-per-view but those stopped in 2009. A one-off Smackdown in 2012 was themed as The Great American Bash but then in 2020, WWE brought back the name for NXT.
The 2020 Great American Bash was a two-event affair headlined by NXT Champion Adam Cole vs North American Champion Keith Lee in a Winner Takes All match. Last year it was also Adam Cole vs Kyle O’Reilly in the main event.
This will be the first NXT Great American Bash in front of fans as both the previous one were in empty arenas.
Live tonight from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, WWE presents Hell In A Cell 2022 on Peacock and WWE Network. The full card is as follows:
Cody Rhodes vs Seth Rollins in a Hell In A Cell match; Bianca Belair vs Becky Lynch vs Asuka in a triple threat match for the Raw Women’s title; Theory vs Mustafa Ali for the United States title; The Judgment Day vs AJ Styles, Finn Balor, and Liv Morgan in a six-person mixed tag team match; Bobby Lashley vs Omos and MVP in a two-on-one handicap match; Kevin Owens vs Ezekiel; and Madcap Moss vs Happy Corbin.
A HIAC edition of The Bump will kick off at 3PM ET as Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair and Kevin Owens join as special guests. Kayla Braxton, Matt Camp and Ryan Pappolla host the show, airing live on WWE Network, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram Live and Twitch.
The Hell in A Cell Kickoff show beings at 7PM ET on WWE Network and all of WWE social platforms.
WWE is close to selling out Money In The Bank at the MGM Grand Garden Arena with wrestling ticket tracking service WrestleTix reporting that the show is just over 200 tickets away from a legit sellout.
The MGM Grand Garden Arena is set up to hold 12,088 fans and WWE moved a total of 11,850 tickets up until today, with 238 tickets remaining.
WrestleTix says that the two-day pre-sale had over 9,000 tickets sold and the general public sale on Friday moved the rest.
WWE originally sold over 17,000 tickets for the show at the Allegiant Stadium but the show was moved anyway as it wasn’t enough for a stadium show. Dave Meltzer of the Observer also adds an interesting statistic, noting that only 56% of the people who had tickets to the Allegiant Stadium MITB show bought tickets for the show at MGM.
If MITB sells out, it would be the third premium live event in a row since WrestleMania to legitimately sell out following Backlash and Hell In A Cell.
Here are the results from last night’s NXT In Your House which took place live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
Tony D’Angelo, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, and Troy “Two Dimes” Donovan defeated Legado del Fantasma and now Legado del Fantasma have to join the opposing stable; Toxic Attraction defeated Kayden Carter and Katana Chance to retain the NXT Women’s Tag Team titles; Carmelo Hayes defeated Cameron Grimes to become the new NXT North American champion; Mandy Rose defeated Wendy Choo to retain the NXT Women’s title; The Creed Brothers defeated Pretty Deadly to become the new NXT Tag team champions; Bron Breakker defeated Joe Gacy to retain the NXT title.
Hell In A Cell is just around the corner and it feels like this is a Raw brand only premium live event because there’s only six matches from the red side of WWE.
Interestingly enough, Smackdown was left behind for this show and only one Hell In A Cell match has been advertised, with the women also missing out on the match.
Today we will take a look at the betting odds for the top three matches of the card, brought to you by https://searchinitiative.net/ and then tomorrow we’ll take a look at the full card.
In the main event of the show, Cody Rhodes takes on Seth Rollins in their third match but this time inside the cell structure. Rhodes is currently set for a 3-0 clean sweep on Rollins, with Cody having odds of 4/11 and favorite while Seth is at 2/1 for the victory.
The Raw Women’s title will be defended in a triple threat match with Bianca Belair taking on Becky Lynch and Asuka. The champ is the favorite with 1/4 odds while Lynch is 5/2 and Asuka 5/1 for the upset.
Will we see a new member of Judgment Day debut? Edge has certainly been hinting at it. In the six-person mixed tag match, Judgment Day are favorites with 2/7 odds while their opponents, AJ Styles, Finn Balor, and Liv Morgan are 5/2 to win.
Lacey Evans, who made her return on Smackdown in video vignettes and then moved to Monday Night Raw where she was supposed to make her in-ring return, is now back on the Smackdown roster.
Evans was scheduled for Raw this past Monday in her first match since her pregnancy but she was absent from the show, with rumors saying that she was being moved back to the blue brand.
The news was confirmed last night on Smackdown and Evans will now make her in-ring return next week…unless there’s another change of plans!
While she was reintroduced as a face in the vignettes, highlighting her struggles, she’s actually still a heel.
Her last match came on February 15, 2021, when she teamed up with Peyton Royce to take on Asuka and Charlotte Flair.
AEW today confirmed via a press release that the interim AEW World title will be decided in a match between an AEW star and an NJPW star at Forbidden Door.
On June 12 at the NJPW Dominion show from Osaka, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Hirooki Goto will face off in an eliminator match, with the winner of this match advancing to Forbidden Door to take on whoever comes out on top this Wednesday on Dynamite.
The company yesterday announced that a battle royal will determine who will face Jon Moxley in the eliminator match in the main event of the show on Wednesday night.
An AEW World title unification match will then take place once CM Punk is medically cleared to compete.
This week’s episode of Impact Wrestling drew 116,000 viewers, down 9,000 viewers from last week’s show. The show did a 0.03 rating in the 18-49 demo, down 0.01 from the previous show and it placed #120 in the top 150 chart. (Ratings credit: Showbuzzdaily.com)
Live tonight from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, WWE presents NXT In Your House exclusively on Peacock and WWE Network. The full card is as follows:

The second we were reminded AEW had another PPV in a month, in Chicago, knew I’d screwed up the main event prediction. On the subject, really enjoyed that match. Yes, there were a couple botches but it was intense and gripping and kept you guessing. The only match to rival the phenomenal 6-man: that Fenix spot when he kicked out the leg to make Brody powerbomb Malakai, lost my mind. Overall, a pretty good show that was too long and sagged in the middle.
On MJF’s promo: very good but his Origin Story re: meeting Punk was better.
Last but not least, MIROOOO’s back!!!! He’s not just God’s favorite.
And now…
It’s Saturday morning, and you know what that means… it’s time for our Rampage Review!
Young Bucks vs Lucha Bros
Backstory: Feuded on & off over the years, incl. last summer’s caged classic
Much like when the Bucks faced FTR for the second time, this feels like it deserved more buildup. That said, hard to complain about watching these teams go at it once again.
Adam Cole joined on comms. Huge ‘AE-Dub’ chants, fired-up crowd. ‘Zero Miedo’/’Elite’ battle.
Off to a blazing start: Fear Factor attempts and counters, Penta went for the armbreaker but Matt snuck out, Penta kipped up, standoff. Crowd loving this one.
Double tags led to a light-speed interchange between Rey and Nick, both avoiding kicks before striking at the same time only for both to immediately kip back up. ‘AE-Dub!’…
Dives to the outside followed, a huge tope con hiro by Penta, Fenix following with a spectacular tornillo. ‘Holy s***’. Leading to Nick firing back, striking with a punt from the apron to Fenix and a hurracanrana onto Penta on the floor. If you like selling, this ain’t for you. If you look away, you miss something. Literally.
Back inside, Matt got the knees up, countering a Fenix splash as the ads arrived. Upon our return, the Hardys & Jurassic Express were out to watch.
Returning the same way we left, Fenix was countered and caught on a splash, leading to locomotion northern lights by matt, culminating with a double as Penta got involved. Tagging in, Nick entered in style, hitting a senton atomico for 2. Things turned when Fenix countered – in mid-air – a backdrop into a hurracanrana, the Bros exploding with a diving footstomp into a DDT for another close call, Rey then striking with the only through-the-ropes dive which rivals Darby Allin’s, following it up with a frog splash back inside after paying tribute to Mr Guerrero.
‘This is awesome!’…
A springboard dropkick from Nick with P on Fenix shoulders led to a gnarly landing for the Bros, a diving elbow from Matt bringing another extremely close 2. After Nick & Rey exchanged forearms, Fenix was whipped into the ropes but rebounded with his swing-through backheel kick.
Then came the most incredible spot of the match – can probably safely say the night too even at this juncture – Fenix hitting a splash – with Penta stood on the middle rope – off his brother’s shoulders from the top, Penta then launching into a destroyer. The crowd thought it was done here.
A superkick party then broke out on both Bros, Fenix narrowly avoiding the BTE Trigger, only to be caught attempting a springboard splash, and planted with the Meltzer Driver. Another close one which the crowd totally bought. Finally playing dirty to win, the Bucks interrupted a ‘Zero Miedo’, stealing Penta’s mask, leading to the BTE Trigger and the 1,2,3. Kinda creative, but this did make Penta look a bit of a dick.
Honestly, this one was so fast that I could either take notes or take it in. Crowd loved it: mesmerizing, creative as hell but probably gonna have to re-watch it to fully appreciate it.
WINNER: Young Bucks
Hobbs & Starks vs the ‘Opponents’ (as Excalibur called them)
Backstory: None
The heels attacked before we could even see their pre-match promo. Which they then played as the match continued, telling you all you need to know about the contest: Hobbs talked about ‘Chapter 13’ etc – a lot of Taz-related jargon – gist being that they weren’t done after losing on Sun. We came back to fullscreen just as they clinched the win.
WINNER: Hobbs & Starks
Athena vs Kiera Hogan w/ Baddies
Backstory: ‘Vintage AEW!’ : The Baddies interrupted Athena’s intro-promo on Wed
Kiera’s music is chill, some top-down in the summer stuff (at least in countries outside the UK where they have summer). Stokely promo before we started, they’re gonna send Athena to the back of the line.
Crowd veeery quiet as we began with a big right-hand from Kiera, Athena showing her athleticism, flipping out of an armdrag, following up with a springboard splash and a dive to the outside where she jawed with Jade, which got a nice reaction. Attempting to return, Velvet dropped Athena face-first on the apron, leaving the newcomer in trouble as we went to break.
As we returned, Athena rallied with a dropkick, kicks to the head, enziguri and a handspring forearm, before perching on the top for a long time as Velvet seemed late interfering, allowing a Hogan diving hurracanrana and a running boot to the face. 1, 2, kickout. Crowd still fairly quiet but coming alive at times.
The newbie again caught atop the corner, Kiera joined her with strikes to the face, but was shoved down to the mat, leading to the top-rope cutter for the win. Athena motioned for Jade to join her in the ring. Wanting no part, Jade looked nervous as Stokely stroked the strap. Good action.
WINNER: Athena
HOB video-package incl. newcomer Julia Hart: ‘carefully executed plan, house always wins.’ Then the usual stuff about how people want violence. Bit Wyatt-ish. They should save these promos for when the group actually has something to talk about.
CM Punk then came out, walking slowly with sadness pouring out of him, literally and figuratively, after the announcers had teased all night that he had a big announcement. He’d almost turned around and gone home, he told us, but knew he had to face the fans. ‘I’ve got good news and bad news’. He needs surgery, talked about broken bones and a ‘bad wheel’. He’d offered to relinquish the title but Tony Khan told him this was just a bump in the road. Promised to come back better than ever before.
Have to feel sorry for the guy, especially when it seems he got the injury diving into the crowd.
On Dynamite:
Hangman vs David Finlay
Battle Royal w winner facing Mox at Forbidden Door for Interim World Title
Scorpio Sky vs Dante Martin, TNT Title
Backstory: Dante answered an open challenge at the PPV, interrupted Sky on Wed to say he didn’t just have potential, he was better right now
Presumably Scorp has named his new Lakers-themed belt ‘Jeanie’ after owner Jeanie Buss? Which is fitting given that, like this belt, most of her decisions make no sense whatsoever. Worth noting that Dante made his entrance with just ten minutes of tv time remaining.
‘SCU’ chants sounded as we started with jabs and kicks as they felt each other out, before a series of shoulder tackles put Scorpio on top. Responding with a pair of armdrags, Dante took the champ down as the final break interrupted.
After that opener, and outside of Punk’s promo, the crowd never really returned. As we did, Dante touched the clouds with a springboard splash to the outside, then heading topside for a shotgun dropkick for a close count.
Here we were interrupted for the announcement of the battle royal (see above).
Continuing the pressure, Dante struck with a diving cross body and a stomp to the face. The youngster had Sky on the ropes, but was dropped on them himself, from which he rebounded into the TKO as the champ retained. Between tv-time remaining, ads and the announcement, this one was severely disrupted.
WINNER: Scorpio Sky
AEW brought out the big guns for their return to time slot: a huge tag match worthy of a PPV; a title defense (even if that title’s not what it used to be); the debut of their latest signing; and an announcement from the Champ.
On that subject, there are numerous ways to go here:
The first, if you wanted a twist to make people forget about Punk relinquishing: Kenny Omega – who last we heard still wasn’t quite healthy – returns during the battle royal, gets his title back.
Second, Hangman – who as it stands is already booked on Wed – wins the battle royal, ditto.
Third, Mox, the most credible champ in the company’s short history, gets reign number two.
Lastly, a surprise candidate with enough credibility – Miro, Malakai – gets their first run.
All depends on just how long Punk’s gonna be out for.
A new interim AEW World champion will be crowned at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view after it was revealed last night that CM Punk is out injured and will require surgery.
Punk, despite his wishes, is not vacating the title on the orders of AEW President Tony Khan. But instead of having no champion, a compromise was found and an interim champ will be decided on June 26.
A battle royal will be kicking things off this coming Wednesday on Dynamite and the winner of that match will then go on to face Jon Moxley in the main event.
The winner of that match will then face a yet to be named opponent at Forbidden Door where whoever wins that match will be crowned the interim AEW World champion.
Punk was set to take on Tanahashi at the show and with all matches being AEW vs NJPW talent, it looks like one of NJPW’s roster will be getting a shot at the AEW gold.
Wardlow was ranked #1 by AEW in the official weekly rankings chart on Wednesday but another chart was published yesterday, with Jon Moxley shooting up to #1 from #4 without explanation.
As the New Day make their way to the ring, Pat McAfee announces this is Michael Cole’s 25-year anniversary.
After talking about the Brawling Brutes, they introduce Drew McIntyre. Drew says before he says anything he wants to give a shout out to Big E to let him know he isn’t forgotten about. The New Day got him a gift, it’s a pair of wrestling shorts with Big D on the back.
Out come the Brawling Brutes. As Sheamus talked, Butch ran in the ring and attacked the New Day and McIntyre but gets thrown back out of the ring quickly by the three.
Back from break
The New Day & Drew McIntyre VS. The Brawling Brutes
As the action spills out of the ring, Kofi takes a hard bump to the back of his head, McIntyre gets hit with a Brogue Kick on the outside, Sheamus then distracts Woods who is in the ring with Butch and Butch hit the Bitter End and pins Woods.

Max Dupri is with Adam Pearce and says he found his first client and he will debut next week.
Humberto VS. Jinder Mahal
Before they come out, Jinder tells Shanky no dancing tonight, we have to get serious.
Shanky dances behind Jinder’s back as they make their way to the ring.
Shanky was dancing outside the ring and Mahal yells at him no dancing and Shanky gets on the apron and dances and while the referee is trying to get Shanky to get off the apron, Humberto rolls up Mahal. Mahal kicks out and Humberto turns around and yells and Shanky to get off the apron and Shanky gets down and Mahal then rolls Humberto up and gets the pin.
Winner: Jinder Mahal
After the match, Shanky raises Jinder’s arm and tries to get Jinder to dance with him but goes over to the ring announcer Samantha and Samantha gets up and dances with Shanky.
As they begin announcing the participants in the six-pack challenge to see who is going to face Ronda Rousey. They show Aliyah locked in a locker room.
Shotzi VS. Xia Li VS. Shayna Baszler VS. Natalya VS. Aliyah VS. Raquel Rodriguez
Ronda Rousey is at ringside at the announce table.
Aliyah was able to get out of the locker room and goes straight after Shotzi. As Baszler grabbed Rodriguez in the clutch after she slammed Shotzi, Aliyah gets thrown out of the ring and Natalya grabs the pin on Shotzi.
Winner: Natalya
Madcap Moss is back, no more suspenders, he is now in Black trunks. He says Corbin said that was the end for Madcap Moss and Moss says Corbin was right because Madcap Moss is gone, and he buried him. Moss said he has been having a dream where he is hitting Corbin in the face harder and harder as Corbin says tell us a joke Madcap. And he said he knows everyone here would enjoy that and calls out Corbin.
Corbin comes out and says Moss just wants his job back. Adam Pearce comes out and says he thinks a match between Corbin and Madcap sounds like a great idea and makes the match.
Madcap Moss VS. Happy Corbin
Moss hits Corbin with a chair and gets disqualified.
Winner by DQ: Happy Corbin
After the match Moss, continues to beat Corbin with chairs, the ring steps and puts Corbin’s neck in a chair like Corbin did to him a few weeks ago. But as Moss picks up the steps to hit the chair, numerous officials come in to stop Moss.
Kayla Braxton interviews the Usos. Usos say that Riddle dedicated the match to Randy, but they are dedicating the match to the Tribal Chief and after the match is over, they will still be the Unified tag team champions.
Ricochet says next week he defends the Intercontinental championship against Gunther and at the end of the match he will still be the champion. Gunther says next week his time is up.
The Usos VS. Riddle and Shinsuke Nakamura for the Tag Team Championship
During the match, the action spills outside the ring and Nakamura ran to kick Jey as he was getting up by the ring steps but Jey moves and Nakamura hit his left knee right into the steps. The referee checks on Nakamura and holds up the X sign. Trainers and other referees help Nakamura up and escort him to the back and Riddle, after checking on Nakamura, runs back in the ring and goes after the Usos.
Riddle tosses both Usos over the top rope as we go to break.
Back from break, the action is back in the ring. Riddle attempted an RKO, but Jimmy throws him off right into Jey and knocks Jey off the apron. Reversal and Riddle rolls up Jimmy but Jimmy kicks out and was able to hit a Samoan drop but Riddle kicks out. Jimmy goes to the top rope, but Riddle is there to catch him and went for the RKO off the top rope. Roman Reigns’ music hits, Jey sneaks up and tags Jimmy as Riddle connects with RKO and Jey hits the splash for the win.
Winners and Still the Unified Tag Team Champions: The Usos
In the back they show Sami Zayn in the control center jumping up and down and Zayn runs out to celebrate with the Usos as Riddle is extremely upset in the ring. Riddle bails out and attacks Zayn but the Usos make the save.
The show ends with officials pulling Riddle back screaming at the Usos, “This isn’t over! You can’t take Randy from me! You can’t take Randy”
Rampage had more news than originally scheduled as AEW World champion CM Punk announced that he is injured and needs to undergo surgery.
An emotional Punk said that a couple of things were broken, including his heart, and said that he originally wanted to vacate the title he has just won so other deserving individuals like Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson could go for the title.
But Punk said that AEW President Tony Khan vetoed that idea and told him that this was just a bump in the road, and he would be remaining champion.
Punk said that he promises to go on until the wheels go off and as of now, they haven’t gone off, just one of them is broken.
It’s unclear when Punk got the injury and it was not specified what the injury was.
On Wednesday when Dynamite was in commercials following the MJF segment, Punk came out limping heavily to talk to MJF but MJF ran away through the crowd.
Those who watched Double or Nothing might have noticed that Jeff Hardy looked off while he was wrestling with his brother Matt against The Young Bucks. There was a good explanation as to why, with Matt revealing in the latest episode of his podcast that Jeff was nearly knocked out in the opening minutes.
While they do not know exactly when Jeff got his bell rung, Matt said that his brother has zero recollection of the match and does not remember anything. He explained that Jeff still “held up his end of the bargain” and finished the match “running on fumes.”
He also said that he and the Bucks had to give directions to Jeff throughout the match to tell him what comes next as he had no idea what was going on.
“So considering he really got knocked loopy terribly at some point earlier in the match, he still did pretty good to go through and do everything he did,” Matt said.
Jeff was pulled from the post-PPV Dynamite on Wednesday due to the injury.
AEW’s favorite couple, Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti, got engaged in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. TMZ got the exclusive on the story, along with the photos of the proposal.
Guevara is seen getting on one knee and showing her the ring with the iconic Eiffel Tower in the background. Just in case you’re wondering, Conti said yes.
The two became polarizing figures after they took their personal relationship on screen, with fans turning on both of them. Guevara and Conti embraced the dislike from the fans and ran with it and both are now staples of AEW TV shows.
It was only last August when Guevara proposed to his then-girlfriend Pam inside an AEW ring. The two broke off their engagement a few months later and Conti was being targeted by fans for causing the breakup.
After a few weeks, the relationship between Guevara and Conti was made public after the two posted a photo kissing.
Rampage returns to its usual time slot tonight on TNT with the show airing at 10PM ET. Rampage has bounced all over the place over the last several weeks as TNT pre-empted it for NHL and NBA playoffs.
Tonight’s Rampage will be on tape delay from the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California. It will be another sold-out crowd for AEW, its second in the span of a few days, capping off a very successful West Coast debut.
Scheduled for tonight are Kiera Hogan vs Athena, who makes her AEW in-ring debut, The Lucha Bros vs the hometown favorites The Young Bucks, and Scorpio Sky defends his TNT title against Dante Martin.
