WWE and Amazon crack down on fake WWE replica titles sellers

WWE logo

WWE and Amazon today announced joint lawsuits against 13 defendants who attempted to market and sell inauthentic replicas of WWE-branded championship title belts in Amazon’s store including inauthentic replicas of commemorative title belts as well as the WWE World Heavyweight, Universal, Intercontinental, United States and NXT Championship title belt designs.

WWE combined its proactive IP monitoring and enforcement program with Amazon’s Project Zero and Brand Registry protection tools to detect infringing listings, and Amazon removed them. Then WWE partnered with Amazon’s Counterfeit Crimes Unit to pursue these lawsuits targeting bad actors who attempted to sell counterfeit products and falsely represent their locations and identities.

One of the defendants was found to be operating their fraudulent business out of New Jersey. In addition to the civil lawsuits, Amazon and WWE worked with the Middlesex County, New Jersey, Prosecutor’s Office to pursue these bad actors which led to felony counterfeiting charges against two connected individuals for sale of counterfeit WWE championship title belts.

“Amazon is the benchmark for collaboration with respect to brand infringement online,” said Vice President of Intellectual Property at WWE, Matthew Winterroth. “Official and licensed WWE products, branded by our IP, are trusted by our fans around the world and we go to great lengths to protect consumers from counterfeits and other types of infringements. It’s our hope that other companies look at Amazon’s Counterfeit Crimes Unit as a model of how to partner with companies of any size to help combat this relentless threat.”

“Amazon is committed to the authenticity of products in our store and protecting our customers from all forms of counterfeits, including those impacting fans of iconic entertainment brand WWE,” said Kebharu Smith, director of Amazon’s Counterfeit Crimes Unit. “We will continue to work with WWE and Middlesex County law enforcement to bring these bad actors to justice.”

Santana Garrett rejoins WWE as coach at Performance Center

Santana Garrett, who wrestled for NXT until she was released in mid-2021, has returned to WWE and is now a coach at the WWE Performance Center.

Garrett announced the news herself via a tweet, showing a selfie wearing a WWE shirt and writing, “This is NOT a throwback…” and a wink emoji.

The 34-year old Florida native then explained more in detail about her new job in a post on Instagram.

“First day back and I’m in a class helping with new hires. These girls are less than three months in, and they are amazing,” she wrote. “Like, I think back to me three months in and I see these girls and I’m just like, ‘Oh my gosh, I had no chance.’ But then also, to be fair, I just learned how to put my own eyelashes on like a year ago. So, slow learner I guess.

She also thanked everyone for the overwhelming support she received after the tweet.

Garrett, who made her debut in 2009, wrestled for many promotions throughout her career including Impact Wrestling, Shine, Stardom, WOW, AEW, and many indie promotions.

Our Lady Peace song ‘Run’ chosen as Clash at the Castle theme

The song ‘Run’ by Canadian alt-rock group Our Lady Peace has been selected as the theme for the WWE Clash at the Castle premium live event which takes place this Saturday from the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

“It’s extremely cool to know our music is being used in such a crucial and emotional part of the programming,” said Raine Maida, front man for Our Lady Peace. “We’re excited to join The Weeknd, Metallica, and Imagine Dragons as WWE theme song artists, and can’t wait to share our music with other parts of the world! The most common myths about CBD oil

Misinformation is so widespread these days that people get concerned with anything new or popular that makes its way to the market. Add the negative and naysayers to this crowd, and you get an ugly amalgamation that stinks of pessimism.

Now, if you didn’t get any of what I said above (I mean, yeah, why would you when I just threw a buttload of difficult ass words?), what I meant was: often, you get hesitant about buying something due to the misinformation that is being leaked and spread everywhere.

Whether it’s your neighbor who says, “CBD oil caused a young kid to have a heart attack! Yeah, no, it’s really sad…” or the pop-up ads trying to ‘protect’ you from buying CBD products.

This needs to stop, so here I am trying to bust some of the most common myths about CBD oil and why you shouldn’t listen to such people and use your CBD goods without stress. Hell, you can just click here to buy Cannabidiol Gummies for Pain.

Myth: CBD Oil Gets You High

We all know that marijuana comes from the same plant family as hemp. The hemp plant, or Cannabis Sativa, is far from marijuana. People, however, don’t seem to get this.

THC, tetrahydrocannabinol, is the high-inducing chemical found in both plants. Hemp has a much fewer concentration of CBD than marijuana. CBD oil from the hemp plant contains as much as 0.3% THC. Thus, the oils are safe and will not tamper with your senses.

Myth: CBD Oil Is Illegal

Due to the old reservations regarding CBD oil containing high levels of THC, some areas have placed restrictions on the products, requiring a specific acceptable THC limit in the materials.

So to clear off the rumors, no, it is not illegal. Certain states and countries have come up with a minimum 0.2% THC level or even zero traces of THC, like in Idaho, for CBD goods to be widely sold.

To be safe, go with the least amount of THC-infused CBD products to avoid being on the wrong side of the law wherever you live. And things like skincare are always safe to get- Pre-Order CBD Hair Nourishing Elixir by Loxa Beauty from the official store here.

Myth: CBD Oil Is A Fraud

Defaming a thing that has soared up the ground seems to be the thing these days. Admittedly some sites do overhype their products. Like no, you cannot become Beyonce overnight by using CBD oil. But this does not mean that it doesn’t work.

CBD oil treats pains, anxiety, and inflammation and helps you focus more. They have improved people’s sleep and helped with their restlessness. A CBD medicine has also been approved by the FDA that reduces seizures. Laura Geigaite, a skin condition expert at Loxa Beauty, has also ensured the quality of the CBD oils and other products remain top-notch.

As a user of CBD oils and products, your job is to get your products from reliable sites and know exactly how they are being made and what is in them. Don’t be misled by false advertisements and gossip; do your research on the matter.

Former Velveteen Dream arrested twice in Florida

Former NXT star Patrick Clark, better known to fans as Velveteen Dream, was back in the news as he was arrested twice this month, on August 20 and August 26.

For the first arrest, Clark was charged with battery and trespassing and for the second arrest, he was charged for possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Orange County Clerk of Courts records show that Clark paid the $1,200 bond on August 22 for his first arrest and pled not guilty the day after. A September 28 hearing is listed as canceled on the website. He is being represented by criminal defense attorney Kortney Daly of Smith & Eulo Law Firm. A copy of the record can be accessed here.

The 26-year-old was given the pink slip from WWE in May 2021 following several allegations that he sent sexually explicit photos to underage boys. WWE resisted the initial calls to fire him in mid-2020 when the cases went public but eventually let him go several months later.

Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah win the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles

Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah became the new WWE Women’s Tag Team champions last night on Raw after beating Dakota Kai and IYO SKY in the main event.

The match was the conclusion of a tournament which saw the new champions beating Natalya and Sonya Deville twice to advance to the final while Kai and SKY beat Tamina and Dana Brooke in the first round and Alexa Bliss and Asuka in the semi final.

Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, and Asuka made their presence felt during the match, coming out to cause some problems, allowing for a distraction. Aliyah won the match for her team by rolling up IYO SKY for the pinfall.

Belair, Bliss, and Asuka will meet Bayley, Kai, and SKY this Saturday at Clash at the Castle in a six-woman tag team match.

Former champs Sasha Banks and Naomi are also on the verge of returning with rumors being that WWE officials were waiting for the tournament to be completed before bringing the duo back.

FTR discuss getting left out of the AEW Fight Forever video game

In an interview with GiveMeSport on YouTube, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler discussed the news that was revealed this past weekend that the two have been removed from the upcoming AEW: Fight Forever video game.

The duo, who currently hold the AAA, IWGP, and ROH World Tag Team titles, were taken out of the game but were satisfied with AEW’s answer as to why.

Wheeler said that their issue was that they were blindsided by the action and were not told about it. “We found out like not how you would expect. And when you find out something like that…something major like being taken out of a video game, your mind automatically assumes the worst.”

Wheeler continued saying that the two were wondering if they should read between the lines and why they weren’t told beforehand. But eventually they got an answer which made “a lot of sense” and they agreed.

His tag team partner added that they initially heard about it back in March before their match against the Briscoes and after they were tipped off by a journalist, they went straight to Tony Khan who explained why.

Both Harwood and Wheeler were scanned for the game and will probably be added to the roster later on as part of a DLC pack.

Nikki Bella marries Artem Chigvintsev, four-part series coming to E!

Former Divas champion Nikki Bella got married this past weekend to professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev.

Nikki announced the news on her Instagram and said that her whole journey will come to television screens soon.

“We said I DO,” she wrote. “Can’t wait to share the entire journey with you all when our four-part special event, ‘Nikki Bella Says I Do,’ premieres on @eentertainment.”

The WWE Hall of Famer has been dating Artem since January 2019 after the two were coupled together on season 25 of Dancing with the Stars. A year later, Nikki gave birth to the couple’s first child, Matteo.

This is Nikki’s second marriage following her wedding at the age of 20 to her high school sweetheart. That marriage was annulled three years later. Nikki was also engaged to John Cena in 2017 but the couple called off the engagement and wedding a year later.

Vince Russo claims he consulted USA Network for Raw between 2020 and 2022

During his latest YouTube video, former WWE and WCW creative writer Vince Russo claimed that he has worked secretly for USA Network since 2020 overseeing WWE Raw.

Russo said that right before the COVID-hit WrestleMania in 2020, USA Network engaged him as a consultant, a job which ran up until past this year’s WrestleMania in Dallas.

“So basically bro, for two years, I was consulting for the USA Network. For two years bro, the USA Network paid me very, very, very well,” Russo claimed.

He said that he got in touch with the VP at USA Network and had a long discussion. Russo claimed that this person then went straight to Vince McMahon to green light it.

“The reason why I’m coming clean is bro, don’t tell me what the f*ck I’m talking about,” Russo said. “When it comes to numbers when it comes to networks, I don’t care if it’s 1999 or 2020…I know where they stand. I know what they are looking for. I know what’s acceptable and what’s unacceptable because I had communication with them for two straight years. So, don’t tell me what the f*ck I’m talking about bro, when I’m working directly with the network that WWE RAW is on.”

The full details on this will be revealed on today’s episode of Truth with Consequences on his Patreon site.

Russo became the head writer over at WWE in 1997 and lasted two years until he switched sides and went to WCW. His run in WCW was pretty disastrous and left a year later. Russo also had runs as head writer over at Impact Wrestling between 2002 and 2014.

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson now free agents

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson are officially done with Impact Wrestling completely and are free agents effective immediately.

The duo did not renew their Impact Wrestling contracts and will now be working some events for New Japan Pro Wrestling as they search for a permanent home.

The Good Brothers appeared multiple times on AEW during Kenny Omega’s run as champion and with enough friends in high places over there, it wouldn’t be surprising if the former tag team champions end up calling AEW home.

The situation over at WWE is a bit more complicated as the two were released just after signing a new deal in 2020. Since departing WWE, they were also very vocal about the company so a return there, while anything is possible, is highly unlikely.

Since arriving in Impact Wrestling in 2020, The Good Brothers won the Impact World Tag Team titles three times.

BT Sport releases awesome trailer for Clash at the Castle with Drew McIntyre

Ahead of next week’s Clash of the Castle premium live event, WWE UK broadcaster BT Sport has released a 2 minute 40 second commercial for the main event featuring Drew McIntyre.

The awesome trailer includes Drew’s wife Kaitlyn and his family and flashes back throughout McIntyre’s WWE career and what he went through to get this opportunity against Roman Reigns. The video also has a backstory on how his wife arrived in Nashville in 2014 with a particular luggage and then she goes online to find a similar one and leaves it for him with an envelope on it that reads “Home.”

The whole event is built around McIntyre going back home to the United Kingdom to headline the first major WWE event in 30 years.

McIntyre re-tweeted the video saying, “To my family and my beautiful wife, thank you.”

BT Sport did a previous awesome commercial for WrestleMania 36 with Drew McIntyre, filmed in the Scottish Highlands that earned rave reviews from fans and critics.

BT Sport will be airing the show live on BT Sport 2.

WWE takes over Principality Stadium as works start to set up for event

WWE has already taken over the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, to prepare the setup for next Saturday’s Clash at the Castle premium live event.

Dozens of trucks showed up at the location this week with equipment, many of which were unloaded on the main pitch, which has been obviously covered for the occasion.

The seat map does not show a large stage so don’t expect a WrestleMania-type setup. It will resemble more what WWE did at SummerSlam and at the Royal Rumble this year.

Over 66,000 tickets has so far been distributed for the show, around 7,000 shy of a sell-out. While not the most profitable show of the year, Clash at the Castle will be the most-attended wrestling show this year, beating each night of WrestleMania in terms of real attendance.

More single tickets released for All Out 2022 week

AEW has stopped selling the combo tickets for All Out weekend and released them as single tickets for Dynamite, Rampage, and the pay-per-view.

With the release of these tickets, there are nearly 800 tickets now left for All Out, with tickets starting at just $80. A couple of ringside seats are going for $3,000 each while floor seats start from $820.

Both Dynamite and Rampage have over quite a few tickets left, especially Rampage which is falling behind more in sales. Around 1,500 tickets remain for Dynamite.

All Out takes place on Sunday, September 4 from the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

Renee Paquette at WWE Performance Center for documentary filming

Renee Paquette was back in WWE territory yesterday and was filming an episode of Rivals for an upcoming A&E documentary at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

Paquette, the wife of AEW World champion Jon Moxley, never burned any bridges with the promotion and was always careful on her podcast not to badmouth her previous employer.

That contrasts Moxley, who after the Dynamite tapings on Wednesday, urged fans to not watch the “crap” on Monday and Friday night and instead watch AEW.

Paquette uploaded several photos from her busy day of filming on her Instagram. One photo had her at a table with Johnny Gargano, John “Bradshaw” Layfield, Kevin Owens, and former WWE creative writer and actor Freddie Prinze Jr.

Renee left WWE in 2020 after an eight-year stint and has since started her own podcast, titled Sessions. She made history in the company by becoming the first full-time female commentator on Raw.

Impact rating for 08/25/2022

This week’s Impact recovered a bit in viewership, getting 111,000 viewers, up 19,000 viewers from last week’s number. The show did a 0.02 in the 18-49 demo, the same as previous week and placed #142 in the top 150 cable chart for the night. (Ratings credit: Showbuzzdaily.com)
