Week four of WWE Superstar Sunday took place this past weekend on A&E with three new episodes of LFG, Rivals, and Greatest Moments.

Giulia reportedly injured, set for time away from the ring

Giulia’s reign as NXT Women’s champion came to a screeching halt last night at NXT Roadblock from The Theater at Madison Square Garden as Stephanie Vaquer defeated her in the main event of the show.

There is a reason why there was a title change and why the company pulled the title away from the Beautiful Madness so soon after winning it in the beginning of January.

The Japanese star is reportedly injured although what she is suffering from remains undisclosed. Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline also adds that there seems to be an issue with her U.S. visa which needs to be taken care of and that would leave her out of action for a while and unable to defend the title. Instead of just surrendering the title, the decision was taken to have a title vs title match against Vaquer and Giulia to put her best friend over.

Since winning the title, Giulia only defended the title three times: at a non-televised live event in Melbourne, Florida, against Lola Vice and Wren Sinclair, at Vengeance Day in a fatal four-way against Bayley, Cora Jade, and Roxanne Perez, and last night at Roadblock.

The March 3 episode of Raw on Netflix, which had the fallout from the Elimination Chamber, had 3,100,000 global views on Netflix, up half a million views from the previous episode. This was only the second time that Raw experienced a gain in viewers compared to the prior week.

Netflix listed 6,300,000 hours consumed, good enough for #7 on the top 10 global chart. Raw was top 10 in 15 different countries last week in Bahrain, Bolivia, Canada, El Salvador, Ecuador, Egypt, Guatemala, Honduras, Jordan, Kuwait, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, Saudi Arabia, and United States.

It’s interesting that not one European country made it in top 10. The next three episodes of Raw will be live from Europe starting from next week.

Stephanie Vaquer wins the NXT Women’s title at Roadblock

Stephanie Vaquer made history by becoming the first NXT Women’s North American and NXT Women’s champion at the same time after she defeated Giulia on last night’s episode of Roadblock on The CW.

The match was a title for title, champion vs champion, so someone was walking out of Madison Square Garden with both belts by the end of the night.

Vaquer finished off her best friend and opponent with three SSB back breakers, ending Giulia’s 63-day reign as champion. She had won it from Roxanne Perez at the NXT New Year’s Evil episode on January 7.

What happens to the NXT Women’s North American title remains to be seen but with Stand & Deliver just over a month away, it would be a great place to crown a new champion.

Natalya announces her memoir titled The Last Heart Beating

WWE Superstar Natalya announced on The Ariel Helwani Show that she will be releasing her memoir, titled The Last Hart Beating, later this year.

Set to be published in late October by BenBella Books and distributed by Simon & Schuster, the memoir will be a raw, waveringly honest look about Nattie’s life including her chaotic childhood in the boom-and-bust world of professional wrestling, including her family’s brush with homelessness, her father’s battles with addiction and other effects of chronic traumatic encephalopathy, leading to his eventual sudden death and how they shaped her, her struggle to navigate the complex dynamics between the Hart family and WWE in the aftermath of the Montreal Screwjob, Owen Hart’s tragic death, her husband TJ Wilson’s near-fatal, career-ending, in-ring injury, and her front-row seat to the rise of women’s wrestling and the resilience it took to thrive as a female wrestler at a time when what you looked like on screen was more important than how talented you were between the ropes.

“From heart-pounding glory to devastating loss, The Last Hart Beating pulls no punches when it comes to the drama, hilarity, and outright mayhem of life inside the ring and out,” the preview of the book reads.

Speaking to Helwani, Nattie said that the book has been like her baby and she has been working hard on it, pouring her soul into a captivating story.

“I was so grateful that in the summer, Triple H allowed me to have time to work on it and to really dig into it,” she said, revealing that she started working on it after she signed her new WWE deal in June.

“It was one of the most cathartic experiences of my life to be able to go, ‘OK, I want to tell my story,’ because once I started writing it, I realized that a lot of people don’t know my story,” she said.

Wrestling betting: how to make smart wagers on pro wrestling events

Professional wrestling is one of the most thrilling sports entertainment spectacles in the world, with WWE alone generating over $1.3 billion in revenue in 2023 and attracting millions of viewers worldwide. Although wrestling match outcomes are predetermined, fans can still enhance their experience by placing bets on major events through platforms like Betway Nigeria. Betting on wrestling requires a different approach compared to other sports, as it relies on analyzing storylines, booking patterns and industry trends rather than traditional statistics like player performance. This article explores the best strategies for making informed wrestling bets while ensuring a responsible approach to wagering.

Understanding How Wrestling Betting Works

Wrestling betting differs from standard sports betting. While other forms of betting rely on the player’s skill and the team’s overall performance, wrestling betting is distinct in that the contest outcomes are predetermined. Bookmakers establish odds based on industry speculation, leaks from the backstage and historical booking patterns. However, not all sources are equally credible; in fact, some may be downright useless. Betting markets often respond to credible sources whom they consider to be wrestling insiders, for example, reporters from Wrestling Observer Newsletter and Fightful Select. Speculation on social media that has not been verified is often inaccurate. Punters have to use multiple sources to confirm that they are credible before making bets.

Wrestling Betting Markets:

  • Winner of the Match: You bet on who you think will win the match.
  • Method of Victory: You bet on the method used to win the contest (pinfall, submission, countout, disqualification).
  • Title Change or Retention: You bet on the champion winning or losing their title.
  • Special Outcomes: betting on unpredicted appearances, match stipulation bets, or cash-in bets (like cashing in the WWE’s Money in the Bank briefcase).

Investigating Wrestling Storylines and Booking Patterns

Wrestling results are predetermined and thus smart betting requires that one understands the creative direction of a particular promotion. By monitoring TV shows, pay-per-view (PPV) events and listening to industry gossip, wise wagers can be made on anticipated outcomes.

  • For instance, when a dominant champion takes on a top-up contender, some sportsbooks might move the line in favor of the underdog.
  • Important Note: Wrestling Observer Newsletter and Fightful Select are very good at providing industry updates alongside insider information that is relevant to the odds.

Examining Lines for Wagering and Their Changes

The same as in other kinds of sports gambling, studying the movement of betting lines is critical for determining the winners of certain contests.

  • How It Works:

There may be a rumor that a wrestler is going to win a match. If so, one could expect that before the contest their line would be cut down and the odds lengthened over time.

On the other hand, if the odds widen, that may be an indication that the wrestler winning is not likely to happen.

  • Example: Before WWE WrestleMania 39, a lot of betting lines changed for Cody Rhodes, indicating that he would win the main event; however, Roman Reigns remained champion.

Major Promotions and Their Booking Patterns

Some distinct, identifiable booking patterns exist that influence all forms of betting regardless of the wrestling promotion.

  • WWE: Tends to create long-term dominant champions that defend their titles over an extended period.
  • AEW: Highly volatile with many unexpected upsets and highly contested matches.
  • NJPW: Combination of narratives with several strong style matches. Usually extends the title reign for seasoned wrestlers.
  • Independents: Much more volatile when it comes to betting due to lack of name recognition and constant changes in direction.

Smart Bankroll Management

Like any form of gambling, responsible betting is very important. Treating it like an investment can be extremely dangerous, as betting on wrestling is for entertainment, not profit.

  • Stick to a Budget: Pick an amount handy to spend and avoid going beyond that threshold.
  • Stay Away from Emotional Bets: Wagering on your fan-favorite wrestler isn’t always a great option.
  • Strategic Betting: Place smaller bets rather than one big bet on a single event so that you scale down the risk involved.

Popular Events and Betting Markets

Certain events attract a far greater number of bets to be placed because of how publicly marketed they are.

  • WrestleMania: WWE’s flagship event and the most heavily discussed show. When it comes to betting, the multi-year story interactions ensure there are a lot of good wagers.
  • Royal Rumble: Allow for wagers to be placed for unexpected entrants and winners.
  • AEW Double or Nothing: Famous for jaw-dropping title changes and wild endings.
  • New Japan’s G1 Climax: A fierce tournament that affects the long-term storyline of the wrestlers.

Understanding the Problems with Wrestling Betting

Due to the nature of wrestling being staged, there is always the chance of a drastic creative decision being made, which can produce shocking outcomes. Often, there are promotions that change the finishes of matches at the last second, which is bound to make bets go sideways.

  • Example: In 2017, The Undertaker was a massive favorite to beat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, but in a surprising booking decision, Reigns went over.
  • Primary Point: Always be prepared for unexpected upsets and avoid betting too heavily on “sure things.”

Final Thoughts

Wrestling betting is unique in that it requires a deep understanding of the matter as well as smart wagering. If you’re looking to get more enjoyment from specializing in certain events, all while keeping your gambling manners in check, tracking storylines, keeping an eye on odds fluctuations and responsibly managing bets can help. If you or someone you know is having issues with responsible gambling, it’s wise to call for help from providers like the National Council on Problem Gambling, which offers services for self-exclusion. For future wrestling events, try these tactics, but don’t forget to have fun and gamble responsibly. Though no outcome will ever be certain, implementing informed methods will only improve the experience of wrestling betting.

Roman Reigns returns and takes out Seth Rollins and CM Punk

Roman Reigns is back and has set his sights on potential opponents for WrestleMania: Seth Rollins and CM Punk.

Reigns showed up in the closing moments of Raw and helped Seth Rollins defeat CM Punk in a steel cage match, pulling Rollins out of the cage and giving him the win inadvertently.

Rollins, who stomped Reigns at the Royal Rumble, was then on the receiving end of a Superman punch, followed by a spear, and eventually a stomp, leaving him laid out.

The former WWE champion then noticed his Wiseman, Paul Heyman, who was in the ring helping CM Punk get over his loss. Reigns entered the ring, threw Punk into the cage and then speared him, also leaving him motionless.

The show ended with Reigns throwing the one in the air along with the rest of the fans at Madison Square Garden.

Steel cage match headlines Raw from Madison Square Garden tonight

AJ Styles will be on hand to call out Logan Paul and WWE World Heavyweight champion Gunther, Rhea Ripley, Penta, and WWE Women’s Tag Team champions Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez are also scheduled to appear.

Over 17,500 fans and counting set for tonight’s Raw at MSG

Raw

Raw live from Madison Square Garden has a chance of becoming the most-attended Raw of 2025 tonight as over 17,500 fans already have their tickets for the show.

Ticket tracking service @WrestleTix is reporting that MSG has been expanded to 18,000 seats and if WWE manages another 400 tickets, it will surpass the June 28 episode of Smackdown from last year which had 17,843 in attendance.

All the seats on Ticketmaster amount to 18,480 so they still have room to expand if there’s a big enough demand in the walk up.

The cheapest ticket available right now on Ticketmaster is $173.45 and that is up in the nosebleed section. The most expensive tickets are ringside for $1,122.55.

Revolution 2025 leaves a few stars injured

Several AEW stars came out of Revolution with some nasty bumps and bruises as a very hard-hitting pay-per-view left its mark on those who put their bodies on the line for the sake of entertainment.

The biggest injury seems to have happened to Momo Watanabe who had to be helped after suffering an ankle injury during the match against Mercedes Mone. Watanabe had to use crutches to move around backstage.

Speaking of her opponent, Mone was also on the receiving end of some wicked kicks from Watanabe. That left some bruises and also a bruised larynx according to Bryan Alvarez of the Observer after a kick which landed on Mone’s neck.

The steel cage match left both Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher hurting and according to multiple sources, Ospreay was heavily limping after the match after a bad landing on his hip following a Spanish Fly off the top of the cage.

The new number one contender for the AEW World title, Swerve Strickland, revealed during the post-show press conference that he has a busted eardrum courtesy of Ricochet.

Other matches also had some close calls and a few have to thank their lucky stars.

AEW President Tony Khan acknowledged in the post-show press conference that a lot of people were banged up in the back and he had to go check with medical to find out who can be cleared to compete this week.
