Tyra Mae Steele, one of the two winners of the WWE LFG reality series, made her NXT television debut last night on CW.
In a backstage segment, Arianna Grace interrupted her and wondered if the gold medals that Steele has were indeed of real gold. That was enough for Steele to decide who her first opponent would be.
The Olympic gold medalist eventually won her first match, pinning Grace with a German suplex.
Real name Tamyra Mensah-Stock, she is an Olympic gold medal winner from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She has a score of other gold medals from other competitions in the 68kg division.
As it was the case originally with Ricky Saints, Mariah May was never addressed by her name during her surprise appearance on NXT last night and she is expected to receive a new name in WWE.
The change of name, an ugly, but most of the time a necessary evil, is due to intellectual property issues. Like this, WWE owns the rights to the new name for use on apparel and everything else instead of having to license it from the individual.
May received a huge pop from the crowd yesterday when she appeared and Corey Graves was equally excited on commentary!
“Wow, wow, wow,” he said. “She’s even better in person, Vic!”
After the show, May said that it’s about damn time that she is now in WWE and posted on X a photo sitting backstage with the words, “honey I’m home.”
She also updated her bio to read WWE Superstar.
It’s unclear what name May will have in WWE as of this moment.
There has been a change in one of the WWE/AAA Worlds Collide matches as Joaquin Wilde was injured during the WWE Speed tapings on Monday and was ruled out of the show.
Wilde was supposed to team up with Cruz Del Toro and Dragon Lee vs Aero Star, Octagon Jr., and Mr. Iguana in a six-man tag match but will now be replaced by Lince Dorado.
Wilde was knocked out during a match against Lexis King, with him writing on social media that he was never knocked out cold before.
The match was stopped and Wilde was helped out by the WWE medical team at ringside.
The May 26 episode of Raw on Netflix tied the least-watched episode of the year so far with just 2,600,000 global views, enough for #6 on the Netflix Top 10 spot.
This episode also unfortunately has the record of the least watched hours, with 4,800,000 hours for the show which was edited down to 1 hour 43 minutes.
Raw was in the top 10 in 15 different countries last week including Bahrain, Bolivia, Canada, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Egypt, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, El Salvador, United Kingdom, and United States.
Mariah May made a surprise appearance on NXT last night, interrupting a brawl between several women all vying for the NXT Women’s title.
The in-ring segment featured the new NXT Women’s champion Jacy Jayne with Fatal Influence and they were rudely interrupted by several women including Lainey Reid, Lola Vice, Jordynne Grace, Jaida Parker, Kelani Jordan, Lash Legend, and Thea Hail before all hell broke loose.
Cue the lights out…and when they went back up, the former AEW Women’s champion Mariah May was standing on the balcony overlooking the ring.
Fans inside the WWE PC gave her a massive pop. With the spotlight on her and Corey Graves losing it on commentary, May grabbed the mic and addressed the rest of the women.
“I have finally arrived,” May said. “And ladies, ladies, hm, you can call me the next NXT Women’s champion…because the best women’s division in the world just got a lot more glamorous!”
May left AEW last month after a two-year stint with the company where she won the AEW Women’s title once.

Santino Marella joined Insight with Chris Van Vliet for a long, one hour and 17 minute interview where he talks about joining TNA as the Director of Authority and being able to keep his WWE name, the Cobra vs. Socko spot with Mick Foley in the Royal Rumble, a possible Hall of Fame induction and more!
On becoming TNA’s Director of Authority:
“Scott D’Amore kind of asked me if I was interested a few times, and it’s just timing wasn’t right. Then coming out of COVID, I’m like, you know what? I think it’s time. Everything kind of lined up, talked to my wife and we went back in. So anyway, I got a call from Robert Evans, who was one of the writers at the time, and he had this vision of the Director of Authority. We started talking about that FBI kind of [look]. In the beginning, I was wearing tactical pants, and I had like an FBI jacket, which someone scooped up. I don’t know [who it was]. We had some TNA shows at Battle Arts back in the day, and during cleanup, someone scooped it. So, yeah, it was one of one. Then we switched to the tracksuits, which came in super handy, it’s one of our sponsors. But being able to wear a uniform on a weekly basis, it just saves so much decision-making. What am I going to wear? I have a uniform. I wear the tracksuit with the badge, it’s good for now.”
On being able to keep his WWE name:
“So that was actually almost bigger news than me appearing on TNA, was the fact that I was Santino Marella. So in 2021, I imagine the COVID confusion or whatever, there were people getting fired and hired, and it seemed like it was team Hunter and team Vince, and they were changing regimes or whatever. Somebody didn’t renew the trademark. So Scott D’Amore, as a habit, because if he’s getting a former WWE guy, he kind of checks the trademark to see if they’re available, because he has to get creative and come up with a name. If it’s not Fandango, it’s Dango or something that’s legally not going to be too close to the intellectual property. He checked, and all of a sudden he goes, damn, Santino Marella is available. So he bought it. It’s not as simple as you can just buy it and it’s yours. There’s a case that they created the character, they developed the character. It’s still on their library. I mean, there’s still tons of Santino stuff in the library. But when it’s library use, I think it’s not considered like current use, because it’s from a library. So they sent an email or a phone call to Scott, and they say, ‘Yeah, you’re using our intellectual property.’ And Scott’s like, ‘Actually, I own the trademark.’ So they’re like, ‘Let me get back to you.’ It’s kind of sitting there for a while. Then they filed an extension to the time they can appeal it, and then when Scott was no longer with TNA, Ariel [Shnerer], in hopes of having a good relationship with WWE, kind of just gave it back to them. So they own it, but I’m not sure if a part of the deal was we’ll give it back to you but can we use it? And we’ve been using it.”
On the Cobra vs. Socko spot with Mick Foley:
“It was funny, because I kind of pitched the whole thing to him, and he was so giddy during my pitch, he was loving it. Anyway, I wanted to do the whole back into each other, a couple of gun fighters in the Wild West, and then kind of turn and then see each other, and kind of get ready. We didn’t time it out, but it took us the exact same amount of time to put our respective socks on, and then we kind of did that. It was perfect timing. Then we circled, there was other guys in the ring, but everyone just kind of got small. You can see Big Show just watching and enjoying it. And yeah, then we did the battle. We were supposed to do a little more. You know like in movies, wizards will have rays kind of hitting each other, they’ll go back. We were supposed to kind of do that across the ring but Cody jumped in a little early, and I was like, we had more planned. But anyway, it was still memorable, because people understood immediately what was happening. Oh, damn, It’s sock versus sock, and he’s the right guy. That was actually probably one of my most fun things.”
On fans calling for Hall of Fame induction in the future:
“Well, it depends what you go to wrestling for. If you want macho tough guys, and some people just don’t like comedy, they want to see slobber knockers each and every match. It’s pretty polarized. I think the vast majority of people appreciate the comedy, but there are people that they have no place for comedy.”
The TNA World title will be defended in the main event of tonight’s NXT on CW as champion Trick Williams puts up his gold on the line against Mike Santana.
This is the second time that the TNA title will be defended on an NXT show following the Joe Hendry title defense against Williams at Battleground last month.
“Today is the day. I have worked my entire life for these moments and I will prove that I am who I say I am,” Santana wrote on X, adding that failure is not an option, never has been, and never will be.
“Tonight I fight for myself. I fight for TNA. I fight for my city and culture. But most of all, I fight for my little girl who will be watching her papi at home, live his dreams. And know that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. TONIGHT. WE FIGHT,” he continued.
Other matches announced for the broadcast so far are Myles Borne vs Charlie Dempsey with the stipulation that if Borne wins, he’s free of No Quarter Catch Crew, and Chase U vs DarkState in a six-man tag match.
Matt Jackson of The Young Bucks said during a Q&A on YouTube that he was approached by somebody “high up” in AEW to bring back the BTE series.
“I’ve actually been contacted recently by…I won’t say who it was, but someone high up in AEW about bringing it back…and I don’t know,” Matt said.
BTE was the super popular YouTube series by The Elite which was stopped in late 2023.
Matt also said that they also toyed with the idea of doing a documentary with all the footage that never aired.
“It would be fun to do a documentary on everything too because there’s so much footage, hours and hours and hours of unused footage. Brandon has a whole library that nobody even is aware of,” he continued.
He said that him and his brother Nick told Brandon to film everything because they know one day they’ll be able to put a documentary together about BTE.
Ron Killings has hilariously opened an OnlyFans page, labeling it as his new “Twitter blog.”
The former R-Truth seems like he’s keeping his gimmick of confusing things, something that always got big laughs from fans inside the arenas.
“Welcome to my new Twitter blog. I may not only allow fans, but I am considering haters too (Mark Henry),” he wrote in the bio. “Feet pics in 30 days and maybe Big Jimmy.”
The 30 days seem to be when he is legally free from any WWE contracts.
Fans at Raw last night chanted for Truth during multiple matches, with CM Punk even acknowledging the chants after Raw went off the air.
“How dare you chant for someone who’s not here,” Punk said as a joke, obviously referring to the many times fans chanted his name when he was not around.

Sarah Logan, who for the past few years wrestled under the name Valhalla, revealed in a post on social media that her WWE contract is not being renewed and is also exiting the company.
“I come to you with tears in my eyes cause our time has come to a sudden end,” she wrote. “WWE informed me yesterday that they are letting my contract expire.”
She said that being honest, her ego was “damaged” as you always assume that when you end a lifelong career, there is going to be a grand exit.
“But here I am, using the notes app on my phone typing up a goodbye letter to an entity that will forget I was even there,” she continued. “I truly take no offense to this, my career as it was is getting usurped by my vocation and it’s all on a Divine timeline that I trust deeply.”
She hinted that she will have a “clean break” from professional wrestling and will be taken care of by her husband Erik, who currently forms part of The Viking Raiders.
“I love all the people you’ve brought into my life but my social media page won’t be about you anymore. It will share only the parts of me that I wish and none of that will be wrestling. I’m more of a clean break kinda girl and the other calls to me will be taking my full attention. With all my love, Sarah,” she concluded.
Her last match was in February 2024 as two months later she announced that she was pregnant with her second child.
Logan returned to WWE in 2022, first making an appearance at the Royal Rumble and then returning full-time in November with The Viking Raiders under the name Valhalla.
The final two spots for the two Money In The Bank ladder matches were completed last night on Raw.
In the first qualifier, former NXT Women’s champion Stephanie Vaquer defeated Liv Morgan and Ivy Nile to book her spot in the women’s match while El Grande Americano won his match against CM Punk and AJ Styles to clinch the final spot in the men’s match.
Vaquer now joins Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley, Roxanne Perez, Naomi, and Giulia while El Grande Americano joins Solo Sikoa, LA Knights, Seth Rollins, Penta, and Andrade.
The winners of these two matches will have a briefcase to cash in on any champion at any given night.
Several WWE Superstars attended the Netflix Tudum 2025: The Live Event show which was held at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California on May 31.
All of them spoke a little bit on the microphone in front of the live audience, with CM Punk plugging the upcoming WWE: Unreal series which will debut on Netflix later this year. The whole on-stage segment last just over four minutes.
GCW owner Brett Lauderdale has hinted that Ron “R-Truth” Killings will be at the upcoming GCW Tournament of Survival X this coming Saturday.
The GCW X account said that they have signed entrant #9 of the tournament but left the name a mystery. Lauderdale then reposted it and added “Whats up? (Whats up?),” which is obviously part of Truth’s shtick.
The event will take place at the Showboat Atlantic City on Saturday starting at 5PM ET. The show will air live on Triller TV and tickets are available at gcwtosx.eventbrite.com.
Killings announced yesterday that he has departed WWE after 17 years.
Elayna Black, the artist formerly known as Cora Jade has officially started her OnlyFans endeavor.
Now a free agent and legally able to do anything since her no-compete clause expired, the former NXT star is going to keep busy with independent promotions and also earning some extra money with her OF side gig.
A recent comment of hers in heel mode said that she can now be able to profit off of fans being creeps which they were going to do for free anyways and wrestle wherever she wants at the same time.

“Over the past two years, WWE and Slim Jim have renewed one of the most memorable collaborations in sports entertainment history and we will expand on that momentum as the partnership continues in the coming years,” said Grant Norris-Jones, Executive Vice President and Head of Global Partnerships, TKO.
“We are thrilled to extend our successful partnership with WWE, which has brought immense excitement and engagement to our fans,” said Ashley Spade, VP & General Manager of Snacks at Conagra Brands. “Extending our partnership during Monday Night Raw will give us even more opportunities to create unique and memorable experiences that tap into the rich history and savage energy of both Slim Jim and WWE.”
Ahead of SummerSlam 2023, Slim Jim became WWE’s Official Meat Snack and launched a custom commercial and product campaign featuring WWE Superstars Bianca Belair and LA Knight. WWE and Slim Jim first crossed paths 30 years ago with a series of explosive, in-your-face Slim Jim commercials, featuring “Macho Man” Randy Savage debuting the famous tagline, “Snap Into a Slim Jim!” that has remained a hallmark of the Slim Jim brand ever since.
The Judgment Day clubhouse is going to have one less member as Carlito announced that WWE is not renewing his contract and is departing in two weeks.
“My contract is up in 2 weeks. It will not be renewed. On top of that, WWE is demanding I pay back the $ they paid me for apparently ‘stealing money’ from the company,” Carlito wrote on X. “I’ve had my lawyers look into it and after reviewing my footage on Netflix for the past months they suggested I pay them back the money!”
But after the jokes, came the serious part.
“Gracias WWE & especially the WWE universe. Los quiero mucho! PS…I’ll reappear again in another 13yrs. Dios me los bendiga!”
His news came after R-Truth also announced that he has left the company after they did not opt to renew his deal.
The 46-year-old Puerto Rican rejoined WWE in mid-2023 after an appearance at Backlash in San Juan which blew the roof off.
