Scheduled sixth match for Wrestlepalooza postponed to next week’s Smackdown

A scheduled sixth match for tonight’s Wrestlepalooza, a match which was never officially announced but was on the merchandise being sold for the show, is postponed and taking place on Smackdown next week instead.

The match was a triple threat for the WWE Women’s title between champ Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill, and Nia Jax. Due to an injury Stratton suffered last week on Smackdown in her match against Jax, the match had to unfortunately be moved to next week, allowing Stratton enough time to recover.

Stratton also missed the NXT Homecoming show where she was supposed to team up with Rhea Ripley and Stephanie Vaquer. Ultimately, former NXT Women’s champion Lyra Valkyria took her spot.

Brock Lesnar takes out Corey Graves on Smackdown

Brock Lesnar took one half of the Smackdown commentary team yesterday, with Corey Graves being on the receiving end of two F5s from the Beast Incarnate.

Lesnar opened the show for an interview, and things went sideways immediately as Lesnar carried Cole to the ring and then dropped him. Graves tried to calm things down by entering the ring and reason with The Beast but Lesnar hit an F5 on Graves.

With medical personnel in the ring to check on Graves, Lesnar picked Graves again and delivered another F5 before leaving.

Following a commercial break, Lesnar met with The Vision backstage and his former advocate, Paul Heyman. Lesnar informed Heyman they need to talk.

The Miz eventually replaced Corey Graves on commentary and teamed with Michael Cole for the remaining of the show.

Graves is a former wrestler himself but his career came to an end in 2014 due to concussions.

Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre contract signing headlines Smackdown tonight

Tonight’s Smackdown on USA Network is the final stop before Wrestlepalooza and the show will be coming to you live from the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio.

Only two matches have been announced so far, with Sami Zayn defending the United States title against Carmelo Hayes and Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss defending the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles against Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre.

Plus, Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre will have their contract signing for the WWE Championship match and Brock Lesnar will have an interview ahead of his match against John Cena.

Triple H on Wrestlepalooza: “Expect spectacle, expect surprises”

Appearing on the ESPN morning show Get Up, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque said that fans should expect a spectacle and surprises tomorrow night when WWE starts their partnership with the network with Wrestlepalooza.

“Nobody does big events like WWE with possibly the exception of ESPN, right? What you guys do, the hype that you put around it, shows like this, coming up here and having the honor of being here with you, you know, all of this, First Take, ESPN builds those events to be bigger than anything and then we deliver on them bigger than anybody,” Triple H told host Mike Greenberg.

The company is expected to go all out, pun intended, with this first show to make a statement.

“So expect spectacle, expect surprises, expect to have a lot of fun and ESPN is gonna deliver,” he continued.

The show will air on ESPN for viewers in the United States and on Netflix internationally.

Kiera Hogan departs AEW

Kiera Hogan, who for the past couple of years has wrestled for AEW and Ring of Honor, has left the promotion after her contract expired and it was not renewed.

The 31-year-old made her AEW debut in August 2021 and was part of The Baddies stable with Red Velvet and Jade Cargill. She had zero presence on AEW or ROH television in 2025 and much of 2024, with her last appearance on ROH coming on April 27, 2024 and her last appearance on AEW TV way back on February 10, 2024.

Hogan spent a few years in TNA before joining AEW.

Another Worlds Collide show is being planned before the end of the year, with Survivor Series weekend in San Diego as the possible location.

Dax Harwood says he has a broken nose

Dax Harwood of FTR said in a post on X that he has a broken nose but will not miss All Out tomorrow.

The former AEW Tag Team champion was on the receiving end of a microphone shot to the face on Dynamite and started bleeding.

“I had an X-Ray today. To the shock of no one, I have a severely broken nose,” Harwood wrote. “Unfortunately for Christian & Copeland, I’ll still be there. No way I’m missing out on this match. I’m going to embarrass you.”

FTR will take on Copeland and Cage in a tag match which will kick off the pay-per-view in Toronto.

Tony Khan interested in running a big show when WrestleMania heads to Saudi Arabia

During a call with the media yesterday ahead of All Out, AEW President Tony Khan expressed his interest in running a big show in Spring of 2027 to make up for WWE heading to Saudi Arabia for WrestleMania.

With WWE taking its show to Saudi, it’s unlikely any of the indie promotions or fan conventions that take place around WrestleMania will follow them come 2027.

Fans have now turned to AEW to hold a big stadium show in the United States during the same time where other indie shows and conventions can take place, replacing WrestleMania.

Khan said he was “very interested” in the idea and mentioned that they will have something big for Spring of that year, mentioning Revolution, although it’s unclear if he meant Revolution would be that show or another show added to the calendar specifically during the Mania timeframe.

Raja Jackson arrested for indie show assault and charged with a felony

Raja Jackson, the son of former UFC champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, was arrested yesterday morning according to TMZ and charged with a felony of battery with serious bodily injury.

He was held in jail on a $50,000 bond, which was posted later in the night.

Raja made headlines for all the wrong reasons when he assaulted KnokX Pro wrestler Syko Stu with 22 blows to the head and face in what was supposed to be just a run-in angle to play off an earlier incident between the two where Stu smashed a beer bottle on Raja’s head.

Stu spent several days in hospital following the assault but is now recovering at home as he heals from the several injuries he suffered.

Cena vs Lesnar to kick off Wrestlepalooza

Wrestlepalooza

WWE has chosen the perfect match to launch the ESPN era, selecting John Cena vs Brock Lesnar as the match which will kick off the Wrestlepalooza premium live event on Saturday night.

The announcement came via Pat McAfee on his Pat McAfee Show earlier today after a three-minute monologue by McAfee hyping up Cena, Lesnar, the match, and the partnership between WWE and ESPN.

Last week, Joe Tessitore explained on ESPN that the match would headline the show, but things changed along the way and the honor now goes to Cena and Lesnar.

Rumored to be main eventing the broadcast is the tag team match between CM Punk and AJ Lee vs Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.

Tickets for Wrestlepalooza, live from the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana remain available via Ticketmaster.com with the cheapest ticket at $119.60 for a verified resale or $130.50 for a limited view seat for a non-resale ticket.

Which cable subscribers can watch WWE PLEs for free starting with Wrestlepalooza?

WWE ESPN

WWE will be starting their new partnership with ESPN on Saturday with Wrestlepalooza, as all of their premium live events move to ESPN’s new direct-to-consumer app for viewers in the United States.

WWE programming will be available to those who have the ESPN Unlimited plan, with the former ESPN+, now Select, missing in on the action.

Some cable subscribers who have access to ESPN will be able to stream the premium live events for free thanks to agreements ESPN have with select providers.

If have a Hulu + Live TV, Fubo, DIRECTV Signature Package or DIRECTV Stream, or Spectrum TV Select or Spectrum Platinum subscription, congratulations, you get the ESPN Unlimited subscription free as part of your package.

We suggest you visit your provider’s FAQ pages to see how to link your account to the MyDisney account required to log in to the ESPN app. A MyDisney login is needed to access the ESPN app and linking the two accounts is the only way you can watch them free.

If you currently subscribe to other services such as Comcast, YouTube TV, Sling TV, Dish, Cox, etc, you are, unfortunately, out of luck, as these providers do not have an agreement with ESPN to offer the service as part of your subscription.

ESPN execs are expecting that the majority of cable providers who offer ESPN on linear television will have the capability to offer the new ESPN DTC for free to their subscribers by the end of 2026 as deals are still being worked out.

Fans can still subscribe to the ESPN Unlimited package for $29.95 a month to watch the WWE shows and everything that ESPN has to offer.

Will Ospreay undergoes successful back surgery

Will Ospreay is on the road to recovery after he underwent successful back surgery yesterday.

Ospreay went under the knife to repair two herniated discs in his back, and admitted in a previous interview that he was terrified about it as this was his first surgery and didn’t know the mental battle that was yet to come.

“The road will be long, but it’ll be worth it to see you all again,” Ospreay wrote on X today. “Surgery was a success.”

The Brit last wrestled at Forbidden Door in front of his people in London and while he was given the honor to close the show, he was violently attacked by The Death Riders to write him off television for the foreseeable future.

It’s unknown at this point how long will Ospreay stay on the sidelines but it will be several months before he is back in an AEW ring.

Shawn Michaels talks running NXT, his two in-ring career eras, epic matches, and more

Shawn Michaels sat down with Chris Van Vliet in Las Vegas, Nevada to discuss the transition from wrestler to running NXT, what looks for in a young Superstar, the 2 defining eras of his in-ring career, his epic matches with the likes of The Undertaker, Ric Flair and Kurt Angle, whether he views himself as the greatest wrestler of all time, his thoughts on his return match at Crown Jewel, his mindset to become Mr. WrestleMania and more!

On what he is looking for in a pro wrestler:

“I think when we talk about feel, and timing. Timing and feel are probably, in my opinion, the two most important things in this business. You can get by with so much more if you have those two aspects. You can be a little short in athleticism, you can be a little short in psychology, you can be a little short in, I don’t know, overall knowledge of the game, so to speak. If you have timing and a real feel, because those are things that, I guess charisma plays a part in that. But if you have timing and feel, I feel like the charisma and all the other is going to sort of match that timing and feel, if that makes sense. I know sometimes when I talk about this, I know I don’t always make sense to a lot of people, but that’s the level that I’m at.”

On there being 2 eras of Shawn Michaels:

“Well, sure, before and after [1998]. One from a personal standpoint, obviously, we see that we knew the difference, and we know whatever it is you want to call it, before the back injury, after the back injury. Before saved, after saved, whichever way, troublemaker, much easier to deal with. Honored to have had both and both serve their purposes, certainly in my life. I always tell people, of course, I would love to go back and have had the opportunity to do the first part different. However, I’d be lying, I guess, if I didn’t say that I don’t know where I’d be at today if I didn’t go through that. And I don’t know how successful I’d have become had I not been that way. So yes, a lot of it, people look at as very negative, but I didn’t think I had any other chance if I didn’t push that way. Probably overly paranoid, I don’t know, whatever it is you want to call it. I just didn’t think I had the luxury of what everybody else did. And I don’t know that’s fair. So don’t get me wrong. I’m not trying to justify it. Everything stems from an insecurity within myself about who I was. None of it had to do with the ability. Because look, a lot of times in this job, especially when you’re young, you say, I’m good enough. We make applications to this line of work like you do in football or basketball. ‘If I can do A, B, C and D, I ought to be the highest paid. I ought to be able to do this. I ought to be able to do that.’ Our job isn’t like that, because it’s not what those are, and it was very hard to get that through my incredibly thick skull at that time in my life. I think on paper, I was better than 99.9% of the people that were in the wrestling ring. That’s irrelevant. It’s not totally irrelevant, not like it doesn’t mean anything, but again, whatever it is you want to say.”

On whether he considers himself as the greatest of all time:

“But again, there’s all sorts of caveats. And that’s one of those things, again, in that book, greatness is very kind of the times. You know, fads, trends, different times. Who’s the best basketball player of all time? Is it LeBron James, or is it Michael Jordan? If I ask somebody that’s under 30, they’re going to tell me LeBron James. You ask me, and I’m going to tell you that it is Michael Jordan, and nobody will ever convince me differently. But it’s never going to get proven and same with mine, it’s never going to get proven. I don’t know how much Michael Jordan or LeBron James cares about that. I know Shawn Michaels doesn’t. I’m honored to be in the conversation. Who cares after that? But if you’d have asked me that at 28, the answer would be totally different. It would mean a lot to me, and that was the biggest difference. Again, it was more about perspective and getting my priorities straight and understanding that there are things that are bigger than this line of work, and how can I be great at all of them, or at least have the mindset of being great at all of them, but doing them in a way that I can also be proud of doing them, and I think that was the biggest part of the change.”

On which match he considers to be his last:

“It’s that one with Undertaker [at WrestleMania 26]. Because the other one, it was a tag match, it was DX, and I feel kind of bad, because I don’t mean it in a negative way, but that was just sort of like, I don’t know. It was like Kiss going out, and not even with the original members or whatever, and playing a concert at The Troubadour or something. It was like, Oh, but they’re not really retired, and I know Kiss never retired, just felt like a special, separate one-off. HBK and Mr. Wrestlemania, The Showstopper, whatever, that ended with Taker at WrestleMania, because I still came back and refereed the match between Hunter and Taker and again, and will always play a role in the WWE. Would it count if I went into the Rumble this year or something? Don’t get me wrong.”

Are you going to?

“Oh, heavens no! [Laughs] Probably shouldn’t have said that. I was just using that as an example. But no, I don’t consider those a match. A single performance by me, by HBK, by that guy. That’s not who that was. That was a dude hanging out with his buddies and having a match. So one was the artist, the other one is was a dude, like I said, hanging out with his buddies.”

Cody Rhodes talks who can succeed Triple H in the hot seat

Appearing on ESPN’s Unsportsmanlike show to promote Wrestlepalooza, WWE champion Cody Rhodes was asked if he would like to be in Triple H’s position 10 years from now, leading the company creatively.

Rhodes jokingly said that there’s starting to become a fight for it, and although he didn’t see it at first because of course he’s the best candidate, there’s a couple of other Superstars who would be vying for the spot.

“I don’t, I don’t want to run the place. I don’t know if I’m actually the best guy, but you want to run the play. I felt like I had some experience and I’d be interested in something like that,” Cody said.

Cody then mentioned that it’s very clear that CM Punk is really great at helping developing young talent and said that he has a knack for it more then anybody, and Seth Rollins, while a bit “rough around the edges,” would probably be an outstanding boss.

“When it comes down to it, I’d love to throw my name in the hat. I don’t know if I’m ready to do it officially yet, but I like the fact that, uh, there’s the three of us, plus there’s tons of other people,” he continued.

Rhodes also mentioned the likes of Bayley and Roman Reigns who would be up for the job.

“The industry is not easy and Triple H is doing a great job.So thankfully, we have him for quite some time,” he concluded.

The pros and cons of playing at free-to-play social casinos

The Pros and Cons of Playing at Free-to-Play Social Casinos

Social casino games are all about low-chances fun. No money in, no money out—just a chance to spin, play, and relax. Platforms like ZulaCasino offer plenty of games, daily bonuses, and a social vibe that keeps things casual and engaging without the financial pressure.

Why People Love Social Casinos

Let’s break it down. Why are these social casino apps and sites becoming so popular?

1. No Money Needed

A major reason people try a free to play social casino is the freedom from financial risk. You can start playing instantly without entering any payment details. Since there’s no real money involved, there’s no chance of losing anything.

2. A Social Twist

These platforms encourage players to connect with friends. You can send gifts, challenge others, or see leaderboards. Some even allow team tournaments or virtual lounges. It’s a casino-like vibe but without the pressure.

3. Tons of Variety

From themed slots to poker-style games and mini-games, there’s something for everyone. Platforms often add new content and offer daily bonuses or spins to keep players engaged.

4. Learning the Ropes

For someone curious about how casino-style games work, this is a safe space. You can learn game mechanics, understand combinations, and explore features—all with zero financial stress.

But It’s Not All Flash and Fun

Despite all the perks, there are a few things to consider. Social casinos aren’t perfect. Let’s look at some of the common drawbacks:

1. No Real Rewards

While fun, these games don’t give you anything tangible. You might hit a massive virtual jackpot, but it won’t buy you a coffee. Some players get frustrated over time when they realize their efforts lead to digital coins that mean nothing outside the game.

2. Time Sink

It’s easy to lose track of time. That “just one more spin” often turns into hours. It’s harmless fun, but still something to watch.

3. Push to Purchase

Entry is free, but some platforms heavily promote in-app purchases—like coins or boosters. These optional upgrades can be tempting and add up fast.

4. Not Always Kid-Friendly

Some apps lack strong age verification. Bright graphics and flashy rewards might appeal to kids, but the games still simulate gambling mechanics. That raises some eyebrows when it comes to appropriate audiences.

Tips to Get the Most Out of It

If you’re thinking about giving free-to-play social casinos a go, here are a few ways to enjoy it responsibly:

  • Set a time limit. Decide in advance how long you want to play.
  • Skip the purchases. Stick to the free bonuses and features.
  • Invite friends. Multiplayer or social challenges can make it more fun.
  • Try different games. Don’t just stick to one slot machine—explore.
  • Keep perspective. Remember, it’s all just for fun.

These tips help you stay in control and maximize the entertainment factor without losing sight of reality.

Final Thoughts

Free-to-play social casinos offer a no-pressure space for fun, color, and quick excitement. Great for casual entertainment. They’re a digital escape where the only goal is enjoyment. Still, it’s smart to stay aware of time spent and avoid the lure of in-game purchases. Play it like a game, not like a goal. That’s the sweet spot.

Braun Strowman’s new show on USA Network to premiere on October 24

Although no longer with WWE, Braun Strowman will have a brand new show on USA Network in association with WWE.

Everything on the Menu with Braun Strowman will premiere on Friday, October 24 at 10PM ET immediately following the conclusion of Smackdown.

The show was filmed while Strowman was still with WWE and the production is credited to WWE Studios and Bright North Studios with both Strowman and Triple H listed as executive producers.

The series follows the former champ as he brings his appetite to America’s most delicious destinations, from the ultimate greasy-spoon favorites to the Michelin-starred temples of gastronomy and everything in-between, read the press release announcing the premiere date.
