John Cena can finally call himself a Grand Slam champion after he won the Intercontinental title on Raw last night in Boston.
Cena opened the show to an obvious mega pop and a red-hot crowd but Dominik Mysterio interrupted the proceedings. Mysterio told Cena he’d put him down and even though he has not reached his peak yet, he’s already better than Cena ever was in his prime.
Cena gave Dom a chance to walk out, out of respect of his father Rey, but Dom doubled down. That’s when Triple H, who was already in the ring, stepped in and made Mysterio defend the Intercontinental title against Cena right there and then.
The match had a few ref bumps and some very close calls but in the end, it was the hometown boy who won with the AA to the delight of the crowd.
The Intercontinental title is a championship that has evaded Cena throughout his career and without it he was not going to be classified as a Grand Slam champion.
John Cena will be making his final Raw appearance in Boston as an active WWE Superstar live tonight at 8PM ET on Netflix and will be kicking off the broadcast.
A healthy crowd of over 16,000 are expected at the TD Garden to bid farewell to Cena, who is from nearby West Newbury.
Four matches have been announced for the broadcast, including two championship matches, with Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair defending the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles against The Kabuki Warriors and WWE Women’s World champion Stephanie Vaquer takes on Raquel Rodriguez.
Plus, the start of The Last Time Is Now tournament with two first round matches featuring Sheamus vs Shinsuke Nakamura and Damian Priest vs Rusev.
John Cena has described tonight’s Raw as “this is definitely one to see” in a post on X hyping his last appearance in Boston on the show.
“If you can be @TDGarden tonight… GO. If you’re watching at home… do not miss one moment of it on @netflix,” he said.
There are rumors that Cena will be challenging Dominik Mysterio for the WWE Intercontinental title tonight, a championship which has evaded Cena throughout his 25-year career and a title that without it he cannot be a Grand Slam winner.
Tonight’s Raw is from the TD Garden and CM Punk uploaded a video on his Instagram Stories showing a wall inside the arena dedicated to Cena, with floor-to-ceiling images of him for every year in WWE.
Tuesday, November 18 is being declared Eddie Guerrero Day by the city of El Paso, Texas.
The event, which starts at 9AM at City Hall on N. Campbell Street, and promoted on social media by Deanna M. Rocha, City Councilwoman Office of District 3, invites wrestling fans to show up dressed in luchador masks or their favorite wrestler.
“Join us at City Council as we honor the life, legacy, and impact of Eddie Guerrero with an official proclamation,” the post says.
Eddie’s family will be on hand or this event which is also being live streamed on the city’s YouTube channel @CityofElPaso.
The city is also looking for donations to redo the Eddie Guerrero mural at Lincoln Park, name a park after the former WWE champion, and eventually build a statue.
Perhaps the most important non-title tournament in professional wrestling kicks off tonight as two first round matches of The Last Time Is Now tournament gets underway in Boston, Massachusetts.
The tournament will determine John Cena’s final opponent on December 13 at Saturday Night’s Main Event, a coveted spot many of whom would like to be in.
While the pool of opponents is huge, only 16 will have a crack of standing across the ring from Cena on his final night as an active professional wrestling, and 15 of them will come out empty handed.
Kicking things off tonight will be Sheamus vs Shinsuke Nakamura and Damian Priest vs Rusev. The tournament continues on Smackdown this Friday with The Miz vs Jey Uso and LA Knight vs a surprise opponent, an opponent who does not work for WWE.
More matches in the tournament are expected to be announced this week and the tournament then continues next Monday on Raw live from Madison Square Garden which will also be John Cena’s final Raw.
Every new year brings a fresh wave of innovation to the online casino world, but 2026 looks particularly explosive. Developers are pushing the limits of what slot games can be – fusing cinematic graphics, layered mechanics, and even cross-studio collaborations that rival mainstream gaming franchises. The coming year will see major partnerships between established giants and emerging creators, all chasing the same goal: the next hit slot that defines a generation of players.
Why 2026 Will Be a Landmark Year for Slot Innovation
After a decade of experimentation, the slot market has reached a point where creativity meets technology. In 2025, over 7,500 new slot titles were released globally, but only a few achieved the staying power of long-term favourites like Money Train 4 or Big Bass Bonanza. The difference often comes down to production scale and partnership strength – two things that are now converging more than ever before.
With studios pooling intellectual property, sharing engines, and co-developing math models, 2026 will likely bring fewer but deeper releases. The goal is no longer quantity, but quality and longevity.
Major Announced Slot Releases and Studio Collaborations for 2026
Before diving into trends, here’s a look at some of the most talked-about releases and alliances that you can see at casino Stake, already confirmed or hinted at for 2026.

Rise of Strategic Studio Partnerships
Co-development has become the new secret weapon in slot innovation. By partnering, studios combine signature mechanics, brand recognition, and production resources that allow for faster, more complex releases.
Why Collaboration Works
Two key reasons stand out: shared technology and creative crossover. Studios like Relax Gaming and Play’n GO are integrating each other’s bonus math models while retaining their own artistic styles. This results in unique titles that feel both familiar and fresh – giving players new experiences without sacrificing trust.
Meanwhile, white-label partnerships are also increasing. Smaller creative studios now collaborate with larger publishers to gain access to distribution networks and certification frameworks, ensuring their games hit regulated markets faster.
Examples of Successful 2025 Collaborations
Big Time Gaming × Evolution – Continued integration of Megaways into new live-slot hybrids.
Pragmatic Play × Reel Kingdom – Consistent rollout of fishing-themed hits with fresh mechanics.
Relax Gaming × Fantasma Games – Co-developed high-volatility adventure slots with advanced bonus triggers.
These collaborations have built the foundation for what’s coming in 2026 – a more connected ecosystem where design, storytelling, and math models overlap across studios.
Emerging Mechanics and Design Trends
Beyond partnerships, the next wave of slot releases focuses on player control and immersion. Instead of pure chance, many new titles introduce decisions and progress systems, giving users a sense of agency.
Player-Controlled Volatility
Adaptive volatility – already tested in a few 2025 releases – lets players toggle between high and low-risk modes. This concept will become mainstream in 2026, letting users choose how their session unfolds rather than being bound by static game design.
Storytelling and Persistent Worlds
ELK Studios, Yggdrasil, and Thunderkick are leading the move toward episodic slot design – games that evolve over time, storing player progress between sessions. Players can unlock new “chapters” or characters, making slots feel more like ongoing adventures than isolated spins.
Cross-Platform and Live Integration
With the growing overlap between live casino and RNG slots, several 2026 titles will include real-time audience interactions – such as shared bonus rounds or community triggers. This is part of the broader gamification trend linking streamers, influencers, and audiences into unified ecosystems.
Smaller Studios Stepping Into the Spotlight
While giants dominate the headlines, smaller developers continue to surprise players with inventive ideas and handcrafted gameplay.
Peter & Sons is working on a stylised mythological series expected to debut in mid-2026.
Octoplay is developing tap-based crash-slot hybrids for mobile audiences.
Print Studios continues to refine its precision volatility and ladder-based mechanics, offering a niche appeal for high-skill players.
Their agility and experimentation make them essential players in keeping the market dynamic and unpredictable.
What Players Can Expect in 2026
In short: fewer clones, deeper worlds, and smarter math. The slot industry is entering its most creative era yet, where innovation isn’t limited to visuals but extends to how games evolve over time. Players can expect:
Hybrid slot/live experiences with interactive community rounds.
More transparent mechanics, showing RTP and volatility ranges openly.
Expanded storytelling, including unlockable content and achievements.
Longer-lasting games that evolve through updates, not one-time releases.
As 2026 approaches, one truth is clear: the studios that collaborate will outpace those that compete in isolation. The next generation of slot innovation isn’t just about who wins the jackpot – it’s about who rewrites the rules of play.
Explaining her actions after walking out from Collision along with her partner, Nixon Newell said that the three minutes which were allocated for their match was not going to help anyone.
“After the promo that we cut, we were told to make ourselves to be a credible tag team, all this stuff,” Newell said in a stream on Twitch. “So, that’s what we did and then we decided collectively as a partnership, a couple, a tag as wrestling independently, that three minutes is going to benefit no-one in this match.”
The Welsh star said they were polite and respectful and called over their producer, telling them that they want the best for everyone and they would prefer if this three-minute opportunity would go to someone who can benefit from it as it will not work out for them.
“There was never bad blood. We spoke to everyone involved. It wasn’t a, ‘F*ck you, we’re leaving’ at all,” Newell continued.
She said that afterward, AEW gave them the permission to leave because the venue was small and they needed to make space for people who would be on the show.
She also added that she received three death threats from AEW fans ever since this incident happened on Saturday.
Mercedes Mone last night defended one of her many indie titles in Italy, successfully retaining the BestYa Wrestling Women’s title at a show in Rome, Italy.
Mone had some help from her boyfriend Beast Mortos, who made it easier for her to win the match after he speared her opponent, Queen Maya, before she tapped out to Mone’s finisher.
With the show in Rome where football, or soccer for Americans, is huge, Mone also visited the Roma women’s team and posed with a photo with the whole group. She was given a football shirt bearing her name.
Mone currently is in possession of 12 titles from around the world and is going for #13 later this week.

The man formerly known as Ridge Holland issued a statement on social media today, saying that he is shutting down the GoFundMe campaign created by one of his family members.
The Brit said that he was not aware of the campaign when it went live and had no prior discussion or approval with the family member who created it.
“I’ve since requested that no further donations be accepted, and this change should take effect within the next 24 hours,” he wrote.
He added that once he’s back working, he will donate the full amount of money raised to charity.
The GoFundMe campaign raised $10,168 at time of this writing, with donations from Chelsea Green, Omos, Nick Jackson, Kyle Fletcher, and Jinder Mahal all pitching in $1,000 each.
“I sincerely apologize if the page caused any upset or offense – that was never the intention. Thank you for your understanding and kindness,” he added.
Holland faced some criticism from fans who argued that someone who had been working for WWE for such a long time should not have found himself in that financial situation.
Rapper and huge wrestling fan Westside Gunn was kicked out of Raw this past Monday in his hometown of Buffalo, three minutes after the show started.
Gunn, who said spent $5,000 to be there, claims he got ejected for nothing and would no longer be supporting WWE.
He said that for years, nobody has spent more money for supporting and pushing WWE as a brand more than he did, sitting front row for every big show they had.
“I’ve watched that same company sit countless of ppl next to me who’s not even fans fr and act like I didn’t exist, I was threatened to take everything out of my music which I only did to pay homage or my whole catalog would be demolished,” he wrote, referring to the many wrestling references he has put in his music over the years.
“I tried having conversations with 1 individual bc he’s causing all of these unnecessary cases and tbh he hates seeing a young black successful entrepreneur that could afford those seats,” he continued. He did not mention who that one individual is.
“No lie the kid in me heart broke that day,” Gunn wrote.
He also hinted at receiving a cease and desist letter after he put up a billboard in Times Square with the “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase and Virgil, saying that DiBiase loved it, but he got a letter afterward.
“So I said u know what I’m a show love only to the ppl that show love to me from now on… so u don’t have to worry about me pushing that product over there again,” he concluded, mentioning that he will be now be focusing on his own 4THROPE company.
More seats were opened at Petco Park for the Survivor Series as tickets have now surpassed 32,000, with nearly 2,000 seats moved in the last week according to @WrestleTix.
This will be the first Survivor Series in a stadium, the last of the “big four” premium live events to get the stadium treatment.
Seats in the farthest sections of the baseball field are now being opened up to accommodate more fans. The ring is not exactly in the center of the field so these seats will require a better eyesight!
Petco Park is currently set up for 35,200 seats but if all seats are opened, which is unlikely, it could expand to around 48,400.
This Survivor Series is already the highest-grossing and will be the most-attended Survivor Series in history.
Tickets are available for purchase on Ticketmaster.com starting from $157.05. Some ringside seats are also available for $6,007.20.
Photo and autograph ops went also on sale this week. These will be held at the San Diego Convention Center Hall H.
Both Ric Flair and Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat will be appearing at the Blood and Guts broadcast this coming Wednesday live from Greensboro, North Carolina.
Both legends are very familiar with the Greensboro Coliseum where the show will be held. At this point, it looks like they will be just appearing on screen and not involved in anything.
Flair is under an AEW contract despite very rarely appearing on AEW television. Steamboat has worked multiple times for the promotion throughout the past years.
There was some drama behind the scenes last night before Collision even went on the air, with the team of Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize both walking out of the show according to a report by PWInsider.com.
The duo, who are also dating in real life, were scheduled for a match against Tay Melo and Anna Jay, a match which they were set to lose in a very short time.
PWInsider reports that around an hour before the show went on the air, Newell and Alize decided to pack their bags and head out. A report by Fightful said that while they were not expecting to win the match, they wanted more than the three minutes allocated, a request which was denied.
The two made their debut on Collision last week, losing to Marina Shafir and Megan Bayne, and there are rumors that there were even problems last week.
Newell and Alize were eventually replaced by Hyan and Maya World.
In a post on X, Alize wrote, “We have SOOOOOOOO much to say,” a message which was also re-posted by Newell.
The Blood and Guts advantages were set last night on Collision after two deciding matches.
Jamie Hayter defeated Skye Blue to get the odds even for her team earlier in the broadcast but then the deciding match had Harley Cameron taking on Thekla, which Thekla won. That means that the team of Thekla, Julia Hart, Skye Blue, Megan Bayne, Marina Shafir, and Mercedes Mone will have the numerical advantage heading into the match.
Meanwhile, the men’s Blood and Guts battle advantage was already tied with one win to each team from Dynamite and the deciding match had Jon Moxley taking on Roderick Strong. Strong won the match via a countout, securing the numerical advantage for himself, Darby Allin, Mark Briscoe, Orange Cassidy, and Kyle O’Reilly.
Lash Legend has been moved to the main roster and is now part of the Smackdown brand effective immediately.
Legend made her presence felt on Smackdown last night, interfering in he Nia Jax vs Charlotte Flair match on behalf of Jax. Legend attacked Alexa Bliss, and the distraction enabled Jax to get the upper hand on Flair and eventually win.
In a backstage segment later, Jax and Legend were interviewed together and said they are friends from their NXT encounters.
The 28-year-old Georgia native has been part of WWE since 2020 and wrestled for NXT ever since.
Kazuchika Okada will be Hiroshi Tanahashi’s final opponent at Wrestle Kingdom 20 this coming January.
Okada returned to an NJPW ring today for the first time since the New Beginning 2023 show and confronted the NJPW President after he defeated Yuto-Ice.
The current AEW Unified champion then challenged Tanahashi, first congratulating him on his retirement and hard work and then telling him not to get too tired before January 4.
There had been rumors that Shinsuke Nakamura was in the running to be Tanahashi’s final opponent but NJPW’s working relationship with AEW would have made things complicated if they went that route.
Tanahashi vs Okada will headline Wrestle Kingdom 20 at the Tokyo Dome where over 30,000 tickets have already been sold.
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority will be handing out $6 million to WWE for bringing back WrestleMania to the city next year.
The news was reported by LVSportsBiz.com, saying that the LVCVA board will be meeting next week to approve the payment and also approve the payment of $1.25 million for the authority to purchase tickets for the 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix to hand out to sponsors and customers.
The agenda item for the meeting has the following “purpose and background” description for WrestleMania to okay the $6 million payment.
“For the second year in a row, Las Vegas will serve as the stage for WWE’s premier event, marking the first time any city has hosted back-to-back WrestleManias since 1989. In 2025, WrestleMania 41 attracted 124,000 fans to Allegiant Stadium and generated more than 140,000 estimated incremental room nights tied to the weeklong series of WWE events. In addition to the two-night Allegiant stadium event that will take place April 18-19, 2026, WWE will bring Raw, SmackDown, NXT Stand & Deliver, WWE World and the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony to Las Vegas, as well as a variety of community outreach events designed to give back to Southern Nevada.”
WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre was suspended indefinitely by Smackdown General Manager Nick Aldis yesterday after he interfered in the main event of the show.
McIntyre’s obsession with Rhodes continued last night, with the Scotsman dropping Rhodes with a Claymore Kick during his match against Aleister Black. Eventually, Damian Priest joined the party to even the odds for the champion.
Aldis then appeared and argued with McIntyre, with McIntyre telling the GM that his back was against the wall. McIntyre was then suspended for his actions.
The suspension is a way to write off McIntyre from television as he prepares to film the Highlander movie.
