El Paso declaring November 18 as Eddie Guerrero Day with official event

Tuesday, November 18 is being declared Eddie Guerrero Day by the city of El Paso, Texas.

The event, which starts at 9AM at City Hall on N. Campbell Street, and promoted on social media by Deanna M. Rocha, City Councilwoman Office of District 3, invites wrestling fans to show up dressed in luchador masks or their favorite wrestler.

“Join us at City Council as we honor the life, legacy, and impact of Eddie Guerrero with an official proclamation,” the post says.

Eddie’s family will be on hand or this event which is also being live streamed on the city’s YouTube channel @CityofElPaso.

The city is also looking for donations to redo the Eddie Guerrero mural at Lincoln Park, name a park after the former WWE champion, and eventually build a statue.
