Full Great Balls of Fire betting odds for tonight

If bookies are correct, all those who are currently champions will walk out of the American Airlines Center at Great Balls of Fire still champions tonight as odds all favor the reigning champions. Odds could, and are most likely to change by the time the pay-per-view starts at 8PM EST.

If you are going to place any bets, be careful when and where to place bets and make sure you read bookmakers reviews first.

As reported yesterday, Brock Lesnar remains the clear favorite to win his match against Samoa Joe and retain the WWE Universal title. Lesnar is at 1/12 while the odds for Joe are at 6/1. Some websites are even offering method of win, as in pinfall or submission, how many F5s or suplexes Lesnar will deliver, and match duration.

In other title matches, Alexa Bliss is at 1/9 to retain the title and Sasha Banks is at 5/1 for the upset. Sheamus and Cesaro are also favorites to retain the Raw Tag Team titles with odds at 1/12 while The Hardy Boyz are at 6/1. These are the same odds like the Lesnar/Joe match. The Miz is at 1/10 to retain the Intercontinental title while Dean Ambrose is at 11/2.

In the ambulance match, Braun Strowman is 1/8 favorite and Roman Reigns seems like he’s going to take a ride with odds at 9/2 against him. Perhaps a surprise, Enzo Amore is a favorite at 7/1 to win and Big Cass is at a far 1/14. And lastly, former WWE champion Bray Wyatt is at 1/6 for the win while Seth Rollins is at 7/2. Interestingly enough, there are no odds offered for the Cruiserweight title match between Neville and Akira Tozawa which is part of the Kickoff show.

Alberto El Patron invites Triple H and rap battle “pussies” to his restaurant on Tuesday

Alberto El Patron was not happy when his soon-to-be wife was brought in as part of the rap battle that happened last week on Smackdown, and now the current GFW champion is inviting everyone involved to come to his restaurant next week when Smackdown hits San Antonio.

The invite however was not a very cordial one and it looks like El Patron is ready to fight. “Tuesday next week a bunch of pussies will be there in San Antonio. The man with the big nose and no balls but also the pussies from the rap battle will be too.. also with no balls. Like their boss. All yes men,” he wrote in a post on Instagram. “I’ll be in my restaurant. Starting at 10 pm. I’ll be waiting for you there.”

During the rap battle, The Usos told Big E to keep it PG unlike his partner Xavier Woods who was the Rated-R. Woods was in one of the videos leaked having a threesome with Paige during her NXT days. The comment got a big “Ooooooooh” from the crowd.

“And after I beat the sh!t out of you, I’ll buy you a drink. Just because I’m a good man,” he concluded.

El Patron owns a restaurant called La Cantinita in San Antonio at 17776 Blanco Road, around 18 miles away from the AT&T Center where Smackdown will be.

Impact tapings wrap up in Orlando, next ones set for August

Impact wrapped up a set of television tapings this week in Orlando, Florida at the Impact Zone in Universal Studios, tapings that will take the company through mid August. Work started on July 2 with Slammiversary and then tapings continued till July 6.

The next set of television tapings will start on Thursday, August 17 and run through Sunday, August 20. The August 17 taping will be the “live” Impact on POP TV.

The month of August will be a bit more busier than usual for those involved with the company as for the first time in years, there will be non-televised live events held on August 4, 5, and 6 at Long Island, Staten Island, and Bridgeport respectively.

Current betting odds for tomorrow’s main event for the WWE Universal title

It should not come as a big surprise but current WWE Universal champion Brock Lesnar is the overwhelming favorite to win and retain his title tomorrow night against Samoa Joe at Great Balls of Fire on the WWE Network.

The early odds put Lesnar at 1/12 and his opponent at a distant 6/1. Just to give you an idea, betting $1 on Lesnar to win will get you $1.08 while betting the same on Joe will get you $7. Odds are most likely to change, although unlikely to shift big unless something happens over the next 24 hours.

Several websites are offering slightly different betting numbers, but the odds are pretty much the same and all favor Lesnar. Betting websites also offer different online games such as the Main Event Mega Moolah slot.

The plan for SummerSlam still revolves around Roman Reigns taking on Brock Lesnar but the feud between Samoa Joe and the champion has been well received and it would not be a surprise if Joe finds himself involved as well. The former NXT champion already got the upper hand on Lesnar a couple of times on Raw.

Dixie Carter interviewed for WWE 24: Kurt Angle, airing next week

On Monday after Raw, the WWE Network will air the WWE 24: Kurt Angle special that was filmed throughout several weeks when it was announced that Angle, now a Hall of Famer, is coming back to the company.

Perhaps one of the most surprising individuals who will be part of this WWE 24 special is Dixie Carter, the former TNA President who later sold the company to Anthem Sports & Entertainment. WWE cameras went to Dixie Carter’s house to film her portion of the interview and WWE.COM even posted a photo of Carter in front of the camera to push the premiere of the episode.

Dixie Carter gave Kurt Angle a job after he was released from his WWE contract back in 2006 but most importantly, helped saving his life after multiple bouts with alcohol and drug addiction by sending him to rehab. Throughout the years, Carter never spoke bad about Angle and vice versa and the two share a great amount of respect towards each other.

You can catch WWE 24: Kurt Angle on the WWE Network this coming Monday immediately following Monday Night Raw. You can subscribe to the WWE Network for free by going to http://w-o.it/wwentwrk.

AJ Styles wins the United States title at house show in Madison Square Garden

It does not happen very often but last night during WWE’s return to Madison Square Garden, the company pulled the trigger on a title change as AJ Styles defeated Kevin Owens in a non-televised live event.

Styles won a title rematch for the U.S. title by winning the Independence Day battle royal on Smackdown earlier this week, guaranteeing a shot at Kevin Owens’ title at the upcoming Battleground pay-per-view. But for whatever reason, WWE decided to make the title switch early, giving the fans at MSG a nice surprise.

AJ won the title after delivering the Phenomenal Forearm half-way across the ring and then pinning Owens immediately. Earlier in the match, Owens survived the Styles Clash.

The title win is featured on WWE.COM and there’s also a backstage video of Styles talking about his match.

You can watch the title win below.

Austin Aries released from WWE

Austin Aries was released from WWE late yesterday afternoon, a news that caught many, if not everyone, by surprise.

“WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Superstar Austin Aries. WWE wishes Aries the best in all of his future endeavors,” a statement on WWE.COM read.

Dave Meltzer of the Observer reports that it was Aries himself who asked for his release with details surrounding his decision still unknown. It is believed that he was not happy being part of 205 Live only although those are just rumors.

Aries joined NXT in the beginning of 2016 and made his first televised appearance in March. After suffering an orbital socket injury later in the year, Aries joined the commentary booth doing color for 205 Live and Main Event. He eventually moved to 205 Live permanently from NXT when he was cleared to return and spent most of the year chasing the Cruiserweight title, a title he never managed to get his hands on.

His last WWE televised appearance was on the June 20 edition of 205 Live.

Security firm uncovers WWE databases in big leak affecting over 3 million customers

Forbes published an article yesterday revealing that over 3 million names, e-mails, addresses, phone numbers, and other information found on a WWE database online were leaked.

The database, hosted on Amazon’s AWS service, was stored in plain text and not password protected, allowing anyone who knows how to access certain URLs full access to the PII data. It was security firm Kromtech who uncovered the database vulnerability and managed to get a copy of the whole thing.

It’s not known from which department the database came from but Forbes said it included the same details for customers of the WWE Network. Another WWE database on the same Amazon hosting service contained info primarily on European fans, though the information contained only addresses, telephone numbers and names.

WWE issued a statement replying to Forbes’ story stating, “Although no credit card or password information was included, and therefore not at risk, WWE is investigating a potential vulnerability of a database housed on a third party platform. In today’s data-driven world, large companies store information on third party platforms, and unfortunately have been subject to similar vulnerabilities. WWE utilizes leading cybersecurity firms to proactively protect our customer data.”

Bret Hart remembers his brother Smith following his death

In a message on Facebook, Bret “Hit Man” Hart thanked the fans for the love and support that they showed over the past couple of days due to his brother’s death. His brother, Smith, passed away from prostate and bone cancer a month after going into hospice.

“It is with a heavy heart that I write my final goodbye to my eldest brother Smith. I know that the gates of heaven will open up and welcome one of the most unique and original characters ever,” Bret wrote.

Describing Smith as sensitive, mischievous, and hilariously coarse with a whip-smart sense of humour, Bret said that his brother was a boy that grew up in a crazy world filled with colourful characters and he ended up being one of the most interesting and colorful characters himself.

“It could never have been very easy being the oldest of twelve kids. The enormous task of trying to fill my stern father’s shoes may have been too challenging, or perhaps he simply didn’t want or need it,” Bret added. “In Smith’s final days, I clearly recognized the strength and determination of my father who he spoke so lovingly about and, without question, was his hero and guardian. I believe they’re together again. He finally found his peace.”

Smith passed away on July 2 which also happened to be Bret’s birthday.
