The second match to be contested inside the Hell In A Cell was announced last night on Smackdown with The New Day defending their Smackdown Tag Team titles against The Usos.
The feud between the two has been going on pretty much ever since The New Day moved to Smackdown Live from Raw earlier this year and the two teams traded the titles a couple of times.
Thew New Day got their hands on the Smackdown titles at Battleground earlier this year but lost them back to The Usos at SummerSlam. They eventually regained them during the Sin City Smackdown earlier this month in a street fight.
This is not the first time that a tag team match will take place inside the Hell In A Cell structure. It’s the fourth one, following The Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Mankind and Kane, DX vs Mr McMahon, Shane McMahon, and Big Show, and DX vs Legacy.
The 2017 Hell In A Cell card currently features seven matches, and joining this tag team match are Mahal vs Nakamura for the WWE title, Shane vs Kevin Owens inside HIAC, Natalya vs Charlotte for the Women’s title, AJ Styles vs Baron Corbin for the US title, Roode vs Ziggler, and Orton vs Rusev.
A recap Kevin Owens’ rivalry with the McMahon Family plays.

Kevin Owens’ music plays and he saunters to the ring. Tom Phillips, Corey Graves, and Byron Saxton are at the commentary table; Graves and Phillips wonder what Kevin will do at Hell In A Cell in his Hell In The Cell Match against Shane McMahon on October 8.
In the ring, Owens inquires where Commissioner Shane McMahon is and says he has been named a “coward” for his attack on Owner Vince McMahon two weeks ago on Smackdown! and also not showing up in the ring last week on Smackdown! Kevin ponders if Shane is the real “coward” but also totes his admiration for Vince. “You saw what I did to someone I actually like and respect (Vince), so imagine what I’ll do to a man I don’t. (Shane)”
Sami Zayn’s music plays and he joins Owens in the ring. He questions Kevin on his mindset; he wants to bring Owens back to Earth. “You need to get a grip and Kevin, you need to stop right now.” Owens tries to convince Zayn that all is well with his head, and then dresses Sami down for not accomplishing as much as he has. Zayn retorts angrily, and then General Manager Daniel Bryan interrupts. He says Shane may or may not be here, but since Zayn is, he and Kevin will wrestle tonight!
Up next, Tye Dillinger takes on Baron Corbin.

Corbin is in control, kicking out of an inside cradle and then dropping Dillinger with a chokeslam-backbreaker. (Note; A.J. is now on commentary.) Tye fights back with a superkick and knee but only gets two! They both go to the floor where Dillinger shoves him into the steps. Back in the ring, he tries the Tye-Breaker, but Baron wiggles out of it and goes to the announcer’s table. Aiden English is in the ring, along with The Mayor of the town where Rusev is from. Aiden sings the Bulgarian National Anthem as Rusev walks to the ring happily. The Mayor gives Rusev a “key to the city,” and declares “September the 26th ‘Rusev Day.’”
Rusev holds the key high and speaks in Bulgarian to The Mayor. He then recalls – with video – his short defeat of Randy Orton from last week’s Smackdown! Live. He names himself “The Lion of Bulgaria,” and dubs Smackdown! Live his “jungle.” English sings a new tune for “Rusev Day.” Randy suddenly enters the ring and R.K.O.’s both Aiden and Rusev!

Match #3: Single – Charlotte VS. “Ms. Money In The Bank” Carmella (with James Ellsworth – on a leash!)
They shove each other to begin, and then Charlotte kicks away. She goes to the middle turnbuckle, but James distracts and Carmella flips Charlotte from the corner!

Carmella is still governing, stomping away at Charlotte in the corner. Charlotte elbows back, but is twirled around with a headscissors! She almost takes this, and then wears Charlotte down with a rear chinlock. Carmella goes to the top turnbuckle and dives off with a crossbody for two! She drops her with a reverse-DDT, but Charlotte still gets her shoulder up!
Carmella becomes frustrated and kicks Charlotte in the face. They O’Connor Rolls, and then Charlotte hits Carmella in the face with a boot! She covers to receive the victory!
Winner via Pinfall: Carmella (with James Ellsworth – on a leash!)
Post-match, Women’s Champion Natalya comes out on stage and warns that Charlotte’s father – Ric Flair – will “watch his overrated daughter fail” at Hell In A Cell.

The lights go out and a familiar gong sounds! The music and video of The Undertaker plays, but….it is Dolph Ziggler in “The Deadman’s” attire. He mocks Undertaker’s entire entrance and then takes a microphone in the ring. “What?! You look like you see a ghost.” The fans loudly chant “you suck!” He continues his rant about comparing his athletic ability to the stars that use showmanship.
The lights go out again and this time it is… “GLORIOUS!” Bobby Roode struts to the ring with a microphone in hand. Bobby credits Ziggler for his in-ring skills, but calls him a “hypocrite” since he continually berates the audience for their alliances with wrestlers. Roode challenges Dolph to show him those skills at Hell In A Cell; Ziggler begrudgingly accepts.

Match #4: Single – Sami Zayn VS. Kevin Owens
They go right at each other with fierce punches. Owens whips Sami into the ropes and then hits a hard elbow and some kicks. He Cannonball-Splashes Zayn and then hits him against the barricade. He runs at Sami in the ring, but “The Underdog From The Underground” hits a clothesline! Owens puts Zayn to the floor but is hit with another clothesline as he ran at Sami!
We go backstage where Shane McMahon enters and is marching forward!

Kevin regains control after a superkick and almost takes this with a cover! Zayn soon counters with a Tornado-DDT, and then hops out of a Pop-Up Powerbomb attempt! Sami spins Owens around with his Blue Thunder Bomb, but can’t get the win! Kevin goes to the outside, but Zayn follows up with a swanton-dive over the ropes!
He goes for his DDT through the corner, but Owens counters with a superkick and then powerbombs him on the ring apron! Referee Charles Robinson calls for the bell.
Winner: None due to referee stoppage.
Post-match, paramedics run out and aide Sami to his feet. Zayn can’t stand properly, so they hold him up and walk to the ramp. Kevin runs around and hits Sami and the paramedics from behind. He collects a chair and puts it around Zayn’s neck, but then Shane’s music plays. He stares down Kevin and then they charge at each other, but Owens hurls Sami into McMahon! Kevin hightails it to the upper levels in the crowd, and Shane and him point and mouth at each other to close the show.
When a new WWE video game comes out, 2K does all the motion capturing with one or two individuals to mimic the moves of every WWE Superstar.
While each WWE Superstar has to sit down for the 3D face scan, it would be impossible for them to each do their own motion capture for the moves. But Shane McMahon wanted to do his own motion capturing for WWE 2K18 and 2K were more than happy to oblige.
The Smackdown Commissioner flew to the 2K studio in the Bay Area so the game developers can capture his authentic moves. Shane said that the move was inspired after his kids told him that he “moves a little differently” in the games.
“The facility and how they do the motion capture is pretty cool,” Shane said. “So you get in this frog suit with sensors all over the place, you wear a hat…it’s pretty warm in the suit!” But that did not stop Shane O’Mac from hitting his signature moves including the flying elbow, five or six Shooting Star Presses to get the exact move down, the coast-to-coast, and his entrance of course!
Shane joked that he tried to convince the 2K guys to juice up his levels so he becomes unbeatable in the game! You can see a video of Shane doing his own motion capturing below.
The post-No Mercy Raw got only a tiny bump in the numbers last night, with 2,923,000 viewers tuning in on average, up 90,000 viewers from last week.
Raw opened with 3,121,000 viewers, then went down to 3,081,000 for the second hour, before plunging to 2,568,000 viewers for the third and final hour. From hour one to three Raw lost 553,000 viewers along the way.
The show faced some stiff competition from the NFL with 13.6 million viewers and many season premieres, two of which did over 17 million viewers. Dancing With The Stars featuring Nikki Bella did 8.66 million viewers.
Raw was #4, #5, and #6 on the top 50 cable chart among the 18-49 demographic. (Ratings credit: Showbuzzdaily.com)
John Cena’s time away from WWE continues to increase as Deadline.com reported today that Universal Pictures acquired a buddy cop comedy movie which has John Cena and Kumail Nanjiani attached to it.
The yet-to-be titled flick is the work of Ruben Fleischer, David Bernad and Murray Miller. Fleischer is set to direct and will produce alongside Bernad through their Universal Television-based production company The District. Miller will write the script.
There’s no information on the movie yet except that Universal outbid other competitors to get their hands on it.
With just over a month to go, pre-sale tickets for the Bound For Glory pay-per-view will be available tomorrow at 10AM ET.
Tickets for the television tapings that will follow BFG will also go on sale at the same time. Impact will tape for five consecutive nights, taping all the episodes of the company’s flagship show through the end of 2017.
The pre-sale codes will be distributed through Impact’s social network accounts and two different VIP packages will also be sold through ShopImpact.com. Tickets will be available at http://bit.ly/2vSWKxz.
BFG will take place from the Aberdeen Pavilion in Ontario, Canada on November 5.
The Bullet Club took out a page from the DX handbook and decided to “invade” Monday Night Raw last night.
Cody, Marty Scurll, Hangman, and The Young Bucks – joined by Cody’s wife Brandi – hired a very long Hummer limo and imitated DX – complete with the same script – when they invaded Nitro with a tank.
Several fans then joined in as they marched to Raw. The whole thing was a spoof, with even Cody narrating the speech from the Independence Day movie.
The idea came up as the BC members were at a Hot Topic outlet doing signings just one mile away from the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California where Raw was being taped.
Everything was caught on camera for an episode of Being The Elite on YouTube which you can see below.
Nikki Bella survived the start of week 2 on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars, getting 21 points – 7 from each judge – for her Waltz dance with her professional dance partner Artem Chigvintsev.
The duo danced to “Come Away with Me” by Norah Jones. Charlotte Flair cheered on from the sidelines.
For the second night of Week 2, the two danced to “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi featuring Daddy Yankee and scored 18 – 6 from each judge. They had the lowest scoring dance but survived the cut.
Nikki and Artem are currently in seventh place overall with 59 points, 11 points off the top spot with an average of 19.7.
Enzo Amore might be the Cruiserweight champion but last night on Raw was not a very good night for the “Certified G.”
After cameras stopped rolling, a pissed off Braun Strowman marched down to the ring an annihilated Enzo with a vicious power slam. On the way out of the ring, Strowman stepped on Enzo’s body and when he exited the ring, the entire cruiserweight division stepped in to continue the assault. Many of the guys hit their finishing move as Enzo ended up the night face down with the cruiserweights mocking him.
Earlier in the night, Enzo ran down the whole roster and that was followed by Neville beating him up as the 205 Live crew all got cheers while Enzo got booed.
Enzo is not liked at all backstage and has major heat with many in the back. The ending of Raw last night was pretty evident in tackling that issue.
WWE’s Maria Kanellis announced on Instagram today that she is 13 weeks pregnant with her first baby.
“The Power of Love is Strong…..And BABY makes 3. Mike and I are happy to announce I am 13 weeks pregnant!! Life is what happens when you are making other plans. This is the universe’s plan for us,” Maria wrote.
She explained that they tried to have a baby last year when both had a lighter schedule but nothing happened and this time around they decided to put those plans on hold, “but apparently that is not what is meant to be and we are so happy for our new path,” she wrote.
Maria said that WWE is her dream job and she plans on coming back after getting doctor’s approval and after the baby is born.
Maria and Mike have been off television for around a month although Mike has been wrestling at non-televised events, without his wife by his side.
Jeff Hardy received the worst possible news after he was diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff, requiring surgery and a long rehab process to fix the problem according to WWE.COM.
Hardy suffered the injury during the six-pack challenge on Raw last week.
“Jeff is dealing with a rotator cuff tear right now,” WWE Senior Ringside Physician Dr. Stephen Daquino told WWE.COM. “It’s a full thickness tear of his supraspinatus tendon and a couple of other areas in the shoulder. He’s going to go for evaluation and probably for surgery next week.”
Hardy added that he also tore his labrum and that he initially thought he dislocated his shoulder during the match.
“Once they get in there, they’ll figure out more about what they have to repair,” said Hardy. “But for sure, the rotator cuff has to be repaired, and then they’ll look at the labrum when they get in there.”
The surgery is expected to take place on October 3 and rehab takes up to 9 months. However, with the long process to get back in the ring looming, Hardy told WWE.COM that he plans on being around doing other things.
“There’s a lot of crazy ideas,” said Hardy. “It inspires me to think a lot more about what I can do other than the extreme stunts and still be entertaining.”
An emotional John Cena appeared on Raw Talk after No Mercy ended on the WWE Network to discuss his match and what’s next for him.
Cena made it look like he’ll be gone for quite a while after his match, receiving a standing ovation from the crowd and then giving them the salute before heading backstage.
“It was a very emotional night. Having done a lot of these and having been in a lot of situations, and being in the same building where I jumped in the crowd after I won my first championship…ah…it’s…it’s cool,” Cena said as he fought back tears.
With Lawler patting Cena’s back, Cena continued. “No man, it’s cool, it’s alright, it’s just a…transition. Transition is tough but uh, it’s wonderful.”
With Hollywood knocking on his door more often, Cena’s time in WWE is very limited now and there will be less screen time for the leader of the Cenation on WWE television except for big pay-per-views such as WrestleMania.
A date has finally been confirmed for the arrival of the Empress of Tomorrow, with Asuka making her main roster debut at the Tables, Ladders, and Chairs pay-per-view on October 22.
The former NXT Women’s champion has been out of in-ring action since the day after NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III. At Takeover: Brooklyn III she successfully defended the title against Ember Moon but suffered a broken collarbone in the process. At the following NXT television tapings, Asuka relinquished the title to NXT General Manager William Regal, ending her 523-day title reign undefeated.
The Japanese star is the 7th longest reigning champion in WWE history.
It looks like John Cena will be taking another extended time off from WWE following his loss to Roman Reigns at No Mercy.
The former 16-time World champion delivered four Attitude Adjustments to Reigns, but Reigns managed to kick out of all of them. On the other hand, Reigns just needed a Superman punch and a spear to put Cena out for the clean victory.
After the match, Cena raised Reigns’ hand in the middle of the ring, a gesture which the WWE Universe didn’t really like. After Reigns walked out, Cena stayed in the ring to get a standing ovation from the Los Angeles crowd and a “Thank you Cena” chant.
Cena has been cast as one of the lead actors in the Transformers spinoff movie Bumblebee. Filming for the movie has already started so it seems that he will be joining the cast and crew to start his side of the filming.
Cesaro might be the Swiss superman but he ended up walking out of the STAPLES Center without his front teeth!
The former tag team title holder was busted up the hard way during his match after his two front teeth were knocked out. True to his superman nickname, Cesaro soldiered on and worked the majority of the match with his mouth full of blood. Sheamus and Cesaro eventually lost the match to the reigning champions.
After the match, Cesaro posted a photo smiling with Sheamus pointing at his missing teeth. He decided to undergo for the dental treatment from Summit Smiles. They suggested for the teeth implants. Teeth implants саn act a replacement option іf уоu hаvе аlwауѕ maintained a good oral health аnd hаvе lost a tooth оr a set оf teeth. It соuld bе bесаuѕе оf a periodontal disease, a failure іn surgery оr еvеn іn аn accident. Thе teeth implants саn replace a set оf teeth easily аnd саn act just like thе natural teeth.
Thе tooth implants аrе truly advantageous. Thеу саn help tо save thе teeth іn a better wау thаn thе mоrе traditional bridgework. Thіѕ іѕ bесаuѕе thеу dо nоt require a support frоm thе neighboring teeth like thе bridgework.
Alѕо thе teeth implants look exactly like thе natural teeth аnd еvеn feel thе ѕаmе. Alѕо thеѕе implants integrate іntо thе bone structure; hеnсе thеу саn еvеn help tо prevent thе loss оf bone аѕ wеll аѕ thе recession оf thе gums thаt usually accompany thе dentures аnd thе bridgework.
Thе dental implants make sure thаt nоbоdу knows thаt уоu hаvе a replacement tooth. Alѕо thе neighboring teeth dо nоt hаvе tо bе altered tо support аn implant like іn thе case оf bridging. “This is not over. Still #TheBar.”
The last one to get their teeth knocked out was Natalya, who tweeted her toothless picture along with that of Cesaro. “I’ve so been there!!!” she wrote.
Here are the results from No Mercy 2017 which took place from the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, California live on the WWE Network.
Elias defeated Apollo Crews in the Kickoff match; The Miz defeated Jason Jordan to retain the Intercontinental title; Finn Balor defeated Bray Wyatt; Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins defeated Sheamus and Cesaro to retain the Raw Tag Team titles; Alexa Bliss defeated Nia Jax, Bayley, Sasha Banks, and Emma to retain the Raw Women’s title; Roman Reigns defeated John Cena; Enzo Amore defeated Neville to become the new Cruiserweight champion; Brock Lesnar defeated Braun Strowman to retain the WWE Universal title.
Magnum: Hello everybody! I’M BACK, JACK. It’s @TheMagnumDA returning to Wrestling-Online to write this month’s WWE PPV Pick’Em Report. I’ll be writing these PPV Pick’Em reports for the foreseeable future instead of Monday Night Raw. I had some scheduling conflicts come up on Mondays, but Colin was gracious enough to let me continue to write when I finally had a free moment…the weekend! 😀 In addition to giving you tonight’s card, I’ll be joined by the nefarious Tricky Don and W-O’s very own Colin Vassallo. Colin, thanks for keeping me onboard, brother. See you in New Orleans! Anything else before we get started?
Tricky Don: Well it’s that time again for Tricky Don to see into the future and tell you who will win at No Mercy. So Magnum and Colin, ya listen to me, you’ll go to the top! You don’t listen to me, you’re never heard from again!
Magnum: Nice Bobby Heenan reference…WrestleMania VI, if I’m not mistaken. May he rest in peace. One of the greatest performers of all-time (he did it all…Manager, Commentator, Wrestler, Host). Off we go!
WWE Intercontinental Championship Match
The Miz (c) vs. Jason Jordan
Tricky Don: The Miz who is a soon to be father versus Jason Jordan who just found out he has a dad. Both will be celebrating father’s day next year, so they have that in common. It feels like they have been teasing putting the strap on Jordan for a while but had him take some big losses to top contenders and now see him in the light of the top competitors. You will see a good match, but towards the end you will see the ring get messy with all of the Miztourage in the match. But you don’t need a vacuum cleaner out here: Jason Jordan will be cleaning house himself. I got baby Angle for the win and new Intercontinental Champion.
Winner: Jason Jordan
Magnum: I think that The Miz could lose the title, and win it back very quickly for an eighth title reign. So this is the perfect opportunity to give Jordan the shot in the arm he needs. I’m taking the upset.
Winner: Jason Jordan
Colin: My timer is on waiting for them to pull the plug on the Jason Jordan experiment. He does nothing for me as a singles wrestler. The Miz continues his reign as IC champ.
Winner: The Miz
WWE Women’s Championship (Raw) Fatal Five Way
Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Sasha Banks vs. Bayley vs. Nia Jax vs. Emma
Tricky Don: My prediction is that they will team up against Nia early on, and she will be sent to the back with an injury. Asuka will come out and take out the other 4. This match will end in a no contest.
Winner: No Contest
Magnum: Wow, a No Contest? If I’m not mistaken, there must be a winner. I could see Asuka showing up to challenge the winner, though. Wouldn’t that be quite the set-up. For now, I’ll take Alexa to retain.
Winner: Alexa Bliss
Colin: I’d like to think that Bayley would have gone on to win the title at SummerSlam if it wasn’t for her injury. I really like Bliss as the champ, I wasn’t high on her in the past, but she really gives it her all. And she looks pretty damn good too with the title. Bliss wins.
Winner: Alexa Bliss
WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match
Neville (c) vs. Enzo Amore
Tricky Don: I feel they have to have Enzo go over and win the belt. This will draw in viewers to 205 live, since not a lot of people are currently tuning in. Enzo will be the 2nd person to get out of the dog house, since the Miz is the only one so far. Enzo will get his first taste of gold, and you can’t teach that.
Winner: Enzo
Magnum: This feels like an Enzo victory, but that doesn’t mean he’ll win the title. I’m going to say Neville gets himself DQ’ed somehow.
Winner: Enzo by DQ
Colin: If Enzo has all the heat they’re saying, then I don’t expect him to win the title. Surely, someone who has major backstage heat would not be rewarded with a title, right? And Neville is really good as the champ.
Winner: Neville
Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt
Tricky Don: Great, another match in this feud. It feels like a placeholder for both superstars. We have the eater of worlds from Snake Bight, Florida versus the demon king, or maybe just Finn this time. Have you ever been to Snake Bight? The city limits signs are on the same post. I heard a rumor that Bray’s mom and dad ran away from home. With the 50/50 booking in the WWE this match will go against Balor, since he defeated Wyatt at SummerSlam. I see Wyatt pulling his family back together to help him get the win. After this Finn will have to start the Balor Club for Survivor Series and New Japan fans will finally be happy.
Winner: Bray Wyatt
Magnum: Yeah, I’m really not sure where all of this is going. I think Balor needs a fresh start and a new dance partner. The matches are good, but I kinda see Don’s point: This feels like a place holder. I think that Balor will take this one, leading to one final chapter.
Winner: Finn Balor
Colin: Meh, really not interested in this one to be honest. If they will keep going on with this feud, Wyatt wins, if they’re killing it, Balor wins. 50/50 on this one, I’d say Wyatt.
Winner: Bray Wyatt
WWE Tag Team Championship (Raw)
Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins (c) vs. Cesaro and Sheamus
Tricky Don: No Mercy 1999 paved the way for tag teams and ladder matches, when the Hardys took on Edge and Christian in the first ever tag team ladder match. Although this tag team match will not live up to the match of ’99, it should be a good one still. I do not think Sheamus and Cesaro will get there win back from dropping the titles at SummerSlam.
Winners: Rollins and Ambrose
Magnum: Okay, just so we’re clear, this isn’t a ladder match. It’s a straight up tag match, and I don’t see Ambrose or Rollins getting pinned by Sheamus or Cesaro on big-time PPV. I think the Shield reunion continues, with a long reign that could take us into the winter.
Winners: Rollins and Ambrose
Colin: The day 2/3 of The Shield loses the titles will be the day when Dean turns on Seth. It’s gotta happen. Not at No Mercy. They will probably try to milk this as much as they can before they pull the trigger. Dean/Seth for the W.
Winners: Rollins and Ambrose
John Cena vs. Roman Reigns
Tricky Don: You both suck! You both suck! This is what the crowd first chanted when they faced off on Raw for the first time. I think Cena will put over Reigns, since Cena is part time status. Since Reigns cannot get over as a face, put him with Cena since both of them will get boed. This will give the bookers confidence, since Reigns might got a couple of cheers… so they can feel they made the right choice putting him in the main event at WrestleMania.
Winner: Roman Reigns
Magnum: I have loved these promos. I think we’ve seen a new side of Roman Reigns, but this will lead to bigger and better things. The big dog takes it.
Winner: Roman Reigns
Colin: I can’t believe they’re putting this on a B show. Again. Always thought this would main event WrestleMania one day. I thought Cena would be going away to film Bumblebee after SummerSlam, but he continued. Reigns is the heavy favorite so I’ll go with him, but for sure, no matter who wins, there will be round 2.
Winner: Roman Reigns
WWE Universal Championship Match
Brock Lesnar (c) (with Paul Heyman) vs. Braun Strowman
Tricky Don: On Raw, the announcers said Lesnar is going into the match as the underdog for the first time. The announcers must have forgot that Lesnar took on the Undertaker in 2002 and 2003 at No Mercy during his rookie year, and he won both of them. Eat, Sleep, Retain the belt so he can defend it against Reigns at WrestleMania, Repeat. Lesnar will go on to win the match, and his No Mercy Streak will grow to 3 – 0.
Winner: Brock Lesnar
Magnum: I do see Lesnar vs. Reigns II coming down the pike, but that said…I think there’s something in the works here with Braun Strowman. For some reason, I think they will have a two-match series where the title switches hands on both occasions. Since this is Chapter One…
Winner: Braun Strowman (New Universal Champion)
Colin: I can’t believe they’re putting this on a B show. Strowman is quite on a roll at the moment, but I think his time might not be just here yet. Maybe Survivor Series? I’m gonna go with Brock for this one.
Winner: Brock Lesnar

Hulk Hogan will be on FOX News Channel’s OBJECTified tonight starting at 8PM ET where he will be talking with host Harvey Levin about the trial – and victory – against Gawker Media.
The Hulkster will be discussing a variety of subjects apart from the trial, including the near suicide, his wrestling career, and his fall from the WWE after the racist audio tape came out.
Hogan won a $140 million judgment after a jury found Gawker, its CEO and Founder Nick Denton, and former editor A.J. Daurelio guilty in the lawsuit brought forward by Hogan over the publication of the sex tape. The lawsuit was secretly funded by PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel. Eventually, Hogan settled for $31 million in cash plus a percentage of the proceeds from the sale of the company according to documents filed in court.
The whole trial and events that led to the trial is part of Wrestling-Online.com’s Timeline: The Hulk Hogan Sex Tape Scandal feature.
You can see a preview of tonight’s interview below.
It looks like “The American Nightmare” will be calling Ring of Honor home as the man formerly known as Cody Rhodes announced that he has signed a multi-year domestic-exclusive deal with ROH.
The deal calls for him to wrestle only for Ring of Honor while in the United States but allows him to appear at other promotions internationally.
The news of the contract came via a press release before the Ring of Honor shows in Las Vegas. The current ROH champion received “the most generous offer in Ring of Honor history,” and offer which the Hardy Boyz alluded to earlier this year after they bounced from TNA.
“When Cody first started competing in ROH, we knew we wanted him to be exclusive, but respected his wishes to try out the rest of the industry. Finalizing this deal is another big step in his career and a great step in the continued development of the Ring of Honor brand, delivering the best, real professional wrestling to a rapidly growing and the most passionate fanbase around the world,” said Ring of Honor General Manager Greg Gilleland.
A few days ago, Michael PS Hayes invited Cody to team up with his brother Goldust for the Starrcade event on November 25 to honor their father.
