Brock Lesnar’s scheduled appearance on Monday Night Raw last night did not happen despite the fact that he was advertised for weeks that he would be there and even advertised on WWE.COM for a face-to-face showdown with Roman Reigns during the day.
But the Universal champion and his advocate, Paul Heyman, were missing in action and according to PWInsider.com, the duo were nowhere to be seen throughout the day suggesting that they did not travel to the show.
PWInsider adds that Raw’s script featured a segment between all three for the second hour of the broadcast but instead, Reigns was left to fend for his own, cutting a passionate promo and burying Lesnar for not showing up. That went over with the fans for a second, although Reigns was booed during the Raw dark match after the broadcast went off the air.
It’s still not known why Lesnar and Heyman were not on the show even though they were booked to be there. The photo of Lesnar and UFC President Dana White on Sunday certainly did not do Lesnar any favors as it’s known – at least for now – that he is leaving following WrestleMania.
The WWE Universal champion is supposed to be booked next for the March 12 episode of Raw from Detroit.
John Cena is going to appear on Smackdown Live tonight as his quest for a spot on the WrestleMania card continues.
The storyline revolving around Cena is that “all” his ways to the pay-per-view via the Raw brand are closed so now he’s moving over to the blue brand to try his luck over there. Addressing the fans on Raw in Anaheim, Cena said that his plan for a match against The Undertaker is “impossible” and won’t be happening so now the only way to get on the show is by using his free agent status and go to Smackdown.
Smackdown still has the Fastlane pay-per-view to go through which will take place on March 11 and John Cena will most likely be featured on the show in a match.
The plan is still that Cena will take on The Undertaker at WrestleMania 34 although how that will play on television over the next few weeks remains to be seen.
Cena was originally drafted to the Smackdown brand in 2016 but has not appeared on the show since August of last year when he returned as a free agent following WrestleMania.
Monday Night Raw rolls into Anaheim, California tonight as the red brand’s road to WrestleMania starts getting more clear.
The WWE Universal champion Brock Lesnar will be on the show tonight to confront his challenger Roman Reigns. Lesnar has not been on television ever since the Royal Rumble and is expected to be on several Raw shows leading up to the biggest show of the year.
The other big story for Raw tonight is Ronda Rousey. It seems that Kurt Angle has taken The Rock’s place and is now rumored to be teaming up with Rousey to take on Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in a mixed tag team match. The Rock, who is very active on Twitter, has not addressed what went down last night at the Elimination Chamber with his former Furious 7 co-star. Whatever the case may be, if The Rock is not on Raw tonight the chances of him being at WrestleMania will be close to zero.
John Cena’s role at WrestleMania will also be addressed. It’s the first time in a very long time that Cena has no program for WrestleMania with just over a month away for the show. Rumors are that The Undertaker will be taking on Cena come WrestleMania 34.
With his win at Elimination Chamber last night, Roman Reigns booked his WrestleMania main event ticket for the fourth consecutive year.
Reigns battled Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31 but that match was interrupted by Seth Rollins who cashed in his Money In The Bank briefcase and eventually pinned Reigns to win the title. At WrestleMania 32, he defeated Triple H to win the WWE title and then last year at WrestleMania 34, he defeated The Undertaker.
The WWE Universal title is expected to close the show at this year’s Mania and this would mean that Reigns will be the second WWE Superstar ever to headline four WrestleManias in a row. The only other Superstar who managed to do the same is Hulk Hogan, who main evented WrestleManias 5, 6, 7, and 8.
Writing about something like this could cause some people to be unhappy with the list. So, let me just go ahead and say that the entire list is subjective and my personal preference. Wrestling is nothing but two or more people fighting in a ring and trying to be the last man standing. Wrestling is now mainly held as purely an entertainment factor. But there are some people who do take wrestling seriously. There is even a lot of betting involved. So much so, that sometimes it can rival the amount of money being bet on a idn poker game. If you want to learn about poker or betting in general, you can always visit poker online Indonesia. With all that being said, let’s take a look at a few of the top wrestlers in the world.
Kurt Angle:
Kurt Angle was born in December 9th, 1968. He was an armature American wrestler before he got signed into WWE. After winning a gold medal in the summer Olympics during the summer of 1996, he soon started his career in WWE. Even though he had little to no experience in professional wrestling, he became a fan favorite very fast due to his constant win streaks and signature moves. With moves like the Ankle Lock or the Olympic Slam, he was very entertaining to watch.
Kane:
Of course, who can forget the choke-slamming, mask-wearing, terrifying wrestler called Kane? My friends and I were big fans of Kane while we were growing up. His mask alone made him look cooler than all the others. And when they announced the relationship between him and Undertaker, the crowd absolutely went wild. Every match between him and Undertaker was thrilling and entertaining.
The Undertaker:
His entrance was the best entrance in the entire history of WWE. He sometimes used to come in a Harley and his theme music that played whenever he walked to the ring was truly terrifying. He also used to hide his eye balls by rolling them backwards, which was kind of creepy but very cool, none the less.
Brock Lesnar:
One of the most powerful wrestlers ever to join WWE was also the first one to defeat The Undertaker and end his winning streak. Also being the former UFC and NCAA heavyweight champion, his raw strength and power has been an inspiration and motivation to most of the youngsters trying to build their body. It was always brutal and absolutely raw whenever Brock entered the fighting ring. Watching him was like watching an animal go wild.
The Rock:
Dwayne Johnson also known as The Rock, is now a very successful Hollywood actor. But before he started being recognized by his movies, The Rock was once the number one WWF fighter in the world. His strength and speed was unmatched and The Rock hardly last any games. He was absolutely everybody’s favorite and was the most fun to watch when it came to being entertained. His attitude and approach towards life was also loved by a lot of people.
These are my top 5 wrestlers. I am sure some of you might disagree, but like I said, this list is subjective.
WWE Universal champion Brock Lesnar met UFC President Dana White yesterday in Las Vegas and the two posed for a photo which a beaming White posted on his Twitter. Lesnar wore a UFC shirt for the pic.
Lesnar, who announced his retirement from the UFC the week of WrestleMania 31, returned to the Octagon for the UFC 200 pay-per-view while under a WWE deal, defeating Mark Hunt via a unanimous decision. Unfortunately for him though, the win was struck off his record after it was announced that he failed two USADA-administered drug tests.
Brock was suspended for a year and was given a $250,000 fine by the Nevada Athletic Commission. In February of last year, Lesnar notified the UFC that he has retired, again, and was taken off the USADA drug testing pool. Before he fights again, Lesnar still has to go through the six months left from his suspension which would be reactivated the moment he goes back to the USADA drug test pool. The USADA Athlete Test History, which is a public website, shows no tests for Lesnar in 2017 or 2018. In 2016, Lesnar was tested a total of eight times leading up to his UFC 200 fight.
A couple of months ago, UFC President Dana White said that he believes Lesnar will be back with the organization one day or another since Lesnar loves to fight. Lesnar’s WWE contract expires just after WrestleMania 34.
Meanwhile, former UFC Heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez attended the Elimination Chamber last night and had a message for Lesnar. “First @WWE event! I could feel at home here! @brocklesnar, I wouldn’t mind taking another belt from you.” Velasquez beat Lesnar for the UFC Heavyweight title in the first round back in 2010.
This year’s Warrior Award at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony will go to 15-year-old and super WWE fan Jarrius “JJ” Robertson.
JJ, a New Orleans native, has had anything but a simple life, undergoing 36 surgeries as he battled biliary atresia and liver disease.
“Jarrius has shown immeasurable amounts of courage, strength and positivity during the hardest of times. His infectious smile and personality light up any room, with no one the wiser of the pain he could have been enduring at any given moment,” WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon said. “His determination to help others fight their toughest battles and his work to bring awareness to organ donation make him a true Warrior and the perfect recipient of this year’s award in his hometown of New Orleans.”
McMahon met Jarrius five years ago when she was in town to announce WrestleMania XXX in New Orleans. Their friendship continued to grow over the years and JJ was present at the press conference last year when WWE announced that Mania would be coming back to the city.
JJ said that he feels very blessed to being honored by WWE and this award means the world to him. He will be accompanied by his brother and parents at the ceremony to accept the award. The Times-Picayune newspaper ran a feature on JJ, his Hall of Fame award, and the friendship with McMahon at NOLA.COM.
Ronda Rousey’s first full day at WWE involved a little bit of action, as she suplexed Triple H through a table and then got her WWE welcome – a hard slap from Stephanie McMahon.
It was Kurt Angle who got everyone in trouble as he spilled the beans on the power couple and their real intention for signing Rousey. First, Triple H and Stephanie showered Rousey with compliments, which confused Kurt Angle who then revealed that the two have been talking bad stuff behind her back, including how now they “own the bitch.”
Triple H said that Angle was sick and was hospitalized earlier and is now having a relapse and wanted Kurt to leave. With an angry Rousey confronting Stephanie McMahon, Triple H intervened but it wasn’t a great idea as the former UFC Bantamweight champion suplexed him through the table which was being used for the contract signing. Stephanie McMahon then slapped the hell out of Rousey and then bolted as soon as she realized that Rousey was going to tear her apart. Rousey then signed her contract and threw it on Triple H who was still selling the suplex.
UFC’s Daniel Cormier and Cain Velasquez along with her husband Travis Browne were sitting at ringside and cheering her on during the segment. You can watch parts of the segment below.
Here are the results from the 2018 Elimination Chamber pay-per-view which took place from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson defeated Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas in the Kickoff match; Alexa Bliss defeated Sasha Banks, Mickie James, Sonya Deville, Mandy Rose, and Bayley to retain the Raw Women’s title in an Elimination Chamber match; Sheamus and Cesaro defeated Titus O’Neil and Apollo to retain the Raw Tag Team titles; Asuka defeated Nia Jax; Matt Hardy defeated Bray Wyatt; Roman Reigns defeated The Miz, John Cena, Braun Strowman, Finn Balor, Seth Rollins, and Elias in an Elimination Chamber match to become the number one contender for the WWE Universal title.
Also, Ronda Rousey signed her WWE contract, suplexing Triple H through a table but then got slapped by Stephanie McMahon to end the segment.
Odds for the men’s Elimination Chamber remain unchanged from yesterday with former WWE champion Roman Reigns the favorite to become the number one contender for the Universal title. Odds for Reigns are 1/7, with Braun Strowman at 2/1, Seth Rollins at 4/1, and Finn Balor at 8/1. Cena, Elias, and The Miz are way behind with 20/1, 33/1, and 50/1 respectively.
The odds for the women’s Chamber match also stay the same with the Raw Women’s champion Alexa Bliss the favorite at 1/3 to retain her title. Sasha Banks is at 6/4, Bayley at 4/1, and Sonya Deville at 6/1. Mickie James and Mandy Rose are 25/1 and 50/1.
In the other matches, the undefeated Asuka looks to be extending her streak with odds of 1/8 against Nia Jax who is at 4/1 for the upset. Matt Hardy is at 13/20 favorite to defeat Bray Wyatt who is at 11/10 in odds. There are no odds published for the Raw Tag Team titles match as of this writing.
Odds are most likely to change as the event gets closer to bell time.
Hello everybody! It’s @TheMagnumDA here with you with the Pick’em Contest for tonight’s Elimination Chamber PPV (this year with the Raw brand). Special shoutout to Raw GM Kurt Angle, who retweeted a SWEET photo I found of him vs. Owen Hart from May 1999. I can’t believe that match even took place!
So a quick recap on the Pick’em…Throughout 2018, we’ve tallied the scores of our Pick’em staff, and so far they look like this:
MagnumDA: 4 Picks out of 6 (Missed Smackdown Tag Titles & Women’s Rumble) Heel Turn Tom: 4 Picks out of 6 (Missed Smackdown Tag Titles & Men’s Rumble) Tricky Don: 4 Picks out of 6 (Missed Smackdown Tag Titles & Men’s Rumble) Colin: 4 Picks out of 6 (Missed Smackdown Tag Titles & Men’s Rumble)
Oh, for the record…it looks like “Tricky Tom” was actually Tricky Don and his brother working together! They’ll get equal scores for Tom’s Rumble performance. COLLUSION!
So here we go with tonight’s card:
WWE Raw Tag Team Championship Match: WWE Raw Tag Champions The Bar vs. Titus Worldwide
MagnumDA: I do think that The Bar will be defending the titles at WrestleMania, so I can’t give Titus Worldwide much of a shot. The Bar retains.
Heel Turn Tom: I like how it took a few years, but Vince has a new T and A team. I could see WWE putting the belts on T&A, but not before WrestleMania and not without Trish Stratus.
Winner: Cesaro and Sheamus
Tricky Don: Titus and Apollo are a great team and I like their act. I do not see them going into WrestleMania to defend the tiles. I pick Cesaro and Sheamus.
Colin: The Raw Tag champs (The Bar) will walk out of the pay-per-view still the champions.
Elimination Chamber to Crown a New WWE Universal Title #1 Contender: John Cena vs. Elias vs. Braun Strowman vs. Roman Reigns vs. WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz vs. Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor
The Miz enters at #1, Elias enters last. Winner faces WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 34.
**Bonus Point: Who is the runner-up?**
MagnumDA: I do believe that there will be a few surprises along the way. I could see Miz pinning Strowman after a team effort. I could see Elias pinning John Cena. I could see this going in a million directions, but ultimately I think that it will come down to Roman Reigns and Elias, with Roman getting one last shot at Brock Lesnar on the big stage at WrestleMania XXXIV.
Heel Turn Tom: We will be left with Vince’s favorite two (Roman Reigns and John Cena). As much as we boo and chant both of these guys suck, they will outperform all on the show. This will end with as Roman will go for a Superman punch, miss and catch by Cena into an AA. One, two, three and Cena heads to WrestleMania to take on Brock for the Universal Championship and Ric Flair’s world title record.
Tricky Don: Although all the betting odds are with Reigns, I have to go with Rollins. Rollins will pin Reigns for the win, which means he pinned him two times in one week. Rollins first feud after he defeats Lesnar at Mania will be against a heel Reigns. After all, we are due for at least one surprise going into WrestleMania, right? Winner is Seth Freakin’ Rollins. Runner up is Roman Reigns.
Colin: I’m going with Roman Reigns. I think with the rumors of Brock leaving (again!), they would like nothing more than the new WWE poster boy to finally defeat the beast. Reigns has never pinned Lesnar if I am not mistaken. As for who will finish the runner up, I’m picking Seth Rollins.
First-Ever Women’s Elimination Chamber for the RAW Women’s Title: Bayley vs. Mandy Rose vs. Mickie James vs. Sonya Deville vs. Sasha Banks vs. Champion Alexa Bliss
Winner defends against Asuka or Asuka & Nia Jax at WrestleMania XXXIV.
**Bonus Point: Who is the runner-up?**
MagnumDA: I’m a firm believer in the Champion having one last great victory before doing the honors and losing at WrestleMania. In this case, I’m going to take Alexa Bliss going down in a blaze of glory by winning this match (last eliminating Bayley) before losing to Asuka at WrestleMania.
Heel Turn Tom: The women’s revolution continues with the Elimination Chamber. The first three eliminated will be Sonya Deville, Mickie James, and Mandy Rose. It’s nice that they are in the match, but they are not ready to defend the title at WrestleMania. Bayley, Sasha, and Alexa will be stealing the show with their work. Alexa will try to hold onto her title but the Boss will go beast mode and make Bliss tap out to the Bank Statement. Sasha goes onto WrestleMania to defend against Asuka.
Tricky Don: This is a tough one to call. I think you have to stay the course and have Alexa retain the title. I was originally going to pick Sasha, but I think she will eventually turn heel and set up a SummerSlam match with Asuka. I will go with Alexa Bliss. Runner up is Sasha Banks.
Colin: I think Bliss will retain the title here. It doesn’t mean that Bliss will take on Asuka or Asuka/Jax as Asuka has not announced who will she take on at WrestleMania. We could still have Asuka/Charlotte. Sasha gets runner-up.
Asuka vs. Nia Jax If Jax wins, she’s added to the title match at WrestleMania XXXIV to make it a Triple Threat with Asuka and the champion.
MagnumDA: In a perfect situation, Asuka would go into WrestleMania undefeated and walk out as champion. From there, she could have an entire year where she never loses. Eventually, Ronda Rousey and Asuka have a showdown and the streak ends, possibly at WrestleMania XXXV. However, I have this weird feeling in the back of my mind…before Asuka even wins the title at XXXIV, the streak is going to come to an abrupt and shocking end. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but give me Nia Jax.
Heel Turn Tom: I like Nia and thought she did great work from her time in NXT to now. But WWE is not sure if they want to book her as a monster or ‘jobber to the stars’. Today, she is the jobber and Asuka stays undefeated into WrestleMania. Come on, WWE is not dumb enough to break Asuka’s streak yet. Asuka wins.
Tricky Don: Asuka hasn’t been undefeated for all this time (and also won the first ever women’s Royal Rumble) to end her streak at the Elimination Chamber. Asuka goes over all the way.
Colin: I do not see Asuka losing going into WrestleMania and messing up her streak. The fact that Jax destroyed her on Raw is a kinda giveaway that she won’t be winning. It will be interesting to see how they finish this one as Jax has to come out looking strong. So Asuka for the win.
Matt Hardy vs. Bray Wyatt
MagnumDA: God, this has gotten weird. Give me Matt Hardy so we can have the FINAL CHAPTER in Matt Hardy’s compound. Or Sister Abigail’s house. Wherever. I don’t care.
Heel Turn Tom: The Woken experience is getting the crowd going. There will be some great promos leading into the match. This will be a solid match. Since Bray won on the 25th Anniversary of Raw, it will be Matt Hardy winning leading to a rubber match at WrestleMania. Winner: Bray Wyatt DELETE! DELETE! DELETE! Winner: Matt Hardy
Tricky Don: It was such a huge surprise that the Hardy’s returned at WrestleMania 33, and they received a huge pop. Since then, the WWE have not fully utilized Matt Hardy. Not to mention, Wyatt defeated Hardy at the Raw 25th Anniversary show. 50/50 booking, I have no other choice to pick Matt Hardy.
Colin: Bray Wyatt wins and this sets up a final match, hopefully one of those crazy Matt matches in his backyard.
Alright everybody, that’s a wrap. Enjoy the Chamber and we will see you for WRESTLEMANIA XXXIV!!
Live tonight from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, WWE presents the 2018 Elimination Chamber on the WWE Network and pay-per-view. The full card is as follows:
The Miz vs John Cena vs Braun Strowman vs Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins vs Elias vs Finn Balor in an Elimination Chamber match to determine the number one contender for the WWE Universal title; Alexa Bliss vs Sasha Banks vs Bayley vs Mickie James vs Sonya Deville vs Mandy Rose in an Elimination Chamber match for the Raw Women’s title; Cesaro and Sheamus vs Titus O’Neil and Apollo for the Raw Tag Team titles; Asuka vs Nia Jax; Matt Hardy vs Bray Wyatt; and Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson vs Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel in the Kickoff show.
The Elimination Chamber is free for first-time subscribers to the WWE Network. To start your 30-day free trial go to http://w-o.it/wwentwrk. Your free trial will also include the Fastlane pay-per-view on March 11.
A group of WWE women will once again make history tonight by competing in the first-ever women’s Elimination Chamber match in Las Vegas.
These six women – Raw Women’s champion Alexa Bliss, Sasha Banks, Bayley, Mickie James, Sonya Deville, and Mandy Rose – will be stepping in the unforgiving steel structure in hopes of becoming, or in Bliss’ case remaining, a champion and a guaranteed spot on the WrestleMania card.
Since the women’s revolution started, the WWE women have participated in matches that are typically reserved for men. They had a Money In The Bank ladder match, a Hell In A Cell match, ironman match, and even a Royal Rumble match. On several occasions, the women have main evented both Raw and Smackdown and twice main evented a pay-per-view, more recently the Royal Rumble last month.
A constant in these first-ever matches is Sasha Banks. Banks has only missed the Money In The Bank ladder match simply because it was a Smackdown-only pay-per-view. She has entered the Hell In A Cell and competed in a 34-minute iron man match, on both occasions with Charlotte. At the Royal Rumble, she was the longest-lasting woman in the ring, entering #2 and getting eliminated #27, for a total of 54 minutes and 46 seconds.
Ronda Rousey will be in a familiar place tonight, Las Vegas, for the Elimination Chamber and this event will for all intents and purposes, kickstart her WWE career.
Rousey will be assigned to the Raw brand and her involvement tonight will include signing her contract in the middle of the ring. The former UFC Bantamweight champion is now free from her filming commitments in Colombia and her priority is now WWE. Anything she does outside the company will go through them and the outside projects have to revolve around her WWE schedule and not the other way round.
It’s quite possible that her road to WrestleMania will start tonight, or the latest tomorrow in Anaheim on Raw. The rumors are that Rousey will be part of a mixed tag team match against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. McMahon has been posting videos on her Instagram doing her late-night training adding the hashtag #WrestleMania, suggesting she’s getting in shape for the eventual match.
The big question however is who will be Rousey’s tag team partner. The obvious choice would be Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The two share the same super agent, which would make negotiations less hectic. Plus, remember WrestleMania 31? Johnson and Rousey had shot an angle with Triple H and Steph in the ring which was definitely the biggest WrestleMania moment that year. Both Rock and Rousey’s involvement were kept a secret back then.
Fueling more speculation that The Rock will be her partner, a few weeks ago WWE posted a tease on their social media writing, “Just when you thought Dwayne The Rock Johnson’s calendar couldn’t get more packed…”
Whatever happens, tomorrow we will probably have a clearer picture of what Rousey’s role at WrestleMania will be.
Former Impact stars and WWE’s newest signees – Drake Maverick and EC3 – attended last night’s UFC event in Orlando, Florida and were sitting cage side for the show.
Maverick – formerly known as Rockstar Spud – has already made his debut on WWE television as the newest 205 Live GM but EC3 has yet to make an appearance since his quick cameo at NXT Takeover: Philadelphia. EC3 is still appearing in the taped episodes of Impact Wrestling and his NXT (re)debut will probably come after his final match for Impact airs on television.
Both stars are based in Orlando which made attending Fight Night Orlando easier!
The Elimination Chamber takes place tomorrow but betting odds for the two main events are already providing the clear winners for the two cage matches.
In the men’s Chamber match, Roman Reigns is the overwhelming favorite to win the match, with odds at 1/8. Braun Strowman is the second favorite at 9/2 and Rollins in third at 6/1. Balor, Elias, Cena, and The Miz are miles away from the other top three, with Balor’s odds at 25/1, 33/1 for Elias and Cena, and 50/1 for The Miz.
It’s no secret that Reigns is tipped to main event WrestleMania again with Brock Lesnar and is the guy that will eventually take the Universal title away from the beast incarnate…unless something comes out of nowhere that derails his road to WrestleMania.
The women’s Elimination Chamber match – the first one ever – also has a clear favorite right now, and that’s the current Raw Women’s champion Alexa Bliss. Her odds are at 2/5 to retain, with Sasha Banks at 7/4 in second, and Bayley at 8/1 in third. Sonya Deville is at 10/1, while Mandy Rose and Mickie James are at 33/1.
Updated odds for all the matches including these two main events will be presented tomorrow.
The WWE Network is celebrating its fourth birthday today with roughly 1.47 million subscribers, a modest but still a low number considering WWE’s worldwide reach.
Using the video streaming infrastructure of BAMTech, WWE Network was announced in Las Vegas on January 8, 2014 during the Consumer Electronics Show, and the launch date was set to February 24. Originally, the Network was available to only those in the United States although workarounds existed to get the service outside of the U.S. using VPN and DNS services.
In July of the same year, the WWE Network expanded to several other countries although it missed major markets due to complicated TV contracts. Eventually it took nearly two years after initial launch for the service to be available worldwide with many countries carrying the price of $9.99 as in the United States. The service reaches 186 countries and is only not available in 13, including North Korea, Libya, and Cuba.
The WWE Network has nearly 10,000 hours of footage, with the last count being 9,400.
A federal judge on Thursday recommended partial sanctions against attorney Konstantine Kyros, the man leading the class action lawsuit on concussion against WWE.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert A. Richardson ruled that Kyros should pay for the legal fees associated with the sanctions and also warned him that if he fails to follow another court order, he would be dismissed from the lawsuit.
Kyros is on a mission to extract millions of dollars from WWE as he is trying to blame the company for concussions and other brain-related injuries suffered by over 50 former WWE wrestlers, some of who only wrestled for the company for a very short period of time.
The lawsuit was originally filed by Vito LoGrasso and Evan Singleton and then expanded to many other wrestlers. WWE is trying to throw the case out and a decision is expected next month.
PWInsider.com is reporting that Ronda Rousey has wrapped up her filming commitments in Colombia and has already returned to the WWE Performance Center.
Rousey jetted off to Colombia on the weekend of the Royal Rumble to continue filming the movie Mile 22, but went back to the U.S. on Sunday for her surprise appearance after the women’s Rumble was over. The former UFC Bantamweight champion then immediately returned to Colombia to continue filming.
PWInsider.com also adds that Rousey was in Stamford, Connecticut, this week to visit the WWE headquarters. WWE has first preference on Rousey’s career from this point onward as she has decided to join WWE on a full-time basis.
Rousey’s next appearance on WWE television will be on Sunday night at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view in Las Vegas where she will sign her “contract” to join the Raw brand. It’s believed that her WrestleMania program will kick off on Monday night on Raw which will be live from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Impact drew 262,000 viewers this week, down 38,000 viewers from last week’s broadcast. This was the least-viewed Impact on POP for 2018 so far. (Ratings credit: Showbuzzdaily.com)
