The American Nightmare is once again holding gold in WWE as Cody Rhodes became a three-time WWE champion last night on Smackdown, beating Drew McIntyre in the main event of the show.
The match had a couple of referee bumps and some close calls when it comes pinfalls and McIntyre was looking at ending Rhodes once and for all with a chair when Jacob Fatu showed up out of nowhere and took McIntyre’s chair away. Fatu was the one who originally cost Rhodes the title against McIntyre in a Three Stages of Hell match back in January.
The distraction allowed Rhodes to hit a cutter and then his finisher for the three-count victory.
McIntyre’s run with the title lasted just 56 days and now looks to be heading into a program with Fatu for WrestleMania.
As for Rhodes, he will put the title on the line against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 42 and a contract signing is set for next week’s Smackdown.
Tonight’s Friday Night Smackdown will have a huge main event with WrestleMania implications as WWE champion Drew McIntyre will be defending his gold against Cody Rhodes, with the winner moving on to face Randy Orton at WrestleMania 42.
Rhodes was on the receiving end of an attack from McIntyre at last week’s Elimination Chamber premium live event and a quick RKO on both McIntyre and Rhodes let to Orton winning the match and earning his title shot at WrestleMania.
Also announced are Carmelo Hayes defending the United States title in the weekly open challenge and a tag team gauntlet match to determine the #1 contenders for the WWE Tag Team titles.
Plus, number one contender for the WWE Women’s title, Rhea Ripley, will come to Smackdown as her feud with Jade Cargill continues and The Irresistible Forces will have a celebration following their WWE Women’s Tag Team title win last week.
While WrestleMania 42, Smackdown, and Raw ticket sales have so far lagged in Las Vegas, the photo and autograph ops at WWE World had the opposite effect.
Individual tickets went on sale to the general public today and continued the massive interest from the pre-sale yesterday, with the absolute majority of Superstars now sold out.
As of this writing, AJ Lee, Bayley, Brie Bella, Carmelo Hayes, Chelsea Green, CM Punk, Dominik Mysterio, Drew McIntyre, Giulia, Jacob Fatu, Jade Cargill, Je’Von Evans, Jey Uso, Liv Morgan, Lyra Valkyria, Maxxine Dupri, Nikki Bella, Penta, R-Truth, Solo Sikoa, Stephanie McMahon, Stephanie Vaquer, Tiffany Stratton, and Trick Williams are all sold out along with the combo pics of AJ Lee and CM Punk, MFTs and Solo Sikoa, Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce, and The Bella Twins.
The only ones remaining available for photo and autographs are Adam Pearce, Kane, Matt Cardona, Nick Aldis, Road Dogg, Rob Van Dam, Steve Austin, Trish Stratus, and X-Pac.
Tickets are available from Epic. Prices vary depending on the Superstar selected.
MILFORD, CT – March 5th, 2026 – Janel Grant appeared alongside her attorney Erica O. Nolan in testifying before Connecticut lawmakers this week, urging them to pass legislation that would stop NDAs from being used to silence survivors of workplace sexual misconduct.
Erica O. Nolan, Partner at Hurwitz Sagarin & Slossberg and counsel for Ms. Grant, testified before the Connecticut Labor and Public Employees Committee on March 3rd in support of Senate Bill 355. The proposed bill would limit the use of nondisclosure agreements in cases of workplace harassment and discrimination similar to Ms. Grant’s experiences.
“For someone bound by an NDA, intimidation does not have to be loud or obvious – it can be as simple as a letter from a lawyer reminding a victim of what they signed,” Nolan testified. “In Ms. Grant’s case, however, the intimidation has been both loud and obvious. She has faced public retaliation, exposure of her personal information, witness intimidation, and even public mockery on national television of what she experienced.”
Nolan described Grant as “an incredibly kind, empathetic, and brave woman who has endured tremendous trauma at the hands of her abusers and their enablers.”
Ms. Gant, a survivor or workplace sexual assault and human trafficking, was forced to sign an NDA with Vince McMahon and WWE. Since speaking out, she has faced public retaliation. It is an experience that illustrates exactly why Connecticut needs stronger protections for survivors.
“She has effectively been made an example of what can happen to employees who speak out about misconduct, particularly when the employer is one of the largest in Connecticut,” Nolan said.
Nolan also asked lawmakers to amend the bill to allow survivors to proceed directly to court rather than through Connecticut’s administrative system, which imposes a 300-day deadline that can be impossible for survivors subjected to coercive control by powerful employers.
In addition to Nolan, Janel Grant made brief statements about her experiences and her advocacy for the bill. In response to questions posed by Connecticut State Representative Anne Hughes, Janel said “I care very much about the people working and living in fear – including employees who are also in the same boat [as me]. So, there is a holistic change that needs to happen… what you are doing with this legislation is so important.”
Grant and Nolan’s testimony come as Grants federal lawsuit against McMahon and WWE continues. The case has drawn national attention to the use of NDAs in cases of workplace sexual misconduct.
Steph De Lander and her husband, Mance Warner, abruptly quit TNA Wrestling this week and speaking to TMZ, De Lander explained the reasons why they decided to walk out.
De Lander underwent spinal fusion surgery back in October 2024 and TNA officials made it clear to her that she would not be allowed to wrestle for the promotion again due to her injury.
She had a one level cervical spinal fusion of her C5-C6 vertebrae, which she described as the “most basic straightforward neck injury that so many wrestlers in WWE and AEW have had” before fully recovered and returned to the ring.
“I actually went to WWE’s spinal surgeon to do the surgeries and I got clearance a few weeks ago,” De Lander told TMZ.
But she received a call on Monday where she was informed that the company was not comfortable with letting her wrestle.
“So, then I made the decision to leave, and my husband did too in solidarity.”
De Lander added that she was never evaluated by anyone in TNA following her surgery and the company never looked at her medical history or speak to her surgeon.
“I was like…’Well, I’m literally fully cleared.’ And he said, ‘Yep, not into it.’ And then I asked, ‘Do you know what my injury is?’ And he didn’t know. He couldn’t tell me what my injury was,” she said.
De Lander also revealed that she paid for her surgery and another one to add some “more hardware” in her neck as well as all her physical therapy.
“My insurance maxed out, so I currently have a $9,000 Advent Health bill sitting there,” she told TMZ.
U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr., revealed that his niece, Zoe Hines, has signed a WWE developmental deal.
RFK revealed the news while speaking at the University of Florida’s College of Medicine yesterday, before he introduced U.S. Secretary of Education and former WWE President, Linda McMahon.
“Linda McMahon is a very close friend. My niece, Zoe Hines, recently signed a contract with WWE to become a wrestler,” he said, before jokingly adding, “And I’m really looking forward to knowing so many good doctors who can treat her after.”
Hines, a college softball player, was part of the August WWE tryouts held during SummerSlam weekend.
The @WWEGames X account which runs all the WWE 2K content on the social media property uploaded a video from Matt and Jeff Hardy announcing that they will be back as playable characters in WWE 2K26.

It’s been a few years since the two brothers have been part of a WWE video game. Matt was last part of a WWE video game in 2K20 while Jeff’s last one was 2K22.

Former TNA Knockouts champion ODB made a surprise appearance on last night’s episode of TNA Impact on AMC.
The Minnesota native came out during a segment involving The Elegance Brand, making her entrance through the crowd and pulling a cooler after Heather and M by Elegance were running down Mama June and her cast who were all at ringside.
After trading some insults, ODB took down both Heather and M and low-blowed Mr. Elegance for good measure. She dragged her cooler and gave the Mama June cast some drinks, which were all dumped over The Elegance Brand’s heads.
The 47-year-old last appeared in TNA in March 2021.
Alexandra Williams has been promoted to Vice President and Lead Writer at WWE.
In her new position, Williams will oversee all creative development for Raw, leading the team and executing week-to-week storylines.
Williams has been with WWE for the past five and a half months and started as a Writer/Producer in October 2020. In February 2024, she was promoted to Senior Writer/Producer for Raw and premium live events.
PWInsider.com is reporting that Road Dogg Brian James has departed WWE and is no longer part of the creative team.
The WWE Hall of Famer has been working in a backstage role with the company since 2014, as a trainer, producer, and also in creative.
James, 56, was appointed as the head writer for Smackdown and didn’t receive many high praises from fans after the show took a bit of a nose dive following his appointment.
It is believed that he was the one who chose to leave WWE and wasn’t fired, although the reason for his departure remains unknown at this time.

Mustafa Ali sat down with Chris Van Vliet at INSIGHT Live in Chicago to discuss his guitar coffin match with Elijah on TNA Impact, a terrifying moment that took place when he was dragged to the back by a horse, Brock Lesnar telling him to “Get a life, kid”, a hilarious Undertaker story, returning to WWE NXT to challenge for the North American Championship, getting advice from AJ Styles at TNA’s AMC premiere, and more!
What’s been the scariest moment you’ve ever had in a match?
“For some reason, it’s always tied to Elijah. Technically, it was part of a match. So back in December, we were in El Paso, an incident that is now named the Lasso in El Paso. It was The Rascalz, shout out to The Rascalz. Hope they’re doing well. We’re doing this thing where I’ve had enough with the match, I’m out of here, I’m taking the high road. The lights go off and on, and then Elijah appears behind on a horse, and the idea is that he attacks me, ties me up, he lassos me and he pulls me out of the arena on a horse. That’s not the scary part, right? Little context, so I’ll give you twofold. There’s a story behind the story. Earlier in the day, we’re rehearsing this stunt, and this is just when TNA announced its partnership with AMC, there’s AMC execs there and all this stuff like that. There’s a director named George who’s been with TNA for a long time, and we’re kind of walking through this rehearsal, and it is not happening. So the horse is getting scared, the lasso is becoming undone. Elijah’s not tying it right. The cameraman’s out of position. Everyone’s messing up, except for me. The director, George, says ‘Hey, I’m gonna pull the plug on this. We’re not doing the stunt. We got to come up with something.’ I’m like, ‘George, I’m telling you, we can pull this off.’ He goes, ‘You don’t understand. AMC is here, this is a bad impression. We’re not doing it.’ I don’t know what overcame me. I said, ‘George, let me do this stunt. I put my job on it. If it goes wrong, you can fire me on the spot.’ Without any hesitation, he goes, ‘Remember what you said.’ Sh*t, what did I get myself into? I went up to him [Elijah] and go, ‘Dude, we have to do it this way. There’s a guy that handles horses. Let him tie the damn lasso. No one’s looking at him. They’re looking at you.’ He’s 300 pounds of muscle. They’re looking at you dude, relax. So we had the handler do the lasso off-screen. You just don’t see it, and then it looks like Elijah did it. So the stunt goes according to plan. I don’t get fired, but I almost die. This is why. What you guys don’t see is when the horse pulls me away, you see me screaming and all that stuff when we go down this hallway, the thing about this hallway is there’s another horse. No one told me there were two horses. The handler, because of me, was on stage doing the tying. No one is manning the horse. You guys ever see when one horse runs what another horse does? First, it gets scared and starts kicking. So the hallway, it’s slim, and there’s a horse right there. So as I’m kind of going yay, I’ve done it, I turn around, there’s a horse, and the horse is kicking and screaming and jumping. I was like, All right, this is it. This is how stupid wrestlers are. My first thought is, and there’s not a cameraman to get it. So I just cover up. I say, thank you God for the good life. I just crawled up and the horse just missed me like, right here, I felt its tail almost, and I’m yelling, stop! So luckily, security came and stopped the horse. I’m a very pleasant person, despite what people hear. I got some students in the Chicago wrestling center over there. I’m very pleasant, I don’t get mad. I was on one that day, ‘Who put this horse over here?!’ There’s a whole other horse. So yeah, I’ve never had a scary experience as bad as that in the ring. It was definitely the horse. But I’m alive.”
I hear you have a great Undertaker story:
“It was the 25th anniversary [of Raw]. It was when Raw was doing the Barclays Center and the Manhattan Center at the same time. The Manhattan Center, there’s a bunch of people that have paid a lot of money to attend this event. But here’s the problem that they didn’t plan, there was no actual matches there. It was just legends coming out and cutting a promo. So about almost an hour into it, the fans start realizing, hey, we got jibbed. There’s no matches, and they start booing recklessly. So Triple H is at the Manhattan Center. He gets on the phone, and he calls over Barclays, and he goes, ‘I need matches, and I need them now.’ So Mark Carrano goes, ‘I know, the cruiserweights!’ So he stuffs a bunch of cruiserweights into a van, and just sends us blindly to Manhattan Center. Hideo Itami is driving, I don’t know. So we’re running upstairs and everyone’s panicking, go, go, go, upstairs. Go upstairs. We’re running with our gear, because we’re all coming from Barclays. Triple H goes, ‘Situation, there’s no matches during the commercial break. I just need you guys to go out there and do the craziest sh*t for two or three minutes.’ All right, cool. So I was wrestling Lince Dorado, and we run upstairs, we have our bags, so we just open this door and we throw our bags down, we close the door, we start talking. The referee comes up and goes, ‘Hey guys, where are you changing?’ Right here. And then we look up, private locker room for The Undertaker. Open the door sheepishly, me and Lince, ‘Hello, sir. I’m Ali. This is Lince. Huge mistake. We’re just gonna grab our bags and leave.’ We go to reach for our bags, and he goes, ‘Hey, you guys don’t want to hang out with the motherf*cking Undertaker?’ Before I could say anything, Lince goes ‘Hell yeah!’ We’re changing. He’s asking us about, you know, I told him I was a former police officer. He was like, oh sh*t, we’re talking about this and that. Lince was a former teacher. So he’s like, Isn’t that crazy? We’re talking to The Undertaker about life, and then we kind of forgot that we had to go. We just ran out and did our match up. And then, yeah, it was just one of those wild experiences with the Undertaker.”
“Get a life, kid.” Brock Lesnar said this to you. What’s the story behind it?
“So it’s a little twofold, right? So I get that it was really funny, but if I tell you guys a real story and feel really, really sad, so I’ll share what I can. I would tell you guys, but I don’t want people to get in trouble. That was a shot at me from someone very high up, and not directly. The back story of this, and I’ll keep it to this. So I hope you guys can understand. I was sent to go do media, public relations for an upcoming event in Saudi Arabia called Night of Champions. So I go there. I’m not on the show. I’m going there. I’m making everyone happy. Just because it’s, you know, you’re always going to relate to someone that looks like you. I do these little events. Obviously, very appreciative of the turnout here. But the turnout there was insane. They’re expecting 500 people. There was like 3,000 people. So the guy’s like, ‘Oh, this Mustafa, maybe he does the show.’ I was like, ‘It’s the Night of Champions. You have to be a champion to be on the show. I’m not a champion.’ I didn’t realize I was talking to like the president of the GEA, which is a General Entertainment Authority that basically runs the shows in Saudi Arabia. He goes, ‘You leave it to me, I talk to Vince.’ I go No, no. He goes, ‘I’m going to request that you’re on the show.’ I think what happened was someone told Vince what to do, and he’s like, ‘Oh, okay.’ So the whole day, I kind of could sense the nervous tension about something was going to happen. I had this promo, but I’m reading it, and it was like, and then what happens? They go, ‘Well, Brock’s just gonna walk by.’ And I go, yeah? And last second, you know, let me ask you guys this question. When someone’s doing a backstage interview, where does it happen? Backstage. Not by Gorilla. So they go at the last second, I’m getting ready, ‘Oh, we’re moving the shot to gorilla now.’ And I go, right, okay, here it comes. So I didn’t know he was gonna say that. So when he said that and he walked off, there was this dead silence, because everyone that worked there, they knew what happened. They’re like, Oh, they’re trying to send a message, but it’s like, why does it have to be at my expense? So it’s just one of those things, I think, because of the frustration and because of what had happened, I think that’s why Shawn had reached out to Hunter about NXT, because right after that is when I made my NXT appearance. But again, not to cry over it like that. It is what it is, the way the cookie crumbles. I know when I look at WWE, I know that I knocked on every door, I presented every idea, I never said no for the most part, and I did good work, man. I’m never gonna look in the mirror and be like, ‘Oh man, I failed.’ I talked to a lot of my peers that have unfortunately got let go. I go, are you doing okay? And they all said the same thing. They go, ‘Man, I just wish I tried a little harder. I wish I wasn’t mad.’ I go, when I got let go, I just go, well, there’s nothing else I could have done. I tried everything. Comedy, serious, being the little guy, this guy, whatever the hell. So I walked away with that. And then, you know, when Brock said, ‘Go get a life kid’, I quite literally did that. I’m the f*cking man now!”
Two more matches, both for titles, were added to the Revolution 2026 pay-per-view card.
AEW Women’s champion Thekla will now defend her title against former champ Kris Statlander in a two-out-of-three falls match. Thekla beat Statlander in a strap match to win the title last month.
Also, new AEW Trios champions Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher, and Mark Davis will put their titles up for grabs against Kevin Knight, Mike Bailey, and Mistico.
The show has seven matches so far on the card, five of which are all for titles. The main event will feature MJF vs “Hangman” Adam Page in a last chance Texas death match for the AEW World title.
WWE star Pete Dunne will be returning to Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XV event during WrestleMania week in Las Vegas.
Dunne, now under the mask of Rayo Americano, has two Bloodsport appearances under his belt already, having made his debut for the promotion last year also during Mania week, defeating Timothy Thatcher and then defeated Jonathan Gresham in another show held during SummerSlam weekend.
“After making his Bloodsport debut last year, the ‘Bruiserweight’ had so much fun playing ‘Kill or be killed,’ he just had to come back and do it all again,” Barnett wrote in a post on social media. “Pete Dunne is returning to Josh Barnett’s: Bloodsport.”
The event, promoted by GCW, will be held at The Horseshoe Vegas on Friday, April 17 at 3PM.
Former NJPW star David Finlay showed up unexpectedly on Dynamite last night and reunited with former NJPW buddies Clark Connors and Gabe Kidd.
Finlay’s arrival came after Darby Allin and Orange Cassidy defeated Connors and Kidd in a tag team match and the German star attacked the faces with a shillelagh following the match. Connors and Kidd recovered and ganged up on Allin and Cassidy, with the trio leaving them lying in the ring.
The 32-year-old, who is the son of WWE’s Fit Finlay, wrestled for New Japan Pro-Wrestling for almost 11 years, although he did have stints with ROH, CMLL, and Impact Wrestling during that time.
Finlay was rumored to be going to WWE after his NJPW contract expired but it’s being reported that AEW’s financial offer far exceeded that of WWE’s and Finlay decided to go to AEW instead.
Afer their segment aired, AEW President Tony Khan confirmed that Kidd, Connors, and Finlay are now All Elite.
The iGaming sector remains a primary driver for financial technology adoption as operators seek to reduce transaction latency and enhance user security. Modern systems have transitioned from basic card processing to complex, decentralised frameworks that provide instantaneous global settlements.
This article examines the technological shift from traditional electronic wallets to the contemporary integration of blockchain ledgers.
Modern Payment Architectures
Current financial infrastructures in the gaming industry prioritise high throughput and rigorous data encryption to protect sensitive user information. For players seeking platforms that offer these advanced financial tools in a localised context, resources such as cazinouri.co.uk in Romanian offer essential insights into which operators provide the most efficient and secure transaction interfaces.
Electronic Wallets
Electronic wallets act as an intermediary layer between a user’s primary bank account and the gaming platform. This configuration prevents the direct exposure of sensitive banking details to multiple third-party merchants during a transaction.
Popular services such as Neteller and Skrill have dominated this space for over two decades due to their ability to process withdrawals significantly faster than traditional credit cards.
Open Banking Protocols
Open banking utilises Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to allow direct, secure communication between financial institutions and licensed gaming operators. This method eliminates the need for manual data entry and reduces the likelihood of human error during the deposit process.
Transactions are authenticated through the user’s existing banking application, often utilising biometric data such as fingerprint or facial recognition for enhanced security.
Blockchain and Distributed Ledgers
Blockchain technology introduces a decentralised method for recording transactions on a public or private ledger that remains immutable. This system removes the necessity for a central clearinghouse, which reduces the potential for single-point-of-failure errors in the payment chain.
Smart contracts further automate the distribution of winnings, ensuring that funds are released immediately upon the verification of a specific outcome within the game software.
The following list identifies the core technical advantages provided by these contemporary payment innovations:
Near-instantaneous settlement of funds compared to the three-to-five-day waiting period typical of legacy banking systems.
Lower transaction costs resulting from the removal of multiple intermediary financial processors.
Enhanced privacy through the use of pseudonymised wallet addresses rather than full personal identity disclosures for every micro-transaction.
Increased transparency as every movement of capital is timestamped and recorded on a permanent digital ledger.
Evaluating Payment Performance
The selection of a specific payment method often depends on the individual requirements for speed, anonymity, and cost. Each technology offers a different balance of these factors, influencing how users manage their digital entertainment budgets. The evolution of these systems continues to focus on removing the remaining barriers to fluid global commerce.

Future Financial Dynamics
The integration of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) and further advancements in zero-knowledge proofs will likely define the next phase of iGaming finance. These developments aim to provide the speed of blockchain with the regulatory oversight of traditional banking. Operators who adopt these hybrid models will be better positioned to offer a secure, high-speed environment for an increasingly sophisticated global user base.
Technological progress in this field ensures that the friction between a user’s intent and their ability to participate continues to diminish. The industry is moving toward a standard where the transaction itself becomes an invisible, background process. As long as security remains the primary focus, the move toward total digitisation will provide a more stable foundation for the entire digital entertainment economy.
The IInspiration did not have the most inspirational AEW TV in-ring debut on Dynamite yesterday, in fact, it was a debut to forget!
Jessica McKay and Cassie Lee wrestled Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor in their first match but the Australian duo were left humiliated after a 90-second defeat where both women were pinned at the same time.
The former WWE Tag Team and TNA Knockout Tag Team champions made their first AEW appearance in their home country last month during a non-televised live event in Brisbane but were left off television until last week when they made an on-screen appearance during a pre-taped promo on Collision.
The win continued The Brawling Birds’ undefeated streak together.
AEW has new Trios champions as Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher, and Mark Davis defeated “Hangman” Adam Page, Kevin Knight, and Mike Bailey in the main event of last night’s Dynamite.
The match ending had interference from AEW World champion MJF, who attacked his Revolution opponent Page at ringside before Knight was on the receiving end of a Rainmaker and a pile driver for the pinfall.
The former champs had a reign of 50 days with the titles and the new champs features two double champions, with Fletcher also holding the TNT title and Okada holding the International title.
