John Cena hopeful he “cracked the code” on what his future with WWE will be

Appearing at Megacon Orlando yesterday, former 17-time world champion John Cena spoke about his future in WWE and said he’s working diligently to try to figure out his next path as a contributing, useful member of WWE.

“I think I might have cracked the code…but I think we have something,” John Cena said as the crowd applauded. “And if the stars align and everybody signs off, I will be a whole lot more integrated in the system and I’m very excited about the road ahead. I’m just crossing my fingers!”

Cena has not appeared on WWE television since his retirement match this past December at Saturday Night’s Main Event. He previously announced that he signed a long-term deal to continue working for WWE.

Cena met with fans for photo ops and autographs, with his prices just $179 for a photo and $149 for regular autographs. He then held a panel later in the afternoon.

Toni Storm believed to be out for the rest of 2026

It is believed that Toni Storm will not be available for any in-ring action for the remainder of 2026 following her win against Marina Shafir at Revolution.

Storm had a face-to-face encounter with Ronda Rousey on the show and had a pull apart, with many of the idea that it was going to lead to a program between the two after Rousey is done with her upcoming MMA fight.

But on this week’s Dynamite, Storm was found laid out in the locker room, with blood all over the floor. Her scheduled no holds barred match against Shafir was then canceled and she was replaced by her friend Mina Shirakawa.

Rousey did not appear on the show for the follow-up and according to insiders, she is not signed to the promotion.

It’s still unclear what kind of injury Storm is suffering from, if it is an injury. Storm appeared at the The Big Event fan convention in Brentwood, New York yesterday and is also set for WrestleCon next month during WrestleMania weekend.

El Hijo Del Vikingo sets his sight on Penta’s WWE Intercontinental title

Former AAA Mega champion El Hijo Del Vikingo will confront current WWE Intercontinental champion Penta on next week’s third night of AAA Rey de Reyes.

In a backstage segment which aired yesterday on night two of Rey de Reyes, Dorian Roldan told Vikingo that since he can’t challenge for the title again, he should focus on something else, and that’s Penta’s WWE Intercontinental title at WrestleMania.

Vikingo made an appearance at WrestleMania 41 last year and interfered in the Rey Fenix vs El Grande Americano match. The appearance happened just hours after WWE announced the acquisition of AAA during the WrestleMania kick off show.

The popular Mexican star cannot challenge for the AAA Mega title anymore as long as Dominik Mysterio remains champion.

Mercedes Mone loses two more indie titles in England

In a segment later, Jelly Roll requested a match against Kit Wilson and it was made official for next week.

Roll is expected to be at WrestleMania in some capacity and might even lace up his boots for a match on the grandest stage of them all.

Jade Cargill forms new faction on Smackdown

Jade Cargill has engaged the services of two of her former opponents, forming a faction on Smackdown with B-Fab and Michin.

The WWE Women’s champion had a face-to-face with her WrestleMania opponent Rhea Ripley on Smackdown last night and Ripley wanted a fight, something which Cargill didn’t want.

Cargill started walking to the back but she was blocked by B-Fab and Michin, who quickly aligned with Cargill and surrounded Ripley. The three of them then beat Ripley down, with Wade Barrett calling them the Tormentors, maybe the new name of the faction.

Both B-Fab and Michin had matches against Cargill over the past few months so this group came out of nowhere.
