Dennis Condrey, founding member of The Midnight Express, passes away

Dennis Condrey, one of the founding members of The Midnight Express, passed away yesterday at the age of 74.

The Alabama native formed The Midnight Express in 1980 with Randy Rose and they were later joined by Norvell Austin until 1983, when he departed Continental Wrestling Association and formed the new version of The Midnight Express with Bobby Eaton in Mid-South Wrestling.

He was eventually replaced in the team by Stan Lane after he abruptly left Jim Crockett Promotions in 1987.

During his career, Condrey wrestled for multiple promotions and held several tag team titles with all his former Midnight Express partners.

He also had a short stint with WWE as a trainer in 2010, helping developing talent at Florida Championship Wrestling and NXT.
