West Coast Pro promoter Scott Bregante slams TNA decision as “abysmal dogshit”

West Coast Pro promoter Scott Bregante was not happy after TNA pulled all of its talent from facing AEW stars during his two upcoming shows in Las Vegas during WrestleMania weekend and called the decision “abysmal dogshit.”

“Working with talent on an independent level, after clearing everything, and doing business, only to have said talent pulled after the fact, high or low profile, gives me zero reason to work with anyone from said company making said arrangements,” he wrote, suggesting that he would not be interested in using TNA talent in the future.

“Abysmal dogshit,” Bregante continued.

He said that when you have an understanding and it gets cleared, all parties involved have weighed risks.

“To get it cleared by multiple channels and by multiple companies, to then have said company go BACK on it, is garbage. And a Memorial show at that,” he said.

West Coast Pro will run West Coast vs The World and another show in conjunction with Marvelous Pro Wrestling at Bizarre Bar in Las Vegas.

TNA pulls all talent from wrestling AEW stars at indie shows

TNA Wrestling has pulled all of its talent from their booked matches against AEW talent at upcoming independent shows during WrestleMania weekend and beyond.

The matches were all originally given the green light but TNA President Carlos Silva pulled the plug on everything after rumored interference from WWE. There are also rumors that Silva was not pleased that AEW moved their Collision show to Thursday last week, which made the decision even more easier.

Moose was removed from the MLP Multiverse show while Leon Slater was removed from his planned match against Ricochet at the annual Mark Hitchcock Supershow. Former TNA champion Nic Nemeth was also pulled from his match against MJF for Create-A-Pro on May 1, a decision which did not go down well.

All TNA talent were also removed from the West Coast Pro shows during Mania week.

TNA has a working relationship with WWE through NXT.

United Empire members help Will Ospreay on Dynamite

Will Ospreay got some backup on Dynamite yesterday in the form of United Empire in his fight against The Death Riders.

Last week, Ospreay was at the NJPW Sakura Genesis show and asked new IWGP champion Callum Newman for some help back at AEW.

Newman, Heare, and Francesco Akira, three members of the United Empire group which Will Ospreay originally founded, joined Ospreay in an eight-man tag match on the show, taking on Jon Moxley, Pac, Daniel Garcia, and Claudio Castagnoli.

The NJPW faction won the match after both Ospreay and Newman pinned Moxley, with Newman saving Ospreay from a Mox pin after a Paradigm Shift.

TNT title vacated, new champion to be crowned this weekend at Dynasty

The TNT title was vacated last night on Dynamite due to Kyle Fletcher’s meniscus injury.

Fletcher was injured on Collision last month in a match with Mark Davis against The Rascalz. Recovery for non-surgery meniscus injuries usually take up to eight weeks while if surgery is required, he could face up to six months on the sidelines.

A new TNT champion will be crowned this weekend at Dynasty in a Casino Gauntlet match. Tommaso Ciampa will be the first one to enter the match after he defeated Mascara Dorada yesterday to determine who gets #1.

Fletcher held on to the title for 56 days before he had to vacate it.

Chris Jericho puts Ricochet on “the list” and gets Dynasty match

Chris Jericho will be having his first match since April 6, 2025 at this weekend’s Dynasty pay-per-view, facing former AEW National champion Ricochet in a one-on-one match.

Ricochet and GoA interrupted Jericho’s promo last night on Dynamite and thrashed the former AEW champion. Jericho, in return, informed Ricochet that something new in his contract allows him to wrestle someone who doesn’t have a match on the PPV.

Jericho teased Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona first but then said he was going to do something he has not done in ten years and Ricochet is the perfect candidate for it.

“You know what happens when you’re bald, wearing a fancy pants sweatsuit and when Jericho needs an opponent when he doesn’t have one?” Jericho told Ricochet.

And yes, out came The List, the popular clipboard, where Jericho told Ricochet that he just made “the list!”

WrestleMania 42 has so far 20,000 tickets less compared to same period last year

WrestleMania 42

In data released by @WrestleTix, WWE have approximately sold 10,000 tickets less for each night for WrestleMania 42 compared to the same period last year in the same venue.

WrestleMania Saturday is just over 39,200 tickets distributed so far, with last year’s count standing at around 48,600 during the same timeframe. WrestleMania Sunday is selling just slightly better, with over 41,200 tickets out now compared to 51,000 in the same period last year.

This drop would put ticket sales at approximately 20% less than the previous year, and while earlier ticket discounts narrowed the gap, the last few weeks saw that gap get even wider as sales came to a halt.

WWE are expected to lower prices for both nights over the next couple of days for a final push. The company typically sells over 1,000 tickets a day in the last week of the show, but with Las Vegas being mostly full of out-of-town fans, the drop in prices could be a little too late considering most hotels and flights are now really expensive.

While WrestleMania 41 grossed over $65 million in gate money over two nights, this year’s show will probably get close to that number even though with a combined 20,000 tickets less so far due to the high ticket prices offsetting the slow sales.

A ticket is required for entry. WWE did not specify on which day the Hogan documentary event will be held yet.

Tony Khan discusses meeting with Shane McMahon in Texas

During his appearance on The Coach & Bro podcast, Tony Khan also discussed the meeting he had with Shane McMahon a couple of years ago in Texas, which sparked a big rumor online that McMahon was going to appear on AEW television.

Khan said it was McMahon who reached out to him to get together and they eventually met at an airport in Dallas, a meeting which Khan described as having a pleasant conversation.

The AEW President was surprised that a photo was published from the meeting.

“I thought it was pretty unusual, it could just be someone who worked at the airport, but I had nothing to do with it,” Khan told Coach and Russo.

He theorized that since Shane is a very recognizable face in the world of sports, someone could have seen them in the room and snapped the picture.

“I’m in a lot of rooms with a lot of people. I’ve only had that happen one time, so I thought that was unusual. You can see in the photo I’m very surprised, and I noticed he wasn’t as surprised as I was,” he said.

Khan described Shane as a “really interesting guy” and the two had a nice talk together but didn’t come out of the meeting thinking that Shane wanted to be an on-screen character on AEW television.

“He had a lot of interesting experiences that are different than mine, but I don’t think he went into it thinking I want to be a character on this guy’s show,” Khan continued.

Tony Khan breaks silence on $6.9 billion bid to purchase WWE in 2023

AEW President Tony Khan broke his silence on making a bid to buy WWE back in 2023 during an appearance on The Coach and Bro podcast with Jonathan Coachman and Vince Russo.

While kept secret for a few years, the bid, through another company called Base 10, was for $6.9 billion and ultimately fell short of what it intended to do, with the offer being the lowest one out of the bunch.

“I was very interested in the process and I think that if there was going to be a sale I would at least want to have a chance to be involved and if it had gone for any less than that I would have really kicked myself,” Khan said, speaking about the subject for the very first time.

Asked if he had a chance to counter-bid or see any other information, Khan said he doesn’t have any complaints about the process from his side and while there were some stuff that he can’t talk about due to the confidentiality agreement, he’s happy with how things went.

Quizzed about the $6.9 billion figure which was published in the WWE shareholders lawsuit, Khan said it’s not something that he’s talked about or act big league about.

“You know, I’ve really tried to focus on the wrestling show and that was several years ago and and thankfully those have been really good years for AEW,” he said.

WrestleMania 42

DJ Valentino Khan is returning to WrestleMania and will be DJing both nights at Allegiant Stadium.

Khan has already performed at a few big WWE events, including a previous WrestleMania, where he welcomed fans inside the stadium with popular songs.

“I’m back again DJing WWE Wrestlemania in Vegas,” Khan wrote in a post on X along with a skit of trying to get Rey and Dominik Mysterio back on the same page.

“Tried to get Dom & Rey Mysterio to hash it out. It didn’t go so well. Pull up for my sets April 18 & 19 at Allegiant Stadium + all weekend long at WWE World (still working on the Rey & Dom situation),” Khan added.

Ric Flair says WWE forced him out of Roots of Fight merchandise deal

Ric Flair bashed WWE for forcing him to end his relationship with Roots of Fight and accused the company of trying to “kill him” and diminish his legacy.

“I Always Played By Your Rules And Kept It At 16. Paid Vince McMahon Back 800k When He Said He Would Forgive It. I Honored It,” Flair wrote in a post on X.

“Fortunately, I Still Make 1 Million Dollars From The GREAT Ryan Fiterman @FitermanSports. 500k From Ric Flair Drip. And Thank God For @TonyKhan. What More Of My Legacy Do You Want To Destroy WWE,” he continued.

He added that everyone grew up lowing him and he set the bar and now they’re trying to kill him and diminish his legacy.
