Impact last week drew 200,000 viewers, down 56,000 viewers from the prior show. The drop was mainly due to the first hour going head-to-head with AEW’s Collision. In 18-49, Impact drew the same 0.05 rating of the previous week. (Ratings credit: Programming Insider)
Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez in concussion protocol after nasty clash of heads
Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez have been placed in concussion protocol after the two crashed heads during a backstage segment on Raw last night.
Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline is reporting that the two are now under observation, with Morgan standing to lose the most if she is not cleared in time for her WrestleMania match.
It was WWE Women’s World champion Stephanie Vaquer who ambushed Morgan from behind, sending her crashing into her Judgment Day teammate in a nasty head-on-head collision. Morgan was then also thrown into a television set, breaking it.
Perez had just returned to TV after two months out following surgery to remove a benign growth in her back.
Morgan showed off a huge lump on her forehead in photos posted on Instagram, with her fellow Judgment Day members making fun of her.
Iyo Sky challenges Asuka for a match at WrestleMania 42
Iyo Sky has challenged Asuka for a match at WrestleMania 42 and is ready to take revenge following Asuka’s treatment of Kairi Sane.
Asuka blamed Sky for disrupting the relationship between The Kabuki Warriors and said that once Sky left the duo, she tried to get Sane to do the same.
“Asuka… The achievements you’ve made in WWE have been truly brilliant. Kairi and I have always looked up to you. But the way you’re treating Kairi right now is changing all of that,” Sky wrote in a post on social media.
“If dragging Kairi around and using her as a shield is your idea of ‘LOVE,’ then my ‘LOVE’ is to go anywhere and everywhere to be Rhea’s shield. I’m DEFINITELY NOT afraid to face You, my senior whom I once LOVED so dearly,” the former champ continued.
Sky then challenged Asuka to settle this once and for all.
“Hope to see you in Vegas,” Sky concluded.
Alberto El Patron arrested in Mexico for domestic violence
Alberto El Patron has been arrested for domestic violence again.
Mexican news outlet Milenio broke the story, saying the former WWE and AAA champion was taken into custody in San Luis Potosí yesterday following accusations from his wife, who called 911 for help. He was arrested after his wife showed signs of violence on her face and arms.
He could face prison time if found guilty of charges. The San Luis Potosí Attorney General’s Office is handling the case.
His mug shot was published by Milenio and is available on their website.
El Patron faced similar accusations as well as sexual assault and kidnapping in 2020 when he was living in Texas with his then-girlfriend. Charges were dropped a year later.
Six-man tag match added to WrestleMania 42
Another match has been added to the WrestleMania card, this time a six-man tag match.
On Raw last night, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce announced that The Usos will team up with LA Knight to take on Logan Paul, Austin Theory, and IShowSpeed after Speed got himself involved yet again in the Knight vs Theory match.
Speed was on Raw to try and get un-cursed by Danhausen, but his attempts landed him in more trouble and eventually into a match at WrestleMania.
The popular streamer did some wrestling training for the Speed Goes Pro YouTube show and got massive props from Randy Orton. This will be his first official match, although he does have one Royal Rumble appearance under his belt.
That Rumble appearance saw him getting speared to hell and back by Bron Breakker, a clip which went viral on social media.
Rey Mysterio added to WWE Intercontinental title ladder match at WrestleMania 42
Rey Mysterio is going to WrestleMania after all.
The WWE Hall of Famer, who has been injured since the Royal Rumble, was Gunther’s original opponent on the show but following last night’s Raw, Mysterio has now been added to the ladder match for the WWE Intercontinental title.
The match was announced as a five-way but is now a six-way with Mysterio, champ Penta, Je’Von Evans, Dragon Lee, JD McDonagh, and Rusev.
Mysterio showed up on Raw after Penta, Lee, and Evans defeated Los Americanos in a six-man tag match, and said that their upcoming ladder match could end up one of the best matches in WrestleMania history.
The former champ said that last year he missed WrestleMania due to an injury he suffered the night before but this time, it’s WrestleMania which is missing Mysterio. He said that he talked to Adam Pearce and was added to the ladder match.
Penta welcomed Mysterio’s announcement and told him, “Let’s make history!”
CM Punk drops another pipe bomb on Raw, targeting McMahon, Emanuel, Reigns, and McAfee
CM Punk dropped his latest pipe bomb on Raw last night, attacking Roman Reigns, former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, Pat McAfee, The Rock, TKO chief Ari Emanuel, and TKO for raising ticket prices.
Punk, who opened the show, addressed his WrestleMania opponent first, telling Reigns that he’s a “bucktoothed nepo baby who ate dog food for a weird, old man.” This was in reference to a Vince McMahon angle where Reigns was forced to eat dog food during an angle with Baron Corbin.
“That weird, old man for years treated me like a dog and he expected me to smile but I had F U money so I took that and my dignity and left,” he continued, referring to his fall out with Vince McMahon.
Punk also referenced Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, telling Reigns that he does not have a “bloated cousin” who is on the TKO Board of Directors.
The WWE World Heavyweight champion then turned his attention to Pat McAfee. McAfee wondered why tickets for WrestleMania remain available.
“Do me a favor and call up that agent that was foolish enough to shoehorn you into this business and this show and tell him to lower the ticket prices,” Punk said, referring to TKO chief Ari Emanuel. It was Emanuel who pushed for McAfee to be part of the angle with Orton and Rhodes. The line got a massive cheer from the Houston crowd. Punk also warned McAfee that he has a receipt coming his way.
“Lower the ticket prices because I want all of these families to come watch me stand on Roman Reigns’ throat at WrestleMania,” he continued. “Because my name is CM Punk, and I approve this message!”
Punk said that he can “gleefully stand on the bridge and blow it up” because, “bitch, I know how to swim.” The line is a reference to about not being afraid to get fired because he will still land on his feet.

Pat McAfee addresses the “IWC dipshits” after backlash following mystery caller reveal
Pat McAfee addressed the complaints from wrestling fans following his involvement in the Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton program this past Friday on Smackdown.
McAfee was revealed as the mystery caller with Orton and attacked Cody Rhodes at the beginning of the show, saying that Randy Orton is going to save the business.
Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show on ESPN earlier today, McAfee took a shot at the “IWC dipshits” who have no idea what is good for them.
“They have no idea what they’ve been missing, they have no idea what it’s supposed to look like. Now we change that. That’s the Internet Wrestling Community,” McAfee said. “They’re not the biggest fans of what happened, they’re pretty upset about it. But they are a part of the problem. They are the ones that said, ‘Yeah, this is what it’s supposed to be, all this stuff.’ It’s like…’Nah, let us show you what it’s supposed to be whenever Randy Orton is at the top of the marquee.'”
McAfee said that WrestleMania is going to be spectacular and special and future wrestling generation fans will look back on that weekend and say, “That was the moment that that GOAT saved the entire business by becoming 15-time World champion,” referring to Orton.
The addition of McAfee has been the idea of TKO chief Ari Emanuel and he was, according to multiple reports, the number one pick for the role he’s in right now.

Hulk Hogan: Real American Netflix documentary to premiere on April 22
Netflix today announced that the Hulk Hogan: Real American documentary will premiere on April 22.
The behind-the-scenes documentary which promises to tell “the real story” of the man behind Hulk Hogan, was being filmed while he unexpectedly passed away last year.
Netflix did manage to get an enormous amount of hours in interviews with Hogan during the multi-year filming and his last interview before he passed away was for this documentary.
The documentary also features new sit-down interviews with many people who knew Hogan the most, including his ex-wife Linda and a lot of his peers.
“Terry Bollea was just a human being. But when I went that ring, brother, I was Hulk Hogan,” Hogan says in one of the interviews. “I can’t predict it what the final act of the story will be, but the legend of Hulk Hogan will live forever.”
Netflix is marketing this as a limited series and is expected to feature four parts.
APAC Wrestling founder Ayez Shaukat addresses Mercedes Mone situation vacating his title
Ayez Shaukat, the founder of APAC Wrestling in Malaysia, used social media to clear some narratives following Mercedes Mone’s reveal that she vacated the APAC Women’s wrestling after the Malaysian promotion ran into financial trouble and couldn’t fly her in for a match.
Shaukat said he did not ask any other promotions to cover the cost to fly her in, and he was just trying to make it work for Mone to wrestle in a different indie promotion and drop the title there.
“The public narrative being pushed does not fully reflect what actually happened. We did try. We did explore working with other promotions, because that was what was asked of us. I personally reached out, followed up, and tried to make multiple scenarios work,” he wrote.
“For more context, I was even willing to go beyond our limits on my side. I openly said I would take on extra work and secure sponsors to try and bring Mercedes to Malaysia. That ultimately was not workable, which I understand, so we were pushed to explore solutions abroad instead,” he continued.
Shaukat said that he tried to work with two promotions in Poland and France but ultimately, it did not make business sense financially for them. He also said he reached out to Winnipeg Pro Wrestling, where their interaction was minimal after he was initially ignored and then received one response declining the offer.
Regardless of what went down, Shaukat said he has nothing but respect for Mercedes Mone and does not blame her for the situation and loved the opportunity they had to work together.
“To Mercedes, I sincerely apologize for any public discomfort this has caused. I still have respect for you, and I understand you are likely speaking from what was communicated to you,” he wrote, addressing the AEW star.
Shaukat added that APAC Wrestling operates without major sponsors and they often lose money running shows, so international travel and associated logistics add to that financial burden.
Mone defend Nor “Phoenix” Dina for the title om Mpve, ner 2025 at the HOG x The Big Event SuperClash 2025 in Brentwood, New York. The original plan had Mone travel to Malaysia to drop the title back to the Malaysian star in front of her home crowd.
“End result: Nor Phoenix Diana didn’t get closure. Just truth,” Shaukat concluded.
Ted DiBiase Jr. added to WrestleCon during WrestleMania weekend
Fresh off his acquittal from 13 charges by a Mississippi jury, Ted DiBiase Jr. is making his first public appearance at WrestleCon during WrestleMania weekend.
DiBiase Jr. will be appearing at all four days of the popular convention, starting April 16 at the Horseshoe in Las Vegas.
The former WWE Tag Team champion had charges filed against him by the U.S. Department of Justice in April 2023, accusing him with misappropriating millions of dollars in federal safety-net funds intended for needy families and low-income individuals in Mississippi.
He was facing one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and to commit theft concerning programs receiving federal funds, six counts of wire fraud, two counts of theft concerning programs receiving federal funds and four counts of money laundering. His worst case scenario saw him spending a maximum 45 years in prison and pay $1,000,000 in fines.
But on March 20, a jury found DiBiase Jr. not guilty on all charges and is now free from all legal problems.
Report: Cody Rhodes’ promo on Smackdown was not originally part of the show
PWInsider.com is reporting that the Cody Rhodes segment on Smackdown where he came out to vent after his beatdown from Randy Orton and Pat McAfee was not originally part of the show and served as some sort of a “complaint” about the creative direction heading into WrestleMania.
Multiple sources added that the addition of Pat McAfee and his subsequent reveal as Randy Orton’s mystery caller came directly from the very top of the TKO hierarchy, most specifically the big boss himself, Ari Emanuel. The WWE creative team, headed up by Paul “Triple H” Levesque, were not part of the decision-making process of adding McAfee into the program.
This is the second time in a row that TKO chiefs have forced a celebrity into a feud at WrestleMania. Last year, Travis Scott was added to the mix in the Cody Rhodes and John Cena feud after a push from the TKO board and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The move ultimately did not pay off after Scott was not committed to continue the angle after Mania.
PWInsider adds that Rhodes was told to go out and “shoot” with no script handed to him. Rhodes came up with the line of comparing McAfee’s reveal to what if Nash and Hall revealed Disco Inferno as the nWo’s third man.
While McAfee is loved by the WWE crew, the popular broadcaster has no connection whatsoever to either Orton or Rhodes and his addition was simply seen as a marketing stunt.
Mercedes Mone vacates APAC Women’s title due to budget issues
Mercedes Mone revealed in her latest installment of Mone Mag that she has vacated the APAC Women’s title, the last indie title she was holding, after the Malaysian promotion was unable to fly her back to the country due to budget issues.
Mone wrote that she offered to drop the title to someone while working with another promotion in the United States but APAC Wrestling were not interested.
“My team and I really tried to make things work — we put in the effort, had the conversations, and explored every option. But at the end of the day, they told us they didn’t have the budget to fly me out and weren’t open to working with other promotions,” Mone wrote. “For me? That just didn’t align with the vision. So I made the decision to vacate the title.”
Mone dropped all her indie titles by losing clean to opponents that the promotions chose and she wanted to do the same for APAC Wrestling as well.
This means that Mone is now down to the ceremonial Owen Hart Cup Tournament title and no longer is in possession of any other wrestling championship.
During 2025, the former TBS champion won and carried 13 title belts simultaneously, surpassing the Ultimo Dragon 11-title record set 30 years prior.
Tony D’Angelo becomes the new NXT champion at Stand & Deliver
After five years in NXT, Tony D’Angelo has finally won the big one and was crowned the new NXT champion last night at Stand & Deliver.
The 30-year-old Illinois native defeated champion Joe Hendry, Ricky Saints, and Ethan Page in a fatal four-way match in the main event of the PLE, which aired on YouTube in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.
The ending of the match came when Hendry went for his Standing Ovation finisher but D’Angelo got out of it and speared Hendry. He then hit his Death to Rights chokeslam on the Scotsman for the three count victory.
D’Angelo has been signed to WWE since February 2021 and has always been part of the NXT roster. While he has previously won the NXT North American and the NXT Tag Team titles, he always failed to win the main title until last night.
This win brought to an end Hendry’s reign after just 60 days. There are rumors that Hendry will soon be called up to the main roster.
