WWE receiving around $4.2 million in tax credits from Nevada for WrestleMania 42

WrestleMania 42

Brandon Thurston of POST Wrestling is reporting that WWE is receiving around $4.2 million in tax credits from the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development to offset production costs for hosting WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.

The tax credit covers the two-night WrestleMania as well as all the other WWE-associated events during the week.

WWE estimated that the total production cost bill will be in the range of $35 million, slightly above last year’s. A final tax credit bill will be issued once WWE’s accounts are independently verified.

The money comes from the who focus on bringing in film and entertainment business to the state, and is figured out based on total production costs which WWE put at $35 million.

WWE is also receiving a site fee for hosting the show in Las Vegas again, however that sum has not been revealed yet.

Liv Morgan discusses eighth WrestleMania, winning the Royal Rumble, John Cena, and more

Liv Morgan sat down with Chris Van Vliet in Las Vegas, Nevada to discuss winning the Women’s Royal Rumble after being in the match every year since it began, the upcoming WWE Women’s World Championship match against Stephanie Vaquer, her return from injury at Survivor Series and her low blow John Cena, why she believes she and Dominik Mysterio are the greatest couple in WWE history, her memorable NXT debut and much more!

This is your eighth WrestleMania. How’s that feel?

“Iconic. We’re just going, and we’re just getting better matches every single year.”

Do you feel the pressure going into this one?

“Not right now, and not in a bad way. I don’t know. I feel like since I’ve come back from my injury, I’m very much just trying to stay in the moment and be present. Obviously, WrestleMania is heavy on my mind, but I’m not feeling any anxiety or pressure yet. I’m just kind of taking everything day by day and just preparing as best as I can. So no, I don’t feel pressure right now in this moment.”

What happened with this injury, and did you immediately know something was wrong?

“Yeah, I just took a weird fall, tried to brace myself, which is stupid. As soon as it happened, I knew, just because you can’t feel anything. But first of all, it’s like such an intense pain, then it just goes away, and then you can’t feel anything because your shoulder is just not connected. So yeah, I knew. I rolled out the ring. I tried to pop it back in. Medical came and tried to pop it back in, and it was kind of just like, I can’t continue, I can’t do anything else. So I had to throw in the towel, which I hated. I think I tried to be really optimistic until my MRI news, I was like, I think I’m okay, but I had done the same thing two years prior. So I knew it wasn’t okay, but I didn’t really want to speak it into existence.”

What a return at Survivor Series. The look on your face just sold that moment so perfectly.

“I don’t even know how I did that. My eyes, I was like, Whoa, dilated. I must have tapped into something right there. I don’t know. But yeah, it was so iconic, and I couldn’t have written a better return, and I mean that so wholeheartedly. I couldn’t, first of all, I would not even have come up with that myself, that was so much more grand and special to me than anything I could have thought of myself. So I was just so happy and honored.”

You were on the receiving end of one of Bianca Belair’s hardest, loudest hair whips ever. How long did it take for that to heal up?

“I had a scar for quite a while. Honestly, I haven’t looked at it in a bit. I still think I have a very bit of a tail end mark. Also my back too. I have a scar on my back from some injury I had taken from the Elimination Chamber. So yeah, it scarred me up pretty well. But honestly, that’s like one of my favorite matches ever. That was one of my favorite matches ever, and like the final two with Bianca and I is one of my favorite moments. I feel like the audience really didn’t know who was going to take it. I think just that Chamber specifically in and of itself, with Jade and Naomi. I just think it was so well done. I think that was like one of the best Chamber matches, in my opinion, for the women.”

Nikki Bella still waiting for MRI results over ankle injury

In an interview with Angie Martinez published yesterday, Nikki Bella revealed that she is still waiting results of an MRI from her ankle injury which she suffered a few weeks ago during a tag match.

Nikki rolled her ankle during the start of the match as she teamed up with her sister Brie to take on Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. Nikki finished the match, but said that it was stressful both for her and her sister, who was only in her second match back in eight years.

“So she tags me and as I’m about to come in, she goes, ‘Oh I think I broke my ankle!’ and we’re on live television,” Brie explained. “I was like, ‘Huh?’ I was like, ‘Do we need to call the match?'”

Nikki said she thought it was broken as it felt exactly how it felt the last time she broke her ankle but results are still not out yet.

“We don’t know if it’s a high sprain or something else, so I got an MRI I’m waiting for the results,” Nikki said.

The twins are in a fatal four-way tag team match featuring also champions Nia Jax and Lash Legend, Bliss and Flair, and Bayley and Lyra Valkyria. In the event that Nikki is not cleared to compete, a replacement team is rumored to be on standby.

MJF calls TNA President Carlos Silva a “dumb motherf*cker” for pulling talent

MJF called TNA President Carlos Silva a “dumb motherf*cker” in a post on X after news came out that Silva pulled out all TNA talent from wrestling AEW stars at several indie shows during WrestleMania 42 weekend and beyond.

There were rumors that Silva was not happy that AEW moved Collision to Thursday last week, head-to-head with their program.

“It’s called being preempted due to March madness,” MJF wrote on X. “This guy is actively a dumb motherf*cker. Congrats. You pay your talents shit. Force them off shows where they can make money. #lolTna”

The AEW World champion continued to bury Silva during an appearance on Busted Open Radio today, calling Silva’s tactics as “disgusting.”

MJF said that TNA barely pays their talent any money and are now preventing them from shows because they’re banned from wrestling people from other promotions.

“Does that help young talent grow? Does that help young talent become better inside the squared circle? Moreover, does that help young talent put food on their plate so they can eat?” MJF said.

“What Carlos Silva is doing is disgusting. And if anybody supports him or that company at this point, it is very hard for me to wrap my head around,” he continued.

West Coast Pro promoter Scott Bregante slams TNA decision as “abysmal dogshit”

West Coast Pro promoter Scott Bregante was not happy after TNA pulled all of its talent from facing AEW stars during his two upcoming shows in Las Vegas during WrestleMania weekend and called the decision “abysmal dogshit.”

“Working with talent on an independent level, after clearing everything, and doing business, only to have said talent pulled after the fact, high or low profile, gives me zero reason to work with anyone from said company making said arrangements,” he wrote, suggesting that he would not be interested in using TNA talent in the future.

“Abysmal dogshit,” Bregante continued.

He said that when you have an understanding and it gets cleared, all parties involved have weighed risks.

“To get it cleared by multiple channels and by multiple companies, to then have said company go BACK on it, is garbage. And a Memorial show at that,” he said.

West Coast Pro will run West Coast vs The World and another show in conjunction with Marvelous Pro Wrestling at Bizarre Bar in Las Vegas.
