Shinsuke Nakamura confirms leaving NJPW to go to WWE

New Japan’s IWGP Intercontinental champion Shinsuke Nakamura told the Tokyo Sports publication that he is leaving NJPW at the end of January and heading for a bigger stage, WWE.

This is the first official confirmation from Nakamura – who is still under a NJPW contract – that put rumors to rest about his future and the rumors of his NJPW buddies also jumping ship.

AJ Styles, Doc Gallows, and Karl Anderson are also on the way to Stamford, Connecticut, with all three giving notice to NJPW.

All four wrestled at the NJPW WrestleKingdom 10 mega event last week, with Styles booted from the Bullet Club while Gallows and Anderson losing their IWGP Tag Team titles. Nakamura retained his title however he already seems to be dropping the title to the new leader of the Bullet Club, Kenny Omega.
