Season three of Young Rock to move to Friday nights

Dwayne Johnson’s Young Rock will be moving to Friday nights once season three comes around in November.

In the television industry, a move from any other day to twhat is called the Friday night death slot, is not good news for that particular show as it’s usually the final stop before being canceled.

NBC is trying a comedy block for Friday night, teaming Young Rock with Lopez vs. Lopez, a show which will serve as the lead-in for Young Rock. Johnson’s show will air from 8:30PM to 9PM, running head-to-head with Smackdown on FOX for that 30 minutes.

There are three more episodes left in season two, with the season finale airing on May 24. This season has done almost a million viewers less on average per episode compared to season one.
