Paramount Global launching Wrestling Central FAST channel

Variety is reporting that Paramount Global Content Distribution is soon launching an all-wrestling FAST channel called Wrestling Central. The announcement was made ahead of its LA Screenings presentation set for today.

The new channel will stream on The Roku Channel in the U.S. and Canada and feature matches from the National Wrestling Alliance and Women Of Wrestling.

“This new FAST Channel premiering exclusively on The Roku Channel from two of the most exciting wrestling promotions will offer fans an exclusive and unique destination to catch both new, action-packed matches along with hundreds of hours of classic library content,” said Dan Cohen, chief content licensing officer, Paramount and president, Republic Pictures.

FAST, standing for free advertising-supported streaming television, offer traditional linear television programming and is the model in use by Pluto, Tubi, The Roku Channel and more.

This will be the first time the NWA will be available on such a platform.
