AEW-bound Mercedes Mone was a presenter at the 2024 Crunchyroll Anime Awards which were held today in Tokyo, Japan.

Crunchyroll marketed Mercedes under her real name of Mercedes Varnado and listed her as a “WWE World champion, actress, and entrepreneur.”

She presented the Best Slice of Life Award along with NFL player DeMarcus Lawrence and was introduced as “from Star Wars Mandalorian and global pro wrestling superstar.”

Mone is a big anime fan and this trip has been booked for a while. She is now just two weeks away from her AEW debut at the Dynamite: Big Business event from the TD Garden in her hometown of Boston.
